The guy misused his powers, really. He could only display that nonsense simply because he is a military guy. Sadly Nigeria do not fight dmfor the oppressed.

But you NEPA guys also misuse your own power and oppress powerless civilians by charging them for services not rendered. I'm sure the dude was pissed at you guys for bringing him bills "for providing darkness".

Most times I feel awfully sorry for people when they lament accumulated bills running into hundreds of thousands of naira when their accumulated provision of power from DISCO is not even up to one month in a whole year. Yet when these customers demand for prepaid meters that will bring about some level of sanity and transparency, you NEPA people frustrate these efforts just so to perpetuate your evil estimated billing regime.

Glad that I don't rely on useless DISCOS as I provide my own clean energy going to six years now. I'm thankful that I've not had any major reasons to have any deal with NEPA (beyond requesting for prepaid meter of course, which even though paid for has been elusive for 4 years now). Assuming you also bring such evil estimated billing to my domicile. I'd have toyed with the idea of breaking the legs of one of you with some slugs - not that I own a gun though, but I honestly can decide to get licence for one because of that sole reason. That is how deep the dislike for these DISCOs is.

Do you know meaning not oppression?

NEPA that didn't provide transformer, the community contribute to buy one.

They didn't erect pole and install the cables, it was provided by the community,

Individual buy meter with their money, but NEPA claim ownership

When there's repairs in any of the facilities, the community mobilised and pay for the repair.

They would bring fluntuating light that would end up damaging your gadget

They only bring light in the middle of the night when you don't need it but wont blink it during the day when it's useful.

Now tell me who is oppressor here

If truly that Major General ordered the beaten of those AEDC staff, then he should be made to face the book. The management of AEDC shouldn't take this lightly.

A petition should be sent immediately to the Chief of Army Staff informing him of the nonsense this Major General did, beating and humiliating people who were sent on official duty for nothing.

He who will carry the petition to the COAS office should also be beaten , mercilessly.
Nonsense and NEPA , whether in PHCN form or AEDC , they deserve to be dealt with dangerously and savagely .

You pay for prepaid meter for your house, AEDC will refuse to provide the meter, giving useless excuses all the time, only to be bringing inflated bills...Good beating for the i.d.iots. In fact, I'm training my dog on how to grab and yank off the blokos of any AEDC staff that comes near my house. Very ineffective organisation. angry

Somebody above said "the AEDC staff were on official duty".

I hope it was not the kind of official duty that empowers them to climb over my fence, to cut my electricity cables.

Which official duty allows you to jump over someone's fence like a thief.

I would say the general should have locked them up for 21 working days but he is indebted to them.
