That's exactly what I don't understand. Kidnap and March out hundred people at once. Nobody sees, nobody intercepts. Not that the kidnappers come with truck or what, they are on motorbikes. Don't find it hard to believe. They have landmass plenty and therefore plenty ungoverned areas. The 100+ victims are simply marched in a single file into the bush. At some point, they are divided into batches for easy admin. Boko Haram would show up to receive some of them, both male and female and the rest will be gone with the kidnappers awaiting ransome, while some are wasted from the get go.

It will usually take the forces at least 6hours to arrive the affected villages.

Most of these northerners now go to bed in anticipation of a possible kidnapp. So the women especially resorted to dressing fully to bed in case anything happens, they won't be naked for the journey.

On the flip side, the north had prided itself as more populous than the south, lies, it's just land mass (ungoverned areas), which has now come to hurt them.

The way Nigeria is growing makes it a point of attraction to different elements. If they know 40% of a locality have military training , they would be more careful coming to that locality and the people in that locality are also security conscious at all time.
