Lol.

Moghalu has to do more.

It is not enough to come up with seeming smart and catchy blueprints every four years.

Besides, Buhari has performed creditably if really you have been moving around the country: in Agriculture, Economy, Infrastructure etc, even Security. This may be difficult for people who aren't widely knowledgeable about governance in Nigeria, and indeed people with pockets of biases here and there, to appreciate.

Connecting Nigeria's two largest cities, Lagos and Ibadan via quality rail infrastructure is no mean achievement. The Lagos-Ibadan Highway is the busiest in the country, and accounts for a significant portion of the nation's manhour losses, translating into several billions in local currency daily.

The Ibadan-Kano segment of the Lagos-Ibadan rail project is billed for completion this year.

We all know about the progress of Second Niger and Bonny-Bodo Bridge projects and their significance.

There is also the bridge linking Nigeria and Cameroun, which has been completed, as well as the Warri-Itakpe Railway which was abandoned for over three decades, that is now in operation.

In Agriculture, Nigeria's rice production has hit over 6million MT in a year, and we can now see visible proofs of economic diversification in substantially increased collections from FIRS, Customs, Immigration, JAMB etc, following decline and fluctuations in global oil revenues.

On security, even though more work needs to be put in continually, we have seen tens of thousands of former IDPs resettled in their communities in the North East, especially in Borno state. Go to Borno state and see for yourself. The people genuinely appreciate what the president has done.

The major road connecting Borno state and Cameroun, which was closed down, for almost a decade, in the heat of the insurgency under former President Jonathan has been reopened for economic activities.

I think that leaders at the subnationals levels are the challenge, and of course, the populace.

Why would any right thinking person always want to blame the President for the slightest setback he / she faces, without any recourse to his LG Chairman, State / NASS Representative or Governor?

Isn't it ridiculous?

Many Nigerians are not fed up with suffering that's why someone will see a candidate like Moghalu and ask him to go and contest in his Senatorial zone or state. On one hand you people are crying and suffering under the gross incompetence of Buhari and his team
whose only solution to anything is going back to the farms and shouting Anti-kwaraption and on the other hand discouraging and abusing candidates with the requisite exposure, knowledge, competence of how a 21st century economy and an ethnically diverse nation should be managed. Instead of you people to rally round and say enough is enough same youths will collect 5k, Indomie and Tin tomatos and vote in another relic that will even out perform Buhari in incompetence and come back to whine and cry how their future have been mortgaged. We saw how the youths in Zambia rallied round Hichelema and made him the President despite the rigging antics of the former president.

They are only being practical.
Sentiments won't win elections.
As long as the South is combined with the North, no party apart from APC and PDP has a chance.
The Northerners are the bigger factor. They decide the election.
That's why we must break up for real development to happen.

It isn't about the tribe, it's about our collective freedom, our collective EMANCIPATION.

Moghalu is not ready yet.

What impactful, positive initiatives does he drive all across Nigeria, when it is not yet electioneering season?

Being president isn't child's play or rhetorics.

Jonathan went there and saw for himself.....he was totally lost, leaving his ministers and aides to reap off the nation.

It is not about not being part of the existing establishment or bereaucracy.

He is not a clown and is better than many SE current politicians wasting people’s time. Why can’t the South east support moghalu who is 100 times better than Ayim or whoever??

No they will only support their co failures or partners in crime.

Moghalu has a hard job he has to convince critical mass people online b4 he can convince more of them offline. Town hall meetings, schools, market places are good bt it’s just stress cos most of these people are also online or have friends and family online.

If u can’t win the online masses how can u win the offline masses who are harder to reach in their different bases. Some of them already have the parties they vote for Bt if they hear u buzz with a bang online they will be easier to convince offline when u approach them.

The discussions start online for a candidate without a large party structure.
You have correctly diagnosed the problem. Moghalu says all the right things, but in Nigeria that means nothing without the name recognition and party machinery to mobilise the millions of impoverished, poorly educated people who constitute the vast majority of voters. Your average subsistence farmer, roadside hawker and mechanic neither use Twitter nor follow the twists and turns of Nigeria's economic policy-making, and they won't even be aware of Moghalu's existence, so how will they ever vote for him? How does any amount of intellectual brilliance or vitality matter in such circumstances?

What the PDP and APC have are nationwide political machines that reach down to the smallest villages and the most crowded slums, complete with ward bosses and enforcers to turn out the vote on election day by both fair means and foul. As far as I can see, Moghalu has done nothing to replicate this kind of nation-wide organizing, so his chances in 2023 are already as good as dead. Nobody is going to simply dash him tons of free media coverage because they like his platform, so how exactly is he going to get his message out to the impoverished masses, let alone persuade them to sacrifice a day out of their unrelenting struggle for survival to cast a vote for him?

