What a sorry sight....2021 is a year filled with lots of bitterness in the retail sector.

First, it was Ebeano Supermarket, now its Next Cash "n" Carry.

I remembered how Next Management reacted when Ebeano went up in flames, unbeknownst to them that sooner or later the odeal would come to them.

My heartfelt condolences to all those who are directly or indirectly connected to the business. I can imagine how many livelihood that have been diatorted, how many jobs that been lost, the money, the goods, creditors.

Proper Investigation should also be conducted, to ensure stuff like this dont happen again. We cant continue this way. We cry that here in Nigeria, we dont have enough Enterprise with global competitive standared. Why lose the littl we have?

I dont know the root cause of all this mess, but adequate care should be taken.

Its been a very long time that this store had been on their hit list.

Peter Obi should know that this investment was targeted to either go up in flames or be demolished by FCTA under the guise of distortion of Abuja master plan.

At least now they achieved its destruction without any lawsuit

I refuse to believe this is an act of God.

Man’s wickedness against his fellow man.

Again, why was there no fixed fire fighting system like Spinkler system installed in the building? That would have reduced the damage.

Shame unto who ever is involved directly or indirectly in this barbaric act.

They are not into similar core area, Hmedix is drugs and provision store while next cash and carry is much more than that.

But why do u people always look for somebody else to blame for accidents that might have been internally orchestrated to cover up fraud.

Why didn't Fire Service get there on time.. this country is gone if we can't get emergency response right.

What if it was a nuclear plant disaster? that is how people will just die like chickens.

Which way Nigeria..

Think this is payback for Peter Obi's role Arise TV last week where he exposed APC as a party with no brainers.

This is not a good one at all. Even if the owner has insurance covering, I pity the staff working here, they will be out of job at this trying time. To build back this mall would take at least one year.
For where?
Abuja wey them dey set up mall under 2 months

Re: Aftermath Of Next Cash And Carry Supermarket Fire (Photos, Video) by kachistone: 9:57pm On Dec 26, 2021
I know a fire truck is always parked close to the gate of the mall. So w hat happened today? I have also seen fire hydrants around the mall too.

My question is were all these things cosmetic?

Naija and unwarranted emotions, some here are forming imbecilic opinion that the fire outbreak is political.....imagine

Also some are praying for God to help the promoters ...when in actual facts insurance will do the needful... How on earth will someone put money into such huge venture and not insure same...also note that 95percent of goods in that store are stocked by the manufacturers and NEXT c&c didn't pay a dime to have them in it's store...so , business is beyond iya Sade counter shop...make una all go hurstle
