We have the players that can deliver. All they need to do is play fast football against every team except the North Africans. The best way to play the North is to choke the midfield, stop their sleaky play, frustrate them to start commuting fouls, and then take them on the counter.

When it comes to clinical finishing, Kelechi is one of the best in the history of Nigeria football.. trust me, I have following Nigeria football for a Very long time.. if you look at his stats Minutes/goals, it is very favorable. Also, if you watch how easy and calm he is, in front of goal and how easy he convert such, you will understand… The issue with kelechi, is utmost professionalism, Seriousness and focus. Once he fully sort out those, he is World class.. I just rewatched all his goals from last season

I am glad Eguavon insists that every player has a clean slate. If true then there would be keen competition, which would bring out the best of each player.

During the 2013 Afcon, some people predicted a CIV v Ghana final. Others predicted Zambia (the 2012 champions) and Burkina Faso to win the trophy. It seems some people are not learning from the events of 2013 going by their predictions.

It depends on this current strikers performances. But, if Dennis and osimehn continue scoring in Seria A and Epl, they will walk into our 11.. wow, SE is really going to a tournament without their 2 best forward on current form

With the way things are going, we might have a situation where strikers are doing very well and the balance shifts to AFCON performance. If Sadiq or Dessers score five goals at AFCON due you think they'll be dropped simply because Onuachu or Moffi hits 20 goals before World Cup provided they had a good run of form even with less goals than the latters?

Dennis was outstanding in Belgium league with more than 80 appearances with 20 or more goals though he later fell out with his club due to his attitudes and that bad attitudes continue with him in Germany,really surprised seeing him turning good for Watford.

Dem dey make assumptions based on Big name players. Some people said Morocco was sure for the semis last AFCON, na "I like to move it, move it" people still bundle those ones comot.


AFCON is literally anybody's game. Your team may be filled with brilliant players, but the lines may not fall in place the day you need them to.

See CIV with Haller, Zaha, Aurier, Pepe and co, you would think semi finals sure for them, only for you to hear that Zimbabwe or Guinea kicked them out.

Once again, AFCON is not won by quality of players, it is won by sheer luck and how good players are on that day.

Every football game has an element of luck and fortitude. The team that prepares properly creates team cohesion and through working as a team can beat better teams with sheer hard work and determination.

Nonetheless, cream always rises to the top.

Last AFCON Algeria and Senegal were the best teams and Senegal was unlucky.

If anything we were lucky to get as far as we did.

On paper we are underdogs, there are at least 5 teams better than us on paper. Teams that win usually have a world class top player, that gives them an edge.

The rest are goal scorers for their club sides we haven't seen what they can offer the super eagles..if more or less.
