Starting my forex trading career this year I hope it goes well.

How can one use high impact news in trading?
Like how you can tell from the news if itd be a buy or sell.

Is it based on negative=sell (like sacking of workers)
And positive =buy?

Why not use technical analysis to trade rather than fundamental analysis? It guarantees more wins.

Any way, I just started Forex this year. I am still learning but haven't started trading yet. And from the little I have learnt, I will rather analyse technically than fundamentally.

And more so, let's focus more on risk management and trading psychology than the specific strategy we are using.

Our main focus should be as follow:

Strategy 10%

Risk management 30%

Trading psychology 60%.

Majority of beginner traders focus too much on strategy than the rest two without proper risk management in place.

My take: learn technical analysis if you really want to be among the Forex trade big boys that always have consistent wins.

After news it starts trending. Price start to go one direction uptill this morning, now as we are speaking just exactly as I read in forex books.

As a general rule the best bet is to trade after news, not during the news. Except the trader has a strategy that guarantees >95% accuracy during news.

Last 2weeks on the ongoing contest, I cried out when I saw two people opened 2 different accounts with different monikers, I took snapshots of my proofs just in case they would like to deny their actions, then again, I pleaded that they should not trade one of the two accounts to avoid being called out. They yielded as I monitored the dashboard till like the 8th day (the accounts were still at the starting balance of $10K), then at the 8th day, the untraded accounts were manually disqualified due to inactivity I believe.

Kudos to these two people for obeying and respecting my call on that......Nobody should try to cheat, nobody - I hat* when anyone tries to prove too smart - one day you will be caught.

The norm I have also noticed people doing (though it has ever been in existence, but now rampant) is that 5 different calls are made, upload the updates on the ones that go their ways but ignore the ones that don't...Many of these happened here last week.

Above all, I will give kudos to some special people that are really doing the right thing here, I know them, I see them, they know themselves. If I will be coming up with a contest anytime soon, these are the only set of people I will send contest invite to -------- we are not f**ls here, losses are part of the business, infact all businesses.

Those that are new, having one or two posts, hardly comment here will be shut out. I noticed that is one way of stopping cheating or use of two contest accounts.
Some deliberately use pin or hide their trades and then place exact opposite trades in another account.

And then the proud ones will be stopped from the contest moving forward as well.
This contest is to simply help, motivate and improve our community here.
