Are there people here that use transfer wise (now wise) to receive payments from clients?

I'm asking because from my research I read that CBN banned their services here in Nigeria. Consequently, one can't use their service to send or receive money.

For those using their services I have two questions:

* do you get your money in naira?
* do you use a domiciliary account to get your pay in dollars?

Transfer wise doesn't send to NGN accounts again. So you either use a payoneer checking account or a dom account.

I receive USD to my Wise account and send to an exchanger that pays Naira into my bank account.

Payoneer provides free USD checking accounts. You can use that with transfer wise and once your money huts Payoneer, you can withdraw to local NGN account

I have used them before. If you are sent funds in dollars or any other currency you will be settled in Naira. But you have to link your Bank account and specify the currency of your account.

I don’t understand what you mean by using a dorm account to get the USD. The exchanger I use is a Nairalander @Pman06, do your due diligence before transacting with any exchanger.

Thanks. From what I understand you have an account with wise that enables you to receive money in USD.
