This explains why MTN has been sending me sms to change my phone since last month. cry

BlackBerry, one of the most popular phone brands of the era before smartphones took over, has just made a new announcement. The company is finally ending its official support for all of its classic smartphone models.

The Canadian phone brand made the announcement earlier this week (Via 9To5Mac). So now, all of the company’s classic smartphones that run BlackBerry OS or BB10 OS will no longer be supported. Furthermore, the brand has even warned its customers that they will no longer receive any patches to ensure that the carrier or WiFi connection remains functional. In other words, BlackBerry smartphone users might lose calling, cellular data, SMS, and emergency service call functionality.

Although, the same does not apply to the company’s smartphone models that run the Android operating system right now, with official support for these models ending on 4th January 2022. For those unaware, the company was one of the largest brands in the market before the entry of iPhones and before Android smartphones took over the world.

Initially, veteran brands like Nokia and BlackBerry didn’t believe that a full touchscreen phone would ever have a great impact on the market. But as we can see now, devices with physical keyboards have more or less been phased out completely. So with the end of the official support for BB smartphones, we can say that this marks an end of an era. Notably, we advise that users of BB devices back up all of their data as well, and also possibly prepare to shift to another brand soon.

Nothing last forever. Dat year dis phone made a lot of girls loose their dignity, virginity, some even lost der relationship all in the name of hoeing for blackberry. Some join cult in school, robbery gang so they can afford to buy this phone. A guy I know used his school fee to buy one to impress girls, he was deny entry to exam hall then he later drop out cos of that mistake.
But alas see where it all ended. Hopefully Iphone crew wont one day end this way. Ask sagem, motorola and nokia

Everything on earth has it's time and lifespan.
Who would have thought back in 2006,07,08,09 that a time like this would come for the Blackberry company.

Sad indeed.

To imagine the level of crime many people committed just to have a BBM and "ping". Nothing last forever, it won't surprise me if Apple products become obsolete some years from now with a new and more advanced technology taking its place. The human mind and brain will keep growing and achieving higher knowledge for greater things. Don't kill yourself for anything, a newer and more advanced technology will always come up, all the stress isn't worth it at the end.

I have like 5 I'd recommend but I won't, on grounds that you don't that both scenario (blackberry demise and crypto prediction) are not the same thing.

Most top analysts had predicted that by now Bitcoin would hit $100,000 price point. At the time, they weren't wrong but look where we are now.
Blackberry on the other hand were making mistake after even after so many before them had fallen. they refused to listen and doubled down on their stubbornness until it was too late. That is something that's easy to predict.

The market on the other hand is controlled by demand and supply forces with a sprinkle of whales movement. that ensures unpredictability.
Not even WB would give you predictions with 100% certainty

This is to you as an individual. You should be teachable and receptive to new information that follows the tide. That way, you won't become irrelevant like BlackBerry.
