akpunda86:It's okay to feel this way but you are not acting well on this . Women have feelings and have their own mind just like men. Yes you are the man of the house but sometime consider the fact that she's a human that got feelings and self-will. Biblically, a woman is part and parcel of her family irrespective of the fact that she's now married to you. ..."For this cause shall a MAN (not the woman)leave his father and mother". The woman does not leave . She's still a vital part of her family. She's got so much emotion and care to both her parents and your family. You don't compare her to her brothers who are also married. Think about yourself as a man and compare yourself to your female siblings. ..who visit parents more ? Female don't abandon their parents like men do. Men normally send money but money is not about everything. Parents need care . My elder sister(married with kids) takes care of my mum far more than I do. I normally send money likewise my elder brother (men do feel everything is about money ), my sister may not have money but she's always there. There will be a time your age parents may not need that money and can't eat much or think about good clothes but at that time, all they need is care. My neighbour lost his dad(87 years)two days ago. The man wept because he wasn't close to his dad at that age. He always sent money . He said, there were some discussions I felt I needed to pull of out of my dad , I didn't think he was going to die so soon.Your problem is that, you feel the children should primarily be taken care of by their mum but she has been doing that for years. She ain't doing it this time doesn't mean you have to nail her. Give her a break . And also learn how to. Who do you think should have taken care of her mum when she's sick...her brothers ? A million times no. If the children so much miss their mum it means you have made their mum a greater part of their life because you are not helping out in domestic work. Don't merely consider your wife as domestic house help. Treat her nice and spice up your love life no matter how busy you are . But if you are looking outside for another woman , you may never think of how to spice up your marriage. I am from a broken home but I have made up my mind that my own marriage must work . That's a choice Sir |

Druhill:My kids will always choose to stay with me which their mum doesn't find funny, they know it's opportunity to get snacks and other goodies which their mum won't like to spend money and play games. I don't know how this guy was raised and I hope after reading comments like yours he will readjust his life |

I think the issue between you and your wife is beyond her travelling this Christmas period. If communication is good between you and your wife, she supposed to have told you to provide money so she could stock up the house with food. Or you should have even planned for the money for the festive season, and given her since last week, that way she would have cooked and put in the freezer You said you have a house help, why can't you go to the market with the house help, buy the things you need, and cook? |

Bros, Bad wife, na bad wife, irrespective of area. As for leaving without spending time with her pikin on Xmas Day - that is wrong and unfair on them. She should have stayed or you all visit Grandma together - food is another matter - kitchen dey - learn ooo. |

KiNg0G:Lol using insults doesn't make you reasonable, it rather exposes the lacuna in your argument. Come again with reasonable statements, if insults is all that makes you a man, then enjoy your online manhood. |

I understand your plight. But missing for few days doesn't mean she's bad. Talking about not contributing financially, have you tried to get her acquainted to skills that will help her become self reliant. You should make her feel loved and talk to her gently concerning issues like this |

1x2x3:Why are some men always petty minded? You’d make your wife jealous because she went to go see her sick mother? |

Some men want slaves not a wife. Maybe she needed a break and wanted you to see what she goes through and for you to appreciate her more. I will advice the op to lock up his big ego and support his wife . Learn how to cook and take care of your children. |

Mariangeles:What's petty about having food in the refrigerator? Naturally she would be jealous whether it was stocked intentionally or not. Its a subtle sit-up call which is a better solution than fighting. You see how this thing I said pained you? That's how she will be pained then change her ways. It's a smart quick fix. |

Deadbeat like you make a mess of manhood. Not every dick is supposed to be a Daddy. It's a perfect time to bond with your kids if you have sense. She is going to take care of her sick mother cut her some slack. If you can't take care of your kids, donate them to a motherless baby home. This is one of the problems of this country, children of a dysfunctional family. |

You think marriage is all about having money without emotional intelligence. It means you have never cooked for your wife or done the little things for her. Times are changing. Even with you dropping money, you must show your wife your romantic side by doing the little things like cooking once in a while for her. That's how you balance your wife's emotional needs and make her dependent on you. For now all she gets from you is money, NOTHING ELSE. This kind of woman will divorce you if you were living outside the country. Be modern, stop being stuck in the 15th century. |

So disjointed that I am already concerned about your wife. How on earth is she able to cope with your daily rambling? |

1x2x3:But I still think the wife was insensitive in this case , she should have at least make sure that her home is in order before embarking on such journey at least stock the home with food and leave the rest for the husband but I guessed there is no proper communication and good planning habit between them. |

I seems there's an underlying issue both of u are having. Cos I think you both ought to hv sit and discuss this matter and find a workable solution which will favor both parties. But I guess she's getting choked already so she use that as an excuse to japa. U even said u don't enjoy her sexually. I think that is d major issue u having with her. U both lack communication in ur marriage which could lead to a huge problem in d nearest future |

MartinsD12:She's insensitive, I've said that before. There's no excuse unless it was emergency. Anything aside that was premeditated on her part. |

See the way you wrote about your kids as if they are a nuisance fathered by another man. You can't even take care of them. You think fatherhood is all about bringing money. Body go tell you in old age. |
