Kindly assist with a strong wording to describe my husband job. He is into sales of Aluminum for building roof construction in Lagos and Enugu. If I am ask what does my husband do. Please help me construct it well o, cos I can see the way some people make their presentation and I love it.

Pls note that both of us has been denied twice in 2015 & 2016, first was convention, 2nd was Vacation on our 10th year Anniversary. However we have 2children which we didn't take with us to the embassy, and then my job pay was not robust then, was going with my husband as he was the main applicant, no travel history on both of us then.

Since after then I got a better job by his grace, and was able to go on vacation to Ghana twice, Dubai, UK, back from UK, renewal of UK Visa currently with a valid UK Visa. I plan vacation alone this year from my place of work, in my DS160 on the section of why denied I stated , denied based under section 214b. So peradventure am ask why was I denied twice and what has changed ? What do you consider appropriate as a response.

Why is your husband and children not going on vacation with you?

Note I live in Lagos,but my appointment was in Abuja.fast forward to D day.. I was really worried,as I have heard so many stories and this was my first attempt at the us embassy,though I have visited Paris and Spain and Cape Town in the past.

Got in by 7:20
After the screening at about 8,I was inside and I could hear others being interviewed,I came for this visa interview with my sister,who was also applying…after few mins,I was called to cubicle 11.

In my previous application have always filled I have no relative over there which is true. And that was what I filled currently.

Now I got to hear that my father's daughter not the same mother with me is in US with her husband. We don't have communication with each other.

It's not your fault you aren't aware of a sibling anywhere.
And if you do state it, at the interview tell the VO you have a step sibling, but you have absolutely no contact with.
Call the relationship as a "Step Brother or Sister" Dont say 'fathers daughter from a different mother"

I have a US visa (B1/B2) that expired May 2020 and I lapsed on renewing it because of pandemic wahala. I'm starting a fresh application to visit family this year ending (by God's grace) and a friend of mine told me that there's a new directive from the US government extending the period for granting interview waivers to up to 24 months after expiry. I saw some articles from late last year that mention that, however when I checked the USTravelDocs site for Nigeria it was still showing 12 months.

Please does anybody have any information about this?

If you are scheduled for a non-immigrant visa interview on a day between January 18 and January 25 at the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos, Nigeria, you may be eligible for an interview waiver if you meet all the following criteria:

· You are a resident of Nigeria.
· You were not refused on your last U.S. visa application.
· You have never been arrested or convicted of a crime and you have never been deported from or denied entry to the United States.

AND

· You are renewing a B1/B2 visa.
· Your previous visa was issued in Nigeria.
· Your previous visa was the same visa category as the visa you are applying for now.
· You have a valid visa or one that expired in the past 48 months and can submit that visa with your application.
· Your previous visa was not lost, stolen, cancelled, or revoked.

If you meet ALL the above criteria AND are scheduled for a non-immigrant visa interview between the 18th and 25th of January at the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, please follow these instructions.
