If this trend continues football would be so sanitized and it would become a no contact sports. Any small thing, prrrrrr referee don blow.

I watched a video where Ola Aina spoke about his infringement that led to the penalty awarded against us. He said he understands that it's an infringement but he does not understand how that should be a penalty because the ball was far from both of them.

Come to think of it, truly the ball was far far from both of them. That should have been a free kick in the box not a penalty

That Ayew red card is another bad referee decision aided by VAR... He went for the ball. The VAR should have shown the Ref the whole clip from the the time the Comoros keeper spilled the ball. That was a yellow though ayew went for the ball.

Ola Aina's own wasn't a penalty. Wrong decision by the ref and VAR..The ball wasn't anywhere close to the incident.

Cause winning a bunch of friendlies against minnows is meaningless. Continental comps far outweigh friendlies so this drop makes sense.

Do you know who won the last Afcon? If losing a match in Afcon equals loss of 28 points how much do you think winning Afcon should attract?

Meanwhile, Gabon is winning Morocco 1-0

If results stay as so, Gabon tops the group and Morocco comes 2nd. Ghana finishes last.

There will be no best 3rd place from this group.

So, we move to either Group E or F

I think Rohr is a Nigerian too for starting Shehu when almighty Aina and Ebuehi was always invited.

There is a Misconception that Rohr selected the team on a Me, Myself and l basis. No , not at all there was all kinds of input from all kinds of stakeholders.

Essentially, the only way we meet Malawi, is if Guinea-Bissau finishes in 3rd by way of winning us

By virtue of this, we will not be playing Malawi, because Guinea-Bissau must collect
it seems group c and d are not going to produce a best loser so we are facing a team from group f

And we having foreign born players dates back to the 70s. Ghanaians like also played for the Nigerian national team like Anas Ahmed who chose playing for Nigeria over ruling on his traditional stool, Sani Mohammed, Yakubu Mohammed and others. Check this link:

There are also rumours that has it that Rasheed Yekini's dad is actually ghanaian? Alot of Nigerians from Ogbomosho and ilorin traders had earlier settled and even married Ghanaians. Till Ghana had the Nigeria must go first incident, which yekini's mum who is Nigerian brought him back to Nigeria

Don't mind him. There's nothing bad if he uses the national team to advance his career. He's a Nigerian and he's entitled to use the resources or platform of the country to advance his career. After all as our players careers advance, so does their playing improve our NT it's a mutually beneficial relationship.
This komekn na wa

Add to the fact that Osimhen made history at the u-17 world cup and was going through a rough phase of injuries..

Ghana is not a footballing nation. They can't even get a win against a lowly ranked team, even when they desperately needs a win.

The ball does not need to near you for you to get a red card. He pulled and stamped on a player for no reason. Silly foul to commit

The ranking is not fair abeg

You will tell me if they won the last afcon by winning against minnows ,maybe the super eagles and Senegal team are also minnows

Algeria still deserves to be number 1 in Africa abeg

Walai it doesn’t make sense

Just because they lost to Equatorial Guinea they dropped with so many points

Algeria still deserved to be number 1 in Africa

Funny enough they haven't even been ranked number 1 in Africa at all from the time they won in 2019 till now.

So what you are saying is that Rohr decision to select players was based on influence from the NFF and other stakeholders and not his own.. While our local coaches selected their own players based on their own decisions entirely?

Nawao . I didn't expect this kind of thing from you o..
With all your knowledge of football, you are telling me that you don't know how the ranking works?

You and Subzero are trying to imply that FIFA just dash teams ranking anyhow...
Do u even remember how low Algeria were ranked before they won AFCON?
This ranking isn't magic o...it's mathematics...

grin grin. Yes ooo. Even at the UCL. Remember Referee Tom Ovrebo ?

I heard UEFA admitted that referee Deniz Aytekin played a major role in Barca’s 6-1 win over PSG cox several of his decisions aided Barca in overturning a 4-0 deficit from the first leg of the tie.. cheesy

Exactly.. Whatever point they gathered from winning the AFCON wasn't enough to rank them first in Africa because the teams ranked ahead of them at that time also gathered enough points to keep the gap reasonable...

Referee killing Ghana with a red card. I hope Ejuke can see how counter-attack should be done The aim of a counter-attack is a goal not dribbling

Just watching the Ayew red. I can see why he was sent off. Even though he got to the ball first the follow through could have seriously injured the goalkeeper.

No way is that a red. As a striker when a keeper spills the ball you go for it.

Ayew has very right to try to slot the ball past the keeper and the way he tries to do that is not in any way dangerous.
