Thank you. I have seen this Ralph's post on it.

Dear friends on this thread,

Re: TV Licence Fees

I am writing this to you because of my firm believe that this thread is meant to promote the right thing. I am writing this because I believe that dodging TV Licence fees is illegal (at least within the ambit of the law as IG currently is).

My advice:
If you do not require the TV licence, it’s fine. All you need to do is:
Visit the licensing website:
https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/check-if-you-need-one/topics/cancellations-and-refunds-top7

In less than 2 minutes, fill the form.
They will send you an exemption.

Afterwards, you don’t have to be glancing over your shoulders and frigging, cowering in fear anytime there is a knock on the door.

Yours sincerely,
RalphJean
(who applied for, and got an exemption hence I do not watch, I do not pay and do not need to sound reminders to my children to shut the door to Law Enforcement Officers).

There's an option for the recipient to withdraw dollars not sure about Pounds. You can check. Yes world remit and western union are other options but do your research to compare the costs. Cheers

Preshyi:
Thanks
What if I want to send pounds. Is world remit or western Union an option?

Season’s greetings ladies and gents. Been awhile on here.

Stumbled upon this on Reddit. May benefit someone out there. Time is EST so might not be that convenient with GMT.

Cheers.

I presume you mean £13.89, not £31.89.
Tell your friend to go to the tv licensing website and check, because I think YouTube, as a streaming service, falls under the services for which a TV license is needed.

By the way, thank you for this advice.
Been with three for two months now paying £10 for unlimited data, text and calls
Also now registered in the electoral roll

Remember to check your free credit report to see if the credit agencies have a record of your electoral roll registration, and if not make sure that's updated. Baby steps, but needed.

Thanks baba but she pays £31.89. She showed me last night and I'm like this is not normal.

The YouTube video they watch are pre recorded no live programs at all.

Please if one comes to the UK with £2000 as living expenses pending when one gets a job to support, would it be ok. Is it enough for 2months?

What does ‘living expenses’ mean and what’s included? Rent, bills, etc., or only feeding and other minor spends? Also, where in the UK? Your question is too vague, you may need to be more specific to get the help you desire.

If you're single, and even taking regional variations into account, that should be ample to cover all your living costs including [single room, shared flat] rent, transport, food, bills, etc.
Woman, clubbing and intoxicants excluded.

You can raise a dispute with them if you spot any info on your credit report that's not accurate.
You should find that option on the website - usually as simple as sending an email indicating the inaccurate information and/or supplying them with the accurate version.

she's probably paying quarterly, she needs to contact the office to get exemptions if she's just watching netflix and other non-live streaming services

I had to change mine on MSE credit club and Credit karma. I believe you can update it on the Web app if you're using those two

The total POF including school fees was about 53k+pounds. The application was splited to two, main applicant 1st - 23K+ and later 5 dependents -30K+. Separate POF was used. Some of the documents used are account statements, school documents, marriage certificate, etc.

I will advise you check 1st page of UK students forum for full details.

Just to buy normal needed stuffs, 2 months student accommodation, and transport here and there.

No exorbitant/lavish spendings. Just daily needs and 2months student rent.

Location: Sunderland

You should be fine with that budget in Sunderland. Rents are relatively cheaper up north compared to the south. £1k budget pcm should be more than enough, and the £2k could even last 3 months. However, sustaining yourself after the funds run out in 2 or 3 months is another story.

The UK and rush rush do not go hand in hand. It might take 1 week or 3 months to get a flat. Pray for the best but calm down so you won’t be disappointed.

I dont know wher all this story of illegalities come.

youtube
netflix
prime video
crunchyroll are enough for me

I sometime dablle into TPB using NORD VPN
