Hmmm, with all this covid issues about Tunisia flying about,

how sure are we that it's not a ploy to hide their game plan against us tomorrow,

how sure are we that they hadn't hiding something from sighthuh

Time will tell, BTWi think it's 28 players that a team had each, so that's leave 14 for them if the covid news is true

Games from the 60s and 70s. We haven't played Ghana in 10 years since their 2010 world cup squad. So much has changed since then.

The first leg may not even be played in Ghana. None of their stadium has VAR facility. Likely first leg will be at a neutral venue then return leg in Abuja.

We'll be in Qatar come March
Dey can quickly fix DT na...it doesn't take a fortune to fix var facility
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:13pm On Jan 22, 2022
I do not want us to qualify that way.
Even if they can't fix it, let's play in two neutral venues. And we will beat them in both games.

Except it by Force Majeure that I have any fear of losing out this WC spot to Ghana.

I have really fresh memories of 2008 and I seek revenge.

This is just a distraction. We should be thinking and focusing on the next game against Tunisia tomorrow.

The match against Ghana is still far away and there’s enough time to plan and talk about it.

I don’t know why CAF will bring such distraction during the course of a tournament like this.

Our players should concentrate and focus fully on the next game and don’t allow the World Cup playoffs distract them because winning this AFCON is our main goal for now.

Any news from the camp?

To me, the Covic palaba is another distraction.

We should practice and plan as if we want to play against the best team in this tournament.

Our players must forget about their best not playing. After all, our second best beat Guinea.

History is written by prevailing circumstances.
So put your mind where it matters. There was no history of Comoros vs Ghana. But in one day history was made because of prevailing circumstance. Prevailing circumstances write history. not the other way round.
How can you then predict that a circumstances might occur or not?

Nigeria will win this year AFCON and the next and the next. I still can't forgive Abacha for making us miss the 96 and 98 nations cup.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:26pm On Jan 22, 2022
it's not a prediction. Like I have said as long as Eguavoen and the players continue with this same spirit, Qatar here we come!
It is an objective condition hinged on on the present.

I agree this should have been done after the AFCON. I hope our players remain focused and are not distracted especially by the news from Tunisia's camp.

Nobody is scared.

It is called not being too confident. Many of you here are too overly confident. And thats not good. I am a very confident person and I preach it to others to be confident. But the way I see it here is dangerous. It means under-estimating and underrating your opponents.

Doing this will make your opponents take you unawares where you least expected. Go and ask Anthony Joshua vs the fat kid who beat him mercilessly.

Always respect your opponents and STRATEGIZE your victory. Not to be overly confident.

If we STRATEGIZE well, and not depend on depth of our team alone like you're all saying here, we'll win. But if we ignore strategy and just say we have a good team, we are better, we are in form. Guess what? They will STRATEGIZE and take us unawares.

Nobody is scared. It is simply acknowledging your opponents strenght from history. And he who faiks to learn from histry, will repest the same mistake his fore fathers made.

Cheers.
You're talking as if it's the people on this thread that will do the playing.. lol...

Chill . The players know what's at stake...They know more than anybody how important qualifying for the world cup is...

The news from Tunisia's camp should not be a distraction. I expect Tunisia to put in the biggest fight with a depleted squad. This game will be very mental for them. We must maintain our mental strength and approach this game like the final. One final at a time, and the cup will be in Abuja.

Oga I make my opinions based on what I see on the pitch. That has always been my approach.

The same Rohr I praised was the same Rohr I called out early. I judge by performance only

Exactly! They should not take the news from the Tunisia’s camp seriously.

As long as they are coming with 11 players, we should play them with all our might as if this is the finals.

Super Eagles should avoid early goals from them oooo because knowing they don’t have a bench, they need to score early and seat back and defend. Hopping to score us on counter when we become desperate.

We need to score early goals and then control the midfield.

I promise you they are more arrogant than us.. Our players should not get involved in this.. We will do our speaking on BOTH pitches.

Tunisia and Mali are forming a Nigeria-Argentina relationship. Mauritania too.

All drawn together in 2019 AFCON.

All drawn together in 2021 AFCON.

All drawn together in 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

Anyone has access to Eguavoen. Tell him 2 things:

1. Keep believing in his ability and that of the players.
2. Take each game as the final
