Let me say that you have no power whatsoever to forgive anybody for a wrong doing unless the person did something wrong to you personally and HONESTLY apologized to you. If the person DISHONESTY apologized, he/she isn't yet forgiven even if you think you've forgiven them. When you say you've forgiven someone, what you actually mean is that you wish them well without grudge.

It's an individual that forgives himself/herself of wrongdoing by simply realizing what a mistake it is and stop doing so again...... even be against people who do such.

Even if you so called forgive someone of wrongdoing but if that person continues doing what you claim to have forgiven them for, your forgiving them is useless.

Only you can forgive yourself, whether or not someone you did wrong has forgiven you. This is the proper context for forgiveness.

Don't mind them. They sit far away in SE and NC speaking authoritatively on what they have no deep knowledge of about Edo State. Oshiomhole only picked Obaseki because he sincerely, but mistakenly, adjudged him a worthy successor who would be loyal to him and at the same time have the passion to continue with his works, not knowing that the likes of Oba and others who counseled him to perish the thought of having Obaseki succeed him knew exactly what they were saying.

So going by your definition of godfatherism in that image you uploaded, how exactly did Oshiomhole try to exert authority on Obaseki? Care citing specific instances?
Oshiomhole only tried to settle the rift between Obaseki and Samson Osagie led party members who were complaining of Obaseki's exclusive approach to governance. Oshiomhole advised him to be more accommodating and inclusive and that was all he deliberately distorted to Oshiomhole trying to play godfather over him.
Is the PDP which helped him sing the godfatherism song not complaining too of that same exclusive approach to governance today as seen in trading of words over harmonization by which Obaseki has only been appointing those who came with him from APC and nothing, I mean NOTHING for the old PDP which saved him from embarrassment?
