Most lgbos grew up in Catholic and Anglican church where there is no compulsion to give or donate. So it becomes strange to find someone persuading u to give in Pentecostal.
Imagine someone telling you that he knows ur monthly salary and therefore the tithe u re paying is way below 10%.
No one can tell u this bullshit in Catholic and Anglican church
This didn't age well. They do it in Catholic church now. A man went to a church for Thanksgiving after a house warming and donated 500k to the church. Omo priest stand for pulpit ask what is 500k. That the man is better than that.
Imagine the audacity and entitlement.

Igbo this Igbo that......How many have your Yoruba congregations donated? Or they are only good in being regional pastors (like winners and Redeem) so as to be ripping off unsuspecting Igbos.

Don't really blame you, as your company needs to be making profit.

An average Igbo was never born into Pentecostal Mr Coza pastor. That they are patronizing your franschise is not a criteria to bill them off spiritually.

I find it even hard to donate to any pentecostal church because they raped whatever is remaining of Christianity in Nigeria.

Sorry Osu, dont cry leave Fatoyinbo for God

I don't understand the trash this man is writing here...

What's a Shepherd's business with the donations of souls to the church coffers?!! Is that supposed to be a Divine mandate or priority?!!

Hmmm! Igbos - The most talked about tribe in Nigeria. Anyway, If nobody talks about you, then you are a nobody. But then, the Igbos are so blessed and unstoppable.

I think they have the Catholic and the Anglican Communion Churches to give to. They hardly give to all these Pentecostal churches.

Igbos built the catholic and the Anglican churches in their communities. Greater percentage of them have contributed significantly to the building and expansion of catholic churches in Lagos. They do not do Pentecostalism. That is the reason why you do not find them contributing to that Pentecostalism and then, their believe system that Pentecostal churches are run by ordinary men with business motives..

In Nigeria:

Hausa-Fulanis are 80% Muslim, 17% Christians, 3% other religions and Atheists

Yorubas are 50% Muslims, 40% Christians, 7% Ifa worshippers, 3% Atheists

Igbos are 97% Christians, 1% Judaism, 1% traditional worshippers, 0.8% Atheists, 0.2% Muslims and other religions.

In Nigeria also, Igbos are the only tribe found in all States of Nigeria, followed by Hausa-Fulanis.

Now tell me which tribe is holding the Christianity in Nigeria if not Igbos?

That's why anytime Northern Muslims start their religious violence, their major targets are Igbos who they believe are the main Christians in Nigeria. Facts don't lie, so Mr Fatoyinbo go and rest grin

Igbos will rather help that boy in thier community to come up than give it to one pastor, thier parenting is all about 1 Thessalonians 5:21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, - they are taught that no head is greater than another head - they are taught not to cower before any man but only before God - they are taught to give rice, donate to widows and teach their fellow man the ropes - to clothe and spoil thier women.

It is hard to brain wash an Igbo person becos na them go brainwash you.

My advice to the rapist is to go deeper into the Yoruba, Cross river, Akwa ibom member's pockets - these ones are parented to respect authority and be taken advantage of - they are taught not to question authority but just follow orders - he can also get more members from the Lord's choosen .... those one are easy targets too.

Igbos only go to churches that truly give back to the community e.g Catholic church with thier hospitals, schools etc. An average Igbo person too dey use thier No 6 - bad customers for new age churches

I am not Igbo I am not Catholic - I am Yoruba so just but such is my observation.
Peace be unto you!

Go and tell whoever sent you to stoke Yoruba vs Igbo bad blood that they will fail. The highest rate of intertribal marriage in Nigeria is between Yoruba and Igbos. All this hate is in the mind of whoever is paying your lot to generate animosity. In 2022, I pray that organisation is exposed and destroyed.

Biodun talked pure rubbish. Oba talked rubbish. Yet you ignore the likes of Akinleye who married an Igbo wife. Get out of here with your tunnel vision hate. We reject your ilk with hate in their hearts.
[/s]
Playing the tribal card by supporting evil. Because I called out your people who are known Igbo haters that means I harbour hate on Yorubas too? I don't have such time because Igbos are the only people that treat everyone equally in Nigeria irrespective of who you are. This is not the first time a Yoruba is expressing unfounded hate and acrimony against Igbos. U mentioned about those that married Igbo ladies? Do you know Igbo men in Ibadan, Akure and Lagos that married Yoruba ladies against all odds? The thing is that you only view issues from a single story line without criss-crossing your perspective. There has never been a time an Igbo spoke ill against Yorubas. Go and verify and come back. I hate hypocrites.

This pastor shouldn’t have spoken like this about other people tribe. Seems he is under the influence of something before saying something like this.

Most pastors are like scams these days and expecting people to donate to churches is like scamming them of their money. It doesn’t matter whether na Yoruba, Igbo, or Edo.

Wait, no be the Crest pastor be this? Abajo.

The church will keep marching upward and forward

The kingdom of hell shall not prevail

By their fruit, you shall know them
....
-- how many people has he led to Christ

--- how is his passion for the spread of the gospel

--- does this man knows that the bible teaches that when we give to God but avoid publicising

Children of God, don't dull yourselves

Very very wrong, instead of him to preach the undiluted word of God, hear the tribalistic message a supposed man of God is dishing out. They are the reason Christianity has become an object of mockery of late

There is everything wrong with a clergyman focusing so much on monetary donations... it's even worse that he went as far as making it tribal!

How useless is this fake man of God ?
Are igbos not Nigerians? So why sounding like singing igbo in ur church is a favour to igbos.

Besides nobody gives more than igbos in the country, they are the only tribes that helps u without thinking abt ur tribe.
Unlike ur tribe yoruba who only can attend a church based on tribalism, only wen owned by yoruba or pastored by yoruba.

I hope igbos are wise enuff to read ur blackmail to extort them.. onye oshi
Your first paragraph is very correct, the last is good advice, however the second one is far from the truth and sentimental

The pastor may not be far from the truth because me as an Igbo man hate manipulation in the name of God.

If you like use all the psychology you like, I will give to God what has been laid in my heart not what the pastor wants me to give. If a pastor expects too much it's not my fault, he is free to expect while am also free to give what I want to give, that's not stingy, that's value for money.

Well captured but Yoruba Christian Population is not up to 40%. The stats and records are there. Osun alone is a Muslim dominated State. Followed by Ogun and Oyo. It's only in Lagos, Ondo and partly Ekiti you will see sizable number of Christians but we are aware that Ekiti has the least population in SW and Nigeria and the number of Christians there might be ⅛ of total Yoruba Muslims in Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Oyo. I have been to SW and I knew how amazed I was seeing mosques in every nooks and cranny of the region. Yoruba Christians are 25% of the total Yoruboid speaking tribe.