He may be making money from it. Probably from donation. The first presidential election he campaigned in we sat on the same 3 row seat on the flight from abuja to lagos. He suddenly asked me if am aware he is contesting for President I thought he was joking so I asked him when he is stepping down. He got angry because of my question , his pa a lady seated in out middle then brought out his campaign poster. He told me categorically he will be the next president.

More and more. The more, the merrier. The more Igbo candidates we have the wider our choices.

The next Presidency is for Igbos. But, they must present their candidates and mobilize for them nation wide. Yorubas, Hausas, Fukanis, Kanuris, Ijaws have all done it and plunged Nigeria into more difficulties, let Igbos too try their luck. Who knows, an Igbo man may just be our Messiah.

However, nobody will zone the Presidency to Igbos, they must fight for it. The unwritten zoning is between North and South and not between the fraudulent 6 regions. That is why North-East or North-Central cannot say that it is their turn. Even during past elections, Buhari, Ojukwu, Abubakar Rimi and others contested against Obasanjo. The Presidency was not zoned to Obasanjo's village nah.

Igbos must present formidable candidates. Power is never given on a platter of gold. Power is fought for and won or snatched. Igbos must be ready to contest against the Yoruba candidates lead by our top joint strikers the Jagaban Borgu and Star Boy Osinbanjo, if they don’t prepare and mobilize for their candidates, we Yorubas will snatch the Presidency from them and they will cry blood.

But, for the sake of peace and inclusiveness, I think Igbos should have it. They have developed Malaysia, Indonesia, India, UK, US, Israel even Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, e.t.c. let us give them the opportunity to develop Nigeria. Afterall we did not know that the current lifeless terrorist hiding inside the Rock has nothing in his brain until we gave him the chance, let give Igbos too a chance.

The same old, unproductive line of thought, I would say.

Recycling or not, I can tell you that it is the same situation all over the world. Go to the US, you will certainly find the highest number of long-serving public officers.

It is the same in China, Russia, UK, Australia etc.

You guys just like needless, irrational and unrealizable lines of thought. How possible is it to get everyone currently in leadership in Nigeria or anywhere else out, and have them replaced? How sensible is that?

Tell me about those outside of the current leadership that are, even near 25%, in terms of effectiveness and productivity to the nation, in their chosen sector? Name one person.

Oga, I have an advanced foreign certification in Leadership Management. Leadership is about everyone and everything, hence you will NEVER find leadership that meets the needs of all.

President Macron was slapped in public by a fellow compatriot. There will always be reservations from certain quarters and individuals, but what matters, essentially, is delivering the common good to the greater number of people.

Was former President Jonathan not a part of a new bloc? What were his landmark achievements and legacies. Name them.

All these generalized criticisms make no sense at all. How well have the Nigerian citizens performed in carrying out their civic responsibilities to the nation? People still dispose of refuse and defecate indiscriminately across Nigeria, even around public facilities. Less than three weeks ago, I personally walked along the trail of the Lagos-Ibadan Railway, somewhere around Ikeja, you need to see poo all over the place. Was it the Governor or his Commissioners or Minister Chibuike Amaechi, that went there to poo?

What we tag as national leadership failure is actually much more complicated than we think. These are failures of family and community systems as well as the degradation of societal and religious institutions.

The fallouts are banditry, prostitution, drug abuse, armed robbery, violence, cultism, insurgency, kidnapping etc.

Would you say that it is everyone who does not have a job that is a bandit, fraudster or kidnapper? We cannot keep justifying crime and the killing of fellow citizens with unemployment. It is the height of senselessness.

Parents and custodians of our value institutions, especially religious and community leaders, must wake up to their responsibilities and stop the unhelpful blame games.

U really really broke it futher down to the real situation and challenges b4 any party or candidate without structure like Apc or Pdp.

They have to know all these challenges and device ways and solutions to overcome them.

Funny thing is did u know b4 2015 what we ha was a a party state most runned or dominated by Pdp for 16 years? It looked unbreakable until Acn and cpc and some little parties came together irrespective of differences to form Apc and compete at federal level with Pdp.

Same thing any 3rd Force must do. Form a coalition flagging a worthy candidate and influential people both with it ideology or not reason being in Nigeria u might need to convert the dog to a horse just to get the job done or it may not be done at all.

I think it’s possible just like how Apc came to federal might bt u have to create this Force the right way and with alot of politically experienced and knowledgeable hands on deck cos there are no big parties to merge with anymore so the work is enormous bt doable with the right strategy.

Exactly. If Moghalu is serious about running for the presidency, this is what he needs to do - bring together a coalition of already existing smaller parties that will provide him with the grassroots penetration to match the APC and PDP. Alternatively, he needs to find factions within these two big parties that he can convince to break away en-masse and join up with him. These are the only alternatives to building a nationwide party from the grassroots, which would require too much effort and money to do in time for 2023.
