On What Ground Will SW Ask NE Not To Contest For Presidency? by EastisBae: 11:07am On Jan 25, 2022
By 2023, the SW would have ruled for 16 years while the NE has never ruled.

So on what ground would Tinubu representing SW ask Atiku representing NE not to contest?

Can someone explain this further maths to me please

Ibo boy, when did Tinubu or SW ask Atiku or anyone not to contest? Yorubas are not like Ibos who are crying that no other regions should contest.

South West has never and will never ask anyone not to contest. Even if Buhari wants to contest again, we Yorubas are ready to humiliate him. Can you see that we have never said that Atiku should not contest, not that an Igbo should not contest? We are ready to take n the whole Nigeria in any contest. It is Igbos that have been screaming that Yorubas should not contest because Igbos want to Presidency to be zoned to their village. That will never happen. Igbos have been saying that Yorubas should not contest, but they are at the same time supporting Atikuchukwu the Cameroonian bisexual to contest. No be juju be that?

yoruba juvenile, you people have been claiming that North should hand over to South. That it is the turn of South, yet SW has ruled for 16 years and NE zero, so what's your moral justification?

Have you no conscience?

On the contrary, SW has been claiming it is the turn of South to rule. They claim that North can't hand over to North, that it would be an injustice to South. The argument has been on since, so I want someone to explain why SW (16 years in governance since 1999) would be qualified to rule while NE (zero years in governance since 1999) wouldn't be qualified to rule?

Stop asking questions like this, it would only make the divide between the north and south more and even make the north more suspicious of a southern president.

U and I know apart from Dave Umahi, south east has not merited the right to seek for presidency.

Why should Nigerians vote for an Igbo president?

Convince me

Nobody is telling anyone to contest or not to contest

But on what ground are yoruba people shouting power must come south?

That’s the question

I stopped the southern governors meeting through persuasion and awareness that Yoruba people were planning to ambush the south to support Tinubu

The governors themselves were able to identify the manipulation and that’s it

Wike called for south south governors meeting .. OBIANO refused attending the asaba meetings and Enugu ..

Yoruba power must come south mantra disappeared . And they officially started their campaign by visiting asiwaju in London.

Nairaland is a faceless forum..

Power returns North

South don’t have any justification to manipulate north into giving them power ..

All Na Yoruba failed manipulation... only sad that igbos bought into their scam .. with their southern unity blah’s and southern governors trash

Eboe boy provide the proof where Yoruba asked North not to contest like the Eboes been crying for Yoruba not to contest. Yorubas know it's the South turn. South means Eeboes, Yorubas, Edo, and everyone in South. Why are Eboes scared of competition? I think they know they can't win. That's the reason why they keep wailing like castrated monkeys.

Simple, for equity, peace and progress!
Nigeria stands on a tripod, two legs of that tripod have had their own fair share except one leg, so for stability sake, Igbos should be allowed to rule.

What do you mean by SE not meriting the right to seek for presidency? On what ground would you say such?

You guys have been claiming it is the turn of the South and North should not rule again after Buhari. So what are you denying?

It is you guys that are scared of competition by blackmailing North to support power shift to South. Same way Igbos can't win alone is also how yorubas can't win alone.

Hypocritical abobakus.

Exactly!! This is what the West has been saying!

Nigeria stands on a TRIPOD, Northern Western and Eastern

Jonathan = Eastern Nigeria
Buhari = Northern Nigeria
= Western Nigeria

It’s certainly the turn of Western Nigeria on the tripod legs

Why not use this energy you open these threads with to promote a candidate. Everyone has the right to contest for the seat of president and it is your right to vote your preferred candidate. Promote that person you would vote for. If tomorrow Tinubu secures his party’s ticket, then he really worked hard for it and you would keep opening endless threads on nairaland

Politicians are persuading others to support them and scheming for power. It is not about the SW or NE

Yoruba.

Two legs of the tripod have ruled severally except one leg and that is causing instability because a tripod needs its three legs to be stable.

At your age you still exhibit juvenile tendencies and that's a shame.

Since independence, it has always been wazobia. Hausa/Fulani represented North. Yoruba represented West and Igbo represented East.

Respect those grey hairs and start acting your age please.

Non!

Wrong. When they talk about Nigeria standing on a tripod, it means the three regions that made up Nigeria at independence. They are: North, West and Eastern regions. Jonathan is from the old eastern region and as such has occupied the office of the president on behalf of the Eastern leg of the tripod. Buhari from the northern leg is the current occupant and the next president should come from the west.

It is that simple. Saying Jonathan doesn't belong to any leg of the tripod is simply being disingenuous and even disrespectful to the Eastern minorities. He's from the East just like you.
