(Maybe someone should fill me in)....it seems there was an empowerment of a million wheelbarrows and tricycles in Awka. I am still worried seeing how young kids of about 10,11 years old are now pushing wheelbarrows all over Awka especially the ekeawka axis...this is mad!
Heading to Nibo today to see grandma and decided to get some drinks around Ekeawka axis...couldn't even find a space,na so so wheelbarrow full everywhere...the number of tricycles plying the axis too seems more than the dwellers of Awka. Cheii!

ndi investors need to rapidly start investing to reduce all these. Good that Raddopin,Everyday supermarkets etc have all established to provide employment to the teeming youth, which will drastically reduce these challenges. Also talking about the good sides, at least some children hawking items on the streets wont be looking forward to owning wheelbarrows...rather they'd looking forward to being gainfully employed in these big malls either as cashiers, security, attendants, janitors etc.

Honestly,The growing number of wheelbarrow pushers and Keke riders in the capital is quite alarming.

The more Peter Obi avoids investing in Anambra, the more he loses credibility in everything he does.

The first is that he ruled the state and claimed he did well to place it on a sound economic footing. Then campaigned for others to invest. So why isn't he investing? If he fails to invest in the state, he will eventually be looked upon as a man who is about all talk but no substance.

I personally believe that if he had built the same size of mall in Anambra, Enugu, Aba, Asaba, Abakaliki or Owerri, as the Abuja and PH Next malls, he would have gone very far like Everyday Supermarket or Roban by now. Not to mention that the response time of the state fire service would have been a lot sooner. That is if there would be any arson at all against his property in the southeast.

Whatever were Peter Obi's reasons for avoiding any investment in the southeast region is no longer valid. He should show good examples of Aku luo uno as a mega political leader in the zone.

Sure

Generally, i feel the aku luo uno initiative would have been a hit this year and the later part of 2020,,seeing that most of our pple were now looking towards home due to the insecurity in most parts of the Country especially the North. But the violent element of a group decided to reign terror in our region thereby squashing hopes and plans of prospective investors who are mainly sons and daughters of the soil.

This has been my grouse with that group (IPOB).

For every action, critical reasoning must be applied or else...!

Leave Obi. The world is a global village and Nigeria is one of em.

What about you? What have you established in your home state?

Advice is good when given to others but not workable to the person dishing out the advice.

A government creates the kind of environment that attracts a type of business. Some of the markets in Anambra are primitive archaic construction with narrow roads that trailers struggle through, no parking for cars and buses and alleys shoppers struggle through. Such congestion attracts primitive transport namely wheelbarrows and tricycles. In 2022.

For modern shopping it requires modernising the markets. Markets must have parking, toilets, water, proper waste disposal and be properly roofed. They shouldn't grow uncontrollably to a point where they are a mess like Eke Awka, Ochanja and Afor Igwe. These markets should be relocated to new properly planned places and drastically reduced in size per location.

Ngige relocated many markets out of the narrow streets of Onitsha to purpose built places. Soludo should do the same for Eke Awka and Ochanja.

Mktinsight take back your useless worthless post. No one asked for your advice. Anambra markets are the most modern and most viable in the region and have the best roads, best facilities, etc. So take back your useless post because it is not needed here.

All these arm-chair critics that know how America and Singapore developed, but cannot develop a hamlet. Typical Nigerians!

That is why my best friend in school always sang Victor Uwaifo's Joromi for these types of people that always raise their hands quickly to answer all the teacher's questions to prove they are the most intelligent in the class, but will always give beautiful nonsense as answers each time. Which exposes their ignorance of the topic. People that know why every airline succeeded or did not succeed, but cannot run one Keke napep profitably grin TYPICAL NIGERIAN E-RAT!!! grin grin grin

For those who do not understand the meaning of "Joromi" response to these types of people that confidently type beautiful nonsense. The Joromi song is about a man who confidently narrates a pipe dream / impossible tale that only makes sense to the dreamer, who cannot differentiate dreams from reality. What the English call "Stranger than Fiction." Yet, they confidently speak or write their narrative as though they have some special real knowledge or real facts on the topic. grin

Very very heartwarming to see Igbo celebrities key into important development initiatives in Igboland.

I hope more Nigerian celebrities especially those of Igbo descent will secure locations for their new choice mansions at the AMC. In the same way they rushed land in banana island just because Davido, Whiz kid and Olamide were supporting the development of banana island then.

They should also reach out to Davido, Olamide and other less tribalistic Nigerian celebrities to come and be part of it.

Although they are unlikely to invest because people are not sure about what will happen to their property if Nigeria breaks. But they may truly invest the way i see the detribalised celebrities.

Some private citizens understand Nigeria more than others and definitely much more than our so-called Igbo politicians. When Kwankwanso opened up his Kwankwansiya estate project, Igbos flocked to the area to buy up all the houses and build houses on empty plots like crazy! You'd wonder why they snubbed similar estates in their own region! The Enugu Centenary and Golf city was there at the same period, but they snubbed it for Kwankwasiyya city! Ask yourself how many northern generals and top federal civil servants in Enugu even built a boy's quarters anywhere in the city after more than 20 years living there! But Igbos decided it was a good idea to dominate a housing estate being developed by Kano state government for its people. However, when Kano state government and administrators in that estate start pulling down or confiscating their buildings after a few years as 'illegal' structures or under other pretenses, they will cry to you to help them avoid the predicament they faced because they are Igbos!

I came across a 2012 Facebook post of many Ndigbo who regretted that Gov. Peter Obi refused to build a badly needed airport in Anambra which would be a solidly visible legacy of his 8 years administration. Instead, he chose to build in Mall in Abuja of all places. Which they predicted will be burnt down at some point by Almajiris! I was so shocked when I read the comment.

Mind you, this post was made when Peter Obi was the Governor of Anambra state! Sometimes the voice of the majority is the voice of God! I know Peter Obi will understand better bye and bye.

If there is a way I would even cancel the screenshot join.

What is all these sef? Oginidi? There was fire in someone's establishment, you never asked the source of fire or how it happened but here you are showing nonsense screenshot.

Who told you almajiri's was responsible for the fire outbreak? The airport is it not same airport Obiano has built now?

Must everyone buy property in Enugu or is it that even obi as a person don't have estate in his state. As far as Nigeria is concerned he has right to establish anywhere.

You that is talking this trash, how many plots did you buy in the said Enugu? Mba you didn't buy any but were busy depositing the money for IPOB and phantom Biafra....

Now someone did something out of his own initiative , years later there was fire outbreak and boom it became prophecy come true.

Useless prophecy. Nobody has even assessed extent of damage in the mall but here you are with you Ipob rhetorics.

How many investment has your Nnamdi Kanu and all his foreign hustlers brought home?

How many factories?
How many estatates?

But they will always arrogate to themselves the monopoly of wisdom how others should do their thing when even their one Kobo have never add meaning even to their various communities.

Well they brought all forms of crimes today as factories and industries.

Enugu is a civil servant state..money is not in circulation in Enugu compared to commercial states like kano . How many will afford to rent an over inflated duplex.... Use ur sense sometimes.... Why is everyone waiting for awka millennium city....

Enugu is a poor state with the highest poor residents in the southern Nigeria(check stats). Most of those estates you mentioned are local estates and has remained empty because enugu is poor and its economy cannot support such estate however local it is. Anambra is the real estate headquarters of igboland, even hinterlands are not left out

You are totally correct. Enugu is a poor state, its residents are poor, so upscale estates cannot thrive there, no real estate investor will waste his resources in such state. Even the civil servants in enugu are poorly paid
