If you call the embassy they will tell you to contact the courier, when you call the courier, they won’t be able to help you without your tracking number which even if you still have it, it wont be valid anymore since it’s more than 6 months.
When you are too in a hurry with hot blood, you can visit the embassy during working hours so that man at the gate can give you cold water to drink.
But in all, I got my documents back within 21 days after submission. My advice is just be patient. You can book your ticket when you have gotten your visa.
Your visa is usually 3months visa.

My wife did her interview in May, finished with lawyer in June, however, I changed school and city and submitted everything back to Embassy in October. The Ausländerbehörde Said they were done with their procedure October but we re yet to get hear anything from the embassy. Is anyone having this issue?
We have sent email and embassy is not even minding us anymore.
What other alternatives does one have ? Any solution? It’s been 2 years of waiting

Please how long does it take to get your passport and docs back from the embassy it’s past 7days mark already

Do you have any idea of how long it takes ?
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by arsenalthugangel(m): 4:26pm On Dec 15, 2021
Thanks for the clarity. I have been fully vaccinated! Woe unto people faking it making life more difficult than it already is.
nuel80:

Until now, Fully vaccinated passengers “DO NOT” need a PCR test to enter Germany.
As long as your vaccination documents are authentic, you don’t need a PCR test.
The border controls verify you certificate if it’s not issued in Europe. So please avoid faking it. That could lead to harsh punishment

If you finished your studies already or will soon finish in a few months while all these waste of time by the embassy is going. Once the verification is confirmed by the embassy in Nigeria. Hopefully they'll not send a rejection letter to you but they did for me because my spouse was going to finish studies in a few months. We appealed. And a time period was given to find a job or we would have to reapply for reunion again. But as God would have it, the requirement was met before the deadline. I pray yours will go smoothly without a hitch. All the best

I am fully vaccinated here in Germany
But when I came to take my daughter for her interview I had to take the pcr test + vaccine card, before Lufthansa allowed me board.

To be safe get the pcr.

We are in the same situation. The Aüslanderamt said they have processed my wife's application since November 22nd. We have not heard anything from the Consulate since then despite several emails to them. I am having a feeling that they don't want to issue reunion visas to spouses of students. Ours has been pending for over 2 years also.

Seem so intentional and unprofessional from their end. This is a sad situation I must admit.

For some reason i do not know why they seem not to be responding again. My appointment was like 6weeks ago and I have not heard any feedback. I applied for bluekard. So I do not think you are the only one going through this.

Except this changes came effect since Nigeria was declared a high risk area, but on my last trip in October, I boarded from Lagos without PCR test result, just my vaccination certificate was checked, I also did not get to fill out passenger locator form.
Travelers are always adviced to check with their airlines when booking

thank you very much, and also is vaccination a must or just the negative pcr test will be accepted, thank you very much for your reply, still waiting on them to send all my docs

I am also interested in this vacinnation Information because according to all online sources( RKI, Polizei, and Gesundheitsministerium) the new lasw from 9.11.21 says one must show one of the following: Negative Test, Vacinnation or Recovery Proof in order to be allowed entry. But at the german embassy, even on their website they say entry is allowed only with vacinnation. I even called Bundespolizei who do the border control and they confirmed the same. My wife did visa interview for Schengen today at german embassy lagos and she was given a form to sign that she cant enter without being fully vacinnated, which is actually not true. Has anyone entered germany this december with only negative pcr?

Nigeria is not on the virus mutation or high risk areas.

Maybe:

Anyways, flew back from PHC mid of Nov, I didn't need to fill travelers form while leaving ( it was only needed while coming in).

The pcr was among the documents Lufthansa requested from me for pre-boarding screening. I was surprised too.

To be on the safe side, vaccinated or not just get your PCR done. Clears all the doubt for you.

Hello everyone,

Please I need your advise. I accepted an offer to resume by April, 2022 in Germany. However, there's no appointment date till after one year. I'm super confused right now. Don't want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Has anyone experienced this? How did you resolve it?

Thank you

Please share what made the approval fast o. I am still waiting. And we did our interview same day. And same Bremen is our destination. I had thought I would celebrate Christmas with my spouse but I am so disappointed at the moment. Hoping on God to do me a miracle though.

Probably you should have spoken about your experience, than using words like "faking" in your previous post, at least you've also heard from another person who had the PCR experience. Just FYI, my colleague is fully vaccinated and was returned because of PCR result older than 48hours, I also have someone who works in Lufthansa and confirmed it as a policy as at August 2021, So, its up to you to decide, its possible the conditions may vary by airlines and boarding points.

Please kindly advice.

I strongly used the word FAKING, because a realized about 60 to 70 percent of Nigerians are anti-vac.
And yes, I flew Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Lagos and Lagos to Frankfurt in September/October without a request for PCR test, upon return a passenger was held because she had a fake certificate with her. Well I don’t know what happened with her after all.
But then you must realize that I am sorry don’t solve the problem when caught, that was what I heard her telling the police on that day.
Mind you, I work in a Krankenhaus and I have heard of people who are not Nigerians reporting to be fully vaccinated, upon check, you will discover they have no antibodies in them.
Hence I advice no faking, it’s safer to get the PCR test done.
