Good day everyone. Sincerely, I don't think I will be able to survive this new year without a job, as things keep getting tougher. It's been 5 years now since I finished my youth service, but clearly without a stable job. I have been struggling to survive, with a wife and kid. Pls take things easy Biko. Asides the thieves and looters who disguise as politicians/ leaders, No one is exempted from the cruelty and hardship of this country.
Ur wife and son need u more than ever..just keep pushing ok.

Atleast she can feed you and pay house rent comfortably.

You were obviously born with a silver spoon. Do you know what the child is being denied at his age? How sure are you that the child is not already malnourished? Op is a heartless man who should have died alone than bring an innocent kid out to suffer. He's to be blamed 100%.

I'm just like any normal struggling guy out there but in life we all make mistakes and learning from them is what makes us who we are.

I was jobless for 2 years until I decided to stand up to be a man. I left my comfort zone and went out to the street…. Boss of you reside in Lagos they are jobs you can manage for a start until you get some cash and plan yourself. You see people leaving their house early in the morning going to work and u think most of them are doing big stuff ? Many of no dey earn pass 30k per month…… here in Lagos I can easily get some job as long as u are seriously, determine and hard working. Jobs like boss driver, dispatch driver with salary of 40k absolve. Jobs like security with 30k per month…. With this you can start from somewhere….. but as you done get wife and piking for house na their wahala go dey o.

I was even born in Lagos, but when I say I need a job you should know what I mean. Not every job is a job Sir. I need a job with which I can be able to take care of my family, not just putting food on my table. My Son's schooling and my rent.

This time you should look unto God and pray for open doors, almost everyone in this country may have been in your shoes and others will still be in your shoe later, that's life. You just have to be patient, dont be surprise tomorrow people maybe depending on you.

At this point in time that things are like this I'll advice that you put your child in a public school, at least let him start somewhere, as things change you may change him to private school, in this life dont look at what people will say otherwise you'll be stagnant.

Also based on the house rent issue, I dont knw the cost of your house rent, but you should choose an affordable apartment and manage or even negotiate with your landlord hopefully he'll give some months grace or he'll decide you pay partly. Also your wife should also get something doing if she's not doing anything to help you in any way she can, this days the two parties put hands together to make the family successful.

I'm quite aware that depression is real. If some of us begin to tell our stories too, you'd be shocked. One thing I detest as a man is to seek for sympathy. Being a graduate doesn't mean you must sit in an office wearing tie. Please get your hands dirty legitimately and don't bother bringing another innocent child into this world without planning. As for me, I've told my wife that I must get a car first quarter of next year and also complete the masters programme I started before talking about a second baby.
