I don't get the connection here, EVs are powered by multiple batteries which I think is being recharged with electricity , I don't get how minerals come Into play here , do EVs run on minerals now ? Or are minerals used in production of EVs?

Nigeria is finished, any of you wishing Atiku, Orji Uzor, Tinubu or their likes takes over this stewardship again will suffer for 900 years.

Let's tell this bastards enough is enough, I saw a video trending online, bags of beans branded with tinubus image, the same beans that's pricy, these people see us as hungry lots and we show it from the way we talk and act.

What do we get in Nigeria, people voting people because of religious, ethnic, or expectational reasons, and it's funny because that's what it's going to happen again, and again.
These guys have studied us, their media teams are reporting to them, they're everywhere online, so be careaful how you assimilate what you read on the Nigerian webspace

There's this particular set of youth in Nigeria I strongly believe in, when the time is right these same youths will take over the nation with blood

You are partly right. But the minerals in questions are special resources like lithium that are used in making storage components/batteries for EV and other dependent technologies. Luckily we have lithium deposits in several states of the federation (both north and south, so ethnic exploitation should not be a problem ifz should we result to harnessing them), but unfortunately I don't think relevant authorities even care about providing data to fully harness these things- like amount, potential valuation cus I tried I couldn't find any sort of helpful info , everybody just want oil oil oil and the fast riches that come with it . . . When the transition from Fossil fuelbto renewable energy accelerates and the global dependency on fuel starts decreasing then our eyes go clear !!!

In my humble opinion, we don't have proper capitalists in Nigeria, I mean smart people that bring innovation and create trends. All we have are pot bellied lobbyists like dangote that feed off government favoritism !

So u mean that since 2015 that your "darling daddy" and APC took over from Jonathan/PDP, we still haven't gotten to the nation of our dreams? What has buhari & osinbajo been doing all this while?

Probably referring to Lithium ore deposits in Central Nigeria.

It has uses in RE and EV battery cells.

Surprising no one on this thread has an idea but here's your answer.

But Nigeria has crude oil that can guarantee self sufficiency in petrol/diesel/kerosene and electricity. Where we on that?

Nigerians are refining, but we're calling them 'illegal refineries'. Imagine

Isn't it illegal? Since the refining is not govt. owned and as such, difficult for govt to steal their earnings.

Bunch of thieves. They pack our national cake in their pockets, give crumbs to their dumb supporters who are ready to fight to death on their behalf.

We don’t have the power to have steady electricity which nothing special in even small African countries lol.

We all thought this administration will do something in the aspect especially when Fashola was appointed as minister of power not knowing he’s actually minister of darkness

One the our politicians don’t have in Nigeria is shame

Not all of us.
Some of us warned about the lack of capacity in governance in an unstructured system bound to fail.
And here we are once again calling for the restructuring of this country if it hopes to move forward.... while I'm certain folks like you are set for another round of name dropping... presidential 'beauty contests' and serial ethnic profiling.... all useless to a hope of progress.

He probably meant the iron and other stuff that will be used to manufacture the cars but electric cars are pointless due to the lack of infrastructure

It must be deliberate delusion for anyone to think that Nigeria will "slow and steady" become the nation of "our dreams".
This is not about PDP or APC, Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu, Osinbanjo or Peter Obi, but every objective discerning mind can see that there is hardly any future to project in 15-20 years ahead. The elites and political/ruling class are well aware of this. Wake up and read the writing on the wall!

So, if we somehow exploit those our "minerals of the future" and miraculously build electric vehicles, am wondering how those cars will be charged considering that Nigeria has not made much progress in providing power to its citizenry
