What other way can you leave Minna?

oniyeye!!!
cheesy
Most people commenting obviously don’t have any clue.
Afaik, no state capital in the South is safer than Minna. The level of insecurity you will find in Minna is what you’ll find even in the FCT. The earlier we know this, the better.
Suleja-Minna road/axis has no security threat. There are lots of people working in Abuja with their families in Minna who use that road twice weekly.

Op has absolutely no reason to consider Suleja at all, except if his office is there.

I just got a good job offer in Niger state but before I leave my current job I would need to get some information about Minna and Suleja. My office is located at Minna and I have two options to getting an apartment in Minna (close to the office but far from the nearest airport) or Suleja (close to Abuja but far from office). I would need the help of persons who know Niger state well.

1) What is the power supply situation in Minna and Suleja? Which is better?
2) Is the journey from Suleja to Minna (a 2hr journey) a safe one to make regularly?
3) What is the internet connection in Minna and Suleja like?
4) What is the maximum rent cost for a comfortable self-contain apartment with water and good amenities?
5) Is the security situation in Niger generally too bad for work?

Please guys your feedback will be highly appreciated.

I can't say much about Suleja, but I can chip in a few tips on Minna because I am resident there.

If you need a standard studio apartment with water, your budget should be around 150k. For a room and parlor, your budget should be around 200 or so.

You are entitled to 8 to 10 hours of power supply daily from the distribution company.

I won't advise that you do the Suleja-Minna trip too often.

Niger state is not safe, but Minna is safe, provided you don't move around at night and you don't "show yourself"

You may have a few worries being here, but internet won't be one.

Go to minna and get a house in Bosso area, London Street if you can afford the rent. Water and light is relatively steady and safe too. Don't try working from suleja pls, its dangerous travelling that road regularly and n d road is kind of bad.

Bosso is overpopulated and a tad bit insecure due to those local miscreants. London street is more decent, but I think op should settle in an area close to his working environment.

Suleja to Minna on a daily basis is highly risky. Just stay put in Minna and enjoy your cheap foodstuffs and Nupe girls.
You will live to thank your stars you got this offer. Na you go tire, aswear!

Op you see the area @ the bolded, if you can get accomodation there it will be nice, I stayed in that axis for over 8 years while living there. It is close to the state police headquarters, good road network and street lights along the area's major road, However light in minna is strictly 10 hours per day or so.

hey bro am thinking of relocating to minna. is there chances of job opportunity?

As someone who spends his entire life in Minna, I can tell you that there are no job opportunities except you create a business yourself. Such businesses may include gaming center, football viewing center, provision store.

Right now, I'm just waiting to finish my degree in Futminna and Japa to another state like Kano or Abuja

Look at that job very well and be sure that it is not one own and run by a mad man like Emeka Nwankwo of Aquada Development Corporation.
This mentally ill man made me leave a job, pack my load and relocate to Abia-Umuahia. Few weejs into the job, I was fired because he didn't wake up on his right side. I thought it was me but it is him! Go on LinkedIn and see his former staff, none work more than 5 months.
Goodluck to you

Re: I Got A New Job Offer In Niger But I Need Some Help by HitRun(m): 3:32am On Dec 15, 2021
IF YOU MUST TAKE THE OFFER:

1. You shouldn't live in Suleja and work in Minna because that road is so bad and insecurity on northern 'highways' is on the rise. And because the road is bad, there are increased chances of attack from bandits, kidnappers or robbers (not common though). There is also the obnoxious petrol tankers plying between Lambata and Dikko junction as at the last time I was on that road (Dec 2019).

2. Minna town is relatively safe, however, be advised to avoid densely populated areas to avoid petty thieves, indiscriminate noise, and smelly environment (Minna dirty sha). In this vein, I would recommend F-Layout, and London street. If you must stay in Bosso area, Bosso Estate and Okada road (across the road away from the University).

3. Light is 5hrs in the morning, 5hrs in the evening (strangely, this timetable is fairly constant). Get yourself an inverter and battery, and you will be fine.

4. Internet strength in Minna is similar to what is obtainable in most state capitals across the country.

5. Minna has an airfield. I doubt if commercial flights go there.

Other than the boring part and electricity situation which is dependent on your budget and your area, everything else is almost perfect and cool. It is a sane environment to live in. The about 2 and half travel time to Abj airport is also very safe. The only challenge is Minna Suleja bad road.

Stay in Minna. Except you wanna be ghosting, it is absolutely insane to want to do a two hour journey (x2 for return) everyday for work. Besides, Minna is neater and finer. Console yourself with that.

Minna is very safe.

Power supply is trash. Forget what most people are telling you. I stay in Niger State.

If you rent a house in Suleja you will regret your life. Because the distance is long and Suleja is a disorganized and dirty place. I wouldn't advise anyone to live there.

You better rent a house in Minna if you don't want to get high bp.

Minna is very much safe, you have nothing to worry about honestly. If you are the flexing type, Brighter Suites, Honey Bell, Sycons Lounge, Pen House, Vagosh and their likes are there to satisfy your very needs. Minna lifestyle cheap pass anything wey you fit think of, don't let these people that have never been there fool you.

is it not bosso where they supply them light only from 9-2 or sometimes 3? Forget it; @ o.p make sure u have a very strong power bank because I am quite sure u'll be needing it except u intend staying in town I.e Mobil area. Minna is the only state I've seen that has bad / very epileptic power supply except for some few choice places despite having like 2 hydro dams
