For some of us who didn't watch the clip:

The woman did not steal food.

She put the dishes she was served in plastic bags for whatever reason.

From my perception, it seems as though the woman has hungry kids at home who will run to receive mummy at the door when she returns. They'd know she went to an event where food would be shared and would apparently expect something edible from mummy. If mother birds do not fail to bring back grains to their nests for their hungry babies, it shouldn't be much of a show if a human mother defeats shame with her children at the back of her mind.

The only people who are ethically wrong are those who covered the act on camera and showed the video to the whole world for entertainment.

This is one of the many problems of Nigeria — Greediness.

People are unknowingly becoming heartless and stupid in this country, how would sane person capture this to show to the world? mama did it for children at home.

She probably was wondering how she was gonna eat all that at a party and maybe his kids at home haven't had much to eat!

Moreover, from what I can tell, she is only taking the portion she was served at the party.
While I was a kid, my mother would bring back such for us at home from party outing.

Really? Not necessarily. When we were young, that's our bribe for staying home. Not that the same food was not available, but owambe food was just.... different.
Like the way children will leave all foods in the house and demand for garri instead.
