You have to get the screen replaced. If the problem persist, then it’s either the signal cable that connects the screen to the motherboard is bad, or the motherboard no longer supply backlight voltage to the screen and this might be as a result of blown up backlight fuse.

Its fixable. I do fix them. I just need to find the missing voltage and replace it

My HP laptop screen doesn't come up again. Though the hard drive still spins when powered on and the extractor fan works perfectly. The laptop was well shut-down before being carried in a laptop bag to another location before the screen stopped coming up again. Any suggestions?

Try remove your battery and put it back. If it does not solve the problem. Power the system check the caps lock light, if it’s blinking by it self. then check your ram . If its not blinking, press the caps lock and see if the caps lock light respond to your touch. If it does, then your screen is probably bad.

I am suspecting the RAM. Will check all the above and get back to you. Though the laptop battery is bad now cos i abandoned it for a long while.

Did you format the system?. If yes, you have have to install vga or display drivers

Yes it will. The pes13 will play better. But you should get a system with higher processor if you are a gamer

My Dell latitude e6230 flashes capslock light 3times if I try to power it on. But if I let it discharge by removing the battery and leaving it for a few days, immediately I plug in the charger, it comes on without me having to press the power button. While it comes on luckily, I can restart/reboot, but immediately I turn it off, I'll have to do as stated above and wait for days. I took it to a repair man, he said the computer's BIOS needs reprogramming, but he doesn't have the device to use in the programming. I took it to another repairman that claims he can reprogram the BIOS to check it, but he couldn't fix it after leaving it with him for days(he even claimed to program the BIOS too). And I am not based in Lagos. My problem is, I spent all my hard earned money to get the computer as a student, and I love it. Please should I be worried it could be the motherboard?

You can use ethernet cable, then go to device manager to browse for the drivers.
