There's no need debating. As at today, the EPL is the best league in the world. And being best is not static. In the 90's it was the Italian league. Some few years back, it was the Spanish league. While the EPL has always been highly competitive, today it is the best and poor officiating in one or two games will not take that away.

Paul Onauchu likely to miss afcon next month. He suffer an hamstring injury in today game which could see him out for at least 3 to 4 weeks. Opportunity for Cyril Dessers and Taiwo Awoniyi to be recalled to the national team for next month afcon
Oh so painful for Onauchu

But of truth I am having the feeling Dessers will be our hit upfront come afcon if coach Austin call him up. Taiwo, Dennis and Dessers should make the list ahead of Nacho

With Bassey/Awaziem and Balogun at the CB role and Ndidi and Onyeka and we have Aribo play the AM and later come off for Iwobi we're covered

This may be Dessers, Dennis and Awoniyi's moments to shine and play themselves into the world cup team

Ademola Lookman seems like the AM solution we have been looking for.

Study the images below to see how Ademola Lookman (Green) compares with Iwobi (blue), Eberechi Eze (blue), and Aribo (blue) on Sofascore.

Yes bro....exactly
I see Coach Austin getting to afcon final only if he gets his selection right and instill discipline in the players.....

Algeria are beatable and same with Senegal... all Austin need to do..is to develop a play philosophy and field in the right players without sentiments or favouritism

How is his passing accuracy and can he create chances from the middle or link the midfield with attack

If this is our new coach, this Jose Peseiro, I'm actually not convinced or impressed. Too many clubs on a short spell doesn't speak well as a manager. It means many sackings. And im worried.

We need a German/Dutch/Brazilian coach that can make us utikize our attacking strenght.

here’s what I could find about him.

Peseiro has a degree in physical education from the same university in Lisbon where José Mourinho gained his. He started coaching in the lower leagues before taking charge of Nacional, steering them into the Portuguese top flight in 2002. He worked as Carlos Queiroz's assistant at Real Madrid in 2003/04, returning home after a season to lead Sporting CP

However, despite playing some eye-catching football, the Lions finished third in Peseiro's debut campaign and lost the UEFA Cup final on home turf to CSKA Moskva. Sacked in the autumn of 2005, the well-travelled Peseiro has since coached al-Hilal, Panathinaikos, Rapid Bucureşti, Saudi Arabia, Braga, al-Wahda and Egyptian heavyweights al-Ahly

Peseiro's only significant trophy as a coach is the 2012/13 League Cup he won during his sole season at Braga. One thing that has been levelled against Peseiro is that his sides have often fallen short at the crucial moments, Sporting having lost the leadership of the Liga in the same week as that UEFA Cup final defeat nearly 11 years ago, while Saudi Arabia failed to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup after conceding a 93rd-minute equaliser in a play-off against Bahrain.

So it’s only a Dutch German and Brazilian that can make a team utilize their attacking strength ?
