Yoruba Muslim why didn't tinubu pick a southernern to compete against gej so south tenure can be completed

You Yoruba muslim started all this, a Northern hasn't ruled in pdp yet as long as it's concerned
I am more Christian than you will ever be till your dying day.

As at 2015, Obj had done 8 years and Gej had done 4 years.

That was already 12 years of a Southern Christian.

So the North were already agrieved.

They felt that Gej took the North's tenure.

So everything you spewed up there is nonsense.

Huge nonsense!

FYI I want a Christian President come 2023, preferably from the South East.

Yoruba men were on the ballot for the two parties because they both won the primaries so Igbos had no choice.
You voted OBJ then because you knew he wasn't Yorubas preferred candidate. You would have gladly voted a Cameroonian on the ballot against a Yoruba if the two candidates weren't Yoruba. Remember 1979 grin

Then play the same game, there will be two Igbos on both major tickets, vote the one that is not Igbo's preferred candidate. Are you no longer the 'sophisticated' yoruba? grin

They are also begging to be a V.P to a Fulani president to give up southern Presidency. cheesy

Same way you guys beg to be VP to a Fulani man named Buhari. Two can play that game. You guys think you are smart by betraying southerners. We will also do the same for Vp slot. Atiku and Peter Obi it is, bring your Tinubu and we will meet on election day.

Lol it's the sophistication of the Yorubas that made them achieve that. They have major stake in both parties then and didn't see anyone as "evil, Hausa, or Igbo" party. That is sophistication we are talking about. Make the SE do am if e easy. cheesy
What we see the Igbos doing now is blaming Yorubas and Tinubu for all their misfortunes, expecting APC to drop presidency on their laps and whining that they prefer a northern candidate to a Yoruba man when both parties have not even conducted primaries lol...

Una no sabi politics sha. Just driven by negative emotions. grin

Yorubas never betrayed the South. That is what greedy Igbos have consistently do to the south since the 60 but always backfired on them. Nigeria political history did not start in 2015. grin

@second bolded, if the majority want it like that, then goodluck to you guys and Atiku. You've always been Fulani bitc.hes though. cheesy

If power does not shift to the South in 2023 after 8 years of the North, the PDP should be blamed entirely.

The body language of APC shows that they are very open to rotating power to the South after 8 years of Northern rule.

But the PDP are putting "grabbing power at all costs" over fairness and equity.

To them it is more important for them to win the election than for power to rotate in Nigeria.
Even if a candidate from Cameroon will make them win the election they will go for it.

But wasn't this what the APC served in 2015? The South was in power and the APC southern bloc in a frenzied desire to "grab power at all costs" sold the south to the north for a few ministerial posts. Revenge they say is best served ice cold.

I want a Southern president o, and will go against my principle to vote for the Jaga if he's the only southerner on the ballot. But if power remains in the North its not because of PDP. Its what southern APC folks started. And th y should be held entirely responsible

If Southern Governors are not micro-zoning to either SS or SE, let North remain with power.

But don't forget that the North were already feeling aggrieved in 2015 and rightly so..
Obasanjo had done 8 years and Gej had done 4 years.

They felt the South took Yaradua's tenure.

That it why there was no much outcry in 2015 when APC presented a northern candidate because we knew in our hearts that since the inception of the present dispensation The Christian South had done 13 years (Obj 8 and Gej 5) while the Muslim North had done only 3 years (Yaradua).

So let's be sincere; as at 2015 we Southerners knew that Gej was serving the North's tenure.

So for me, government is a continuum. When the north where busy changing from Shagari to Buhari to Babangida to Abacha to Abubakar in the space of 20years did the south die? Yes it was military regime without choice but it still was a whopping 20years of being governed by 5 northerners. South had just barely passed half of that time frame and the north was screaming?

Like I said, I am all pro-southern president; but if the north (through PDP) are able to outfox us and grab it, it will be be following a precedent already laid down by the APC. It's going to be painful to swallow, but it looks like we will be having 16 straight years of northern rule

This is exactly what the Fulani north wants. You see the Feudal North worst nightmare is when southerners unite and vote a presidential candidate, with the support of Christian North Central states, NO HAUSA MAN will ever rule this country. The last time this happened was in 2011, we all saw the North's schizophrenic reaction; boko haram; bomb blast e.t.c.
This is exactly the reason they're always hell bent on dividing southerners. They divide us and keep ruling us.

I don't know why u always see religion as a tool in ur foolishness.
It is the same religious fanaticism that pushed u to carry arms and start killing ur brothers all because a Northern Muslim is a President!

With Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, Niger as Muslims majority from 6 North-Central states how do u expect a Southern Christian to unite and win Presidency if South-West who are Muslims majority will play the same card?

Is it not hypocritical to insult, abuse and hate Islam or Muslims and expect an alliance with SW when they're in reality majority Muslims?
Ponder well!

I think some Muslims groups have sensed ur sinister and have been ahead of ur it and started thinking of fielding Tinubu with Muslim-Muslim card come 2023 and the permutation may yield winning.

Only fools think there is divide and rule tactics in Nigerian politics when in reality it is voting pattern that win elections. Election can't be won in a single region or zone but votes has to be at least 25% from at least 19 states across the 6 geopolitical zones not region or 3 zones from one region!

Many people in the North who are Muslims have dumped the idea of playing religion in politics but ur fanaticism and excessive bigotry may likely set everything back!

In summary of your position;

You are pro Southern President only if that Southern President is of PDP.
But if that Southern President is from APC, then you prefer even a Northern PDP President.

Anything PDP presents would be better for you than APC.

Your summary is incorrect. I previously said I will (grudgingly) vote for THE JAGA if he is the only southerner on the ballot. If PDP presents a Southern Candidate then I will have to review that position. If APC present the incumbent VP, I won't be in a dilemma as my personal contact with him as Pastor of Redeemed Christian Church Of God (Jesus Centre) and as HOD of Law Department in Unilag in 1998 left me with a very positive lasting impression of him. If PDP present a Northern candidate against THE JAG of all trades and the PDP candidate wins, I will grudgingly accept. If they present a Northern candidate against the current VP and win, I will vociferously dispute.

Jaga is a very excellent strategist, but I think he should back down for a younger southerner (preferably from outside the SW although I'm not so hard-line on this)

What will be totally unacceptable for me is APC fielding GEJ. After all the diatribe and denigration? GEJ will be the most stupid person on earth (and confirm his status as the APC-styled "ineffectual buffoon"wink if he as much as gets in to the APC primaries and attempts to shorten "our" (southern) ration of 8 straight years in the presidency
