10 Dead As Navy Storms Kidnappers’ Den, Arrests Five In Anambra by NwaNimo1(op): 3:27pm On Dec 31, 2021

The Special Force Squad of the Nigerian Navy Base, Onitsha, has stormed the Ochan forest,the Anambra State base of kidnappers, arrested five suspected kidnappers, and killed over 10 while others escaped with bullet wounds.

Parading the suspects at its base in Onitsha on Friday, the leader of the naval team, Suleiman Agabi, said the command, based on intelligence gathering, stormed the kidnappers hideouts at about 1:20 am on Friday.

Agabi confirmed that the suspected kidnappers were the masterminds behind the abduction of the traditional ruler of Ogwaniocha community in Anambra State, Igwe Oliver Nnaji, who was kidnapped on November 15, 2021.

The suspects are making confessional statements in connection to the abduction of the monarch

Country where nobody knows his job. Malami will be doing the president's job. DSS will b doing the jobs of vigilantes and kidnappers.. Navy will leave the sea and be doing the job of the army. Such confusion and Incompetence can only be seen in a banana republic. Shame.

How come that culprits in the south are easily apprehended while those of the north seems to be invisible.

Nabbing kidnappers is very noble,but there has been a lot of lies from the military to make one doubt many of the arrests and killings it claims to have carried out.
Also if 10 of the kidnappers were killed as stated in the release,there is every likelihood,innocent people or even kidnap victims were amongst the killed.
What finally makes one to doubt the story more is that nowhere was it mentioned any of the navy personnel were fatally wounded or injured @least.
Much as callous as it may sound,if 10 criminals were killed in a raid,there must have been some exchange of gunfire that precluded their arrests,so the other side must suffer some injuries in the least.
If there was no such death or injury on the Navy's part,it can only mean they massacred those 10 victims.

Navy has abandoned our waters to start going into the forests and killing 10 people without Police and Army. Nothing we no go hear for South East.
When did Navy become responsible for extracting confessions from suspects?

Is the governor aware of this operation as instructed by southern governors or its still business as usual?
