Anita was telling me how she would not, and never marry a broke guy. This wasn't the first time i will be hearing such from her; as it has always been her anthem and life mantra.

But, what left me gobsmacked was her declaration that, even, if her husband was once rich, but along the line--lost his source(s) of income, she would either dumped him or cheat on him with a rich dude. I was perplexed.

"I want the best for my kids and myself", was her reply when i query why she would utter such derogatory and despicable statement. I was left dumbfounded.

Then, i let my thoughts wander, and came up with this: if a woman can want the best for herself and kids (which is not bad), why can't men also want the best for themselves and kids by making sure to walk down the aisle with a virgin bride?
Women have standards, why can't men have?

Anita will be getting married to a governor's son next year, while Kunle has decided to privatise a public enterprise -- he will be wifing up a street hoe with abortions scar in the next few weeks.

I think Kunle is a real man for not even putting his future kids, and his wife past into considering.

He told me privately that if his to-be-wife had committed 20 abortions in the past, her past belongs to the past. Beside, who doesn't have a past?, he concluded.
I grinned, and then proceeded to reply, "i would be the last person to tell you not to get married to the love of your life, Kunle. If the marriage fail, you would learn to be a philosopher, if it doesn't, you would become a great dad. Either ways; it is a win-win situation for you, bro."
What a nice guy.

So, Anita just sent me her invite on whatsApp, which is coming up in two (2) months time.
