Nigerian Couple Goes Viral After Wedding On Ishiagu Attire Inside Church (Photos) | #IgbereTV

A Nigerian couple, Ekigbo Sampson Nnamdi and wife, Victoria Nnamdi have gone viral after they wedded on popular Igbo attire, Ishiagu, inside church in Ebonyi State.

The wedding which took place on 31st December, 2021 was well attended by top dignitaries in the State.

During the wedding, Prof. Benard Odoh, former Secretary to the State Government in Ebonyi State charged the couple to remain faithful to each other and to equally put God first in their family.

It is church wedding, you can wear anything acceptable to you and the church for it. White wedding as a term is also cultural to Western countries.

So know that what you are having in the churches is church wedding or Christian wedding. Since most churches especially the major ones like Catholic believe in acculturation, the rites can be performed on your traditional attire. So there's no cultural appropriation happening there.

I fully support this . We are first of all africans, before any other thing........And come to think of,what's the basis of calling it traditional wedding and the same time putties on suits,ties and white farmers,if not for mere hypocrisy and foolishness..

As a typical urhobo man that I'm, I'll proudly step into the church with my hat on,my walking stick,and my urhobo attires . That is if I'll ever consider doing any church wedding self . Because e clear to me say na only traditional marriage I go for end
