Chinese love their holidays so much and don't usually joke with it, cos it's a time to get off hardwork. However I have had seller ship my items and even responded to my messages during their holidays. So I usually don't fret or under pressure if I place order within that period, except I need the item urgently and it is a must that it be shipped at once. In most cases, I haven't experienced shipping delays during their holidays.

Oh yeah. Never in too much of a hurry to get items I buy here.

Well, I'm used to the delays in international shipping grin

You can order for goods worth more than $100 in two ways. Either get an Access bank card which can do $300/month or open a domiciliary account and fund with dollars.

Prices displayed in AliExpress is not what you will pay. That price is always lower than bank rate. It's best to use ₦480/$ exchange rate (if you are using a naira denominated debit card). Or whatever rate you sourced your dollar for (for domiciliary account holders).

Please advice.

Stop using AliExpress conversion to make orders. Get the order price in dollars and times it by your bank's exchange rate.

Your Bank did nothing wrong.

Your bank, UBA àbí, probably did something wrong. Refunds are made based on the prevailing exchange rate and unless the rate reduced between when you made the purchase and the refund, then there is no reason why your refund should be less than you paid; at worst, it should be at the same rate.

So it's either your initial calculation of the amount paid was incorrect or your bank charged you much more than the prevailing exchange rate with other banks at that time, and now that they refund you, they've probably downward-reviewed their rate or they are doing it at a rate that is at par with other banks.

Forget all these that rate of buying is less than rate of selling, I don't know that to apply to AE transactions. My own experience has always been that I get higher amount with refund than I paid because as per 9ja, whatever goes up (exchange rate) does not come down.

Hey guys. Good morning,
Ordered wireless headphones from anker on Dec 28. I received a notification from the AE app that there was a problem with my shipment and they need more info. Clicked on the notification and was just lead to the tracking page. Anyway I went to check the tracking on postal ninja, and I saw delivery unsuccessful. The post office is close to my house just outside my estate and I recall they usually text me when I have a package. Should I go and ask if they received the package or wait for them to text.
NB I sent nipost an email which they haven't replied to

So, I think my items have arrived from aliexpress but I'm still very very confused. I got a message this morning from AFRIKASTKNG saying 'Your waybill NO.NG1035....... Delivers today....' Now, the thing is, I ordered two items which was sent via aliexpress standard shipping and was later upgraded to combined delivery. These items have thesame tracking number. First, how will I know which item they are talking about?

Secondly, I checked my tracking details and the last update for the two items is 'arrived at delivery sorting center' yet it doesn't seem to have arrived in Port Harcourt which is my destination. What to do?

I honestly don't know how to post a picture on nairaland. Would've done so. This is my first time of shopping from aliexpress.

My own case is different. I WANT NIPOST. Before this pandemic, items arrive my local post office in Ibadan 10 - 20 days after shipment. Now, from the very first day I heard of Speedaf, it has been a nightmare. They finally did their worst with my shipment which was in transit during the Christmas season. The witch RETURNED my items out of spite after I told them on phone I was not presently in Ibadan. I changed my mailing address to the same post office I've been using long before now, which is less than 500m meters from their Speedaf office at UI area, so I wouldn't have to deal with Speedaf. They REFUSED to send my items there, after doing it once, and preferred to send it 9,000km back to China because "did not talk to her well".
I was trying to weigh my course of action but when I got to nairaland here and read up, I realised they are a bigger company than those AWFUL Ibadan workers and that I could file a complaint to authorities further up. I would like someone to please help me understand what to do about it, rather than seeking redress from a more expensive police/judiciary standpoint.

Combined delivery means the two or more packages have been put into one bigger package and is now being delivered as one. So you'll be getting the two items at the same time.

Track with speedaf.com/ng-en to the see the up to date movement od your package

The last update was January 24, yesterday. You may wait for them to call you in about 2 to 3 days. Otherwise you may go there and show them the tracking info.

Just got back from the PO (like I said it's a stone throw away). Anyways my package isn't there. The PO staff gave me a website to track it with, and apparently “the item was wrongly directed and is being redirected.” She said she'll call when dey get it. So I guess you're right. I'll give it some days.

Side note. Think I understand what's happening. Which is rather unprofessional of nipost. I'm guessing from the airport they send packages to one center. When it gets there dey update the tracking number as a failed delivery instead of simply updating it as en route to destination or something. So the customer should not be seeing delivery unsuccessful and paraing

Update: NIPOST customer service has replied. My package was actually sent to another post office. I was told to go and pick up. Called the post office (found their phone number on Google maps) and they said it has been forwarded to the branch close to me, that I should get it today after they process it.

Download the app and sign up.

Search and find the product you want and add it to cart.

Go to your cart, select the product, chose your desired variant if applicable and desired shipping method (I advise AliExpress standard shipping but if you know what you're doing you can chose anyone you prefer) and checkout.

Enter your address, you will have to lookup your postal/zip code on Google.

Enter card details and select pay now.

Then relax and wait for your order

When you say access bank card must it be master card or visa cause I want to order a phone around 105k and I have a visa card.

Any access bank debit card for a regular account.

Also have it at the back of your mind that you'll be charged higher the naira amount you see on aliexpress.

Forget the price in Naira, multiply the amount in dollars by your banks exchange rate

Everyrhing that happened is actually not unusual. I guess the post office closest to your address is one of the POs in smaller towns in contrast to the Central Post office that is usually located at the heart of the state capital.

So what happens is that any parcel meant for a particular state first gets terminated in the Central Post office. It is from here that is is now dispatched to the various Post offices in the suburbs and small towns. Each of these POs have an assigned dispatch bag in the Central PO where parcels meant for them are dumped during the sorting process. It is at this point that the update (failed delivery) is effected. So failed delivery usually means it is already at your central post office. If you use the POS in the suburbs, you need to give a few more days to have it arrive the area.

Should I fill in my address instead of Post office address that has been on My AliExpress account for Years, since it seems speedaf is the one handling most deliveries irrespective of Shipping option chosen...
You know, so that it can be delivered to my House directly instead of going to Pickup @ PO

Something Surprised recently, I bought some very small items from AE, chose free shipping, the cheapest of all options (even the Highest or Premium option was less than $3)
It said it would be delivered around March, so I ordered and commot mind, only to check my mail today that item is at post office... That's about 14 days or Thereabout it took, and it was delivered by speedaf too

Does speedaf handle all AE Shipping and deliveries now?

How Chinese New Year currently affects all Aliexpress shoppers

The Chinese New Year holiday period starts on January 31 and lasts until February 15, 2021.

This is the time of the year most businesses in China close down to celebrate. This has a lot of consequences for AliExpress shoppers and you should know about this:

* January 22: stores start to shut down and stop shipping orders.
* Between January 29 and February 6 most stores are completely closed.
* From February 7 onwards some stores will start to reopen
* From February 16 things will go back to normal but ...
* Shipping services will recover slowly due to massive backlogs from orders placed during the holiday and reduced international shipping capacity due to COVID.

During this period:

* **shipping times can be extended to 30 days or more**.
* Average **delivery times can be a month** **longer** than to normal. So 2-3 month delivery times are to be expected if you order during the holiday.
* Sellers may be hard to reach and won't reply to messages. Smaller stores are often left completely unmanned.
* Aliexpress also works with a reduced staff and customer support can he hard to reach.
* Disputes can take a very long time to get resolved.

# General advice: BE PATIENT
