It is very obvious that CBN has laundered huge billions of Naira through NIRSAL's programs but the insinuation that rice of such amount can't be produced in Nigeria is a huge political joke made by Hanga who lost relevance in ruling party and decamped to opposition party trying to get cheap political relevance in his new home.

I have no doubt, that pyramid is nothing at all compared to the many rice millings ware houses along Kano-Jigawa, Hadejia road. I know a single ware house that has more than 500k bags of paddy rice. Jigawa produce more rice than Kano apart from Kebbi, Kaduna, Niger, Yobe and other large scale rice producing states.

Honestly, some useless, unpatriotic Nigerians are still dumb for overlooking our capacity.

This pyramid is nothing compared to our rice production capacity.

This farmers can't not make heaven by scaming the government

The program was designed by fraudsters for fraudsters. How will someone tell me farmers scammed CBN if the program was not designed to fail by the CBN itself! Imagine some useless elements importing close to one million bags of rice and PMB claimed our borders were closed.

Since these products follow a chain during sales to get to the consumers, the farmers alone cannot determine the prices of this products

For example, when a bag of beans was sold for 30k in Taraba, same was selling at 65k in Enugu state

For ur info, first loan from cbn to farmers thru anchor borrowers fund was around 2016. That first tranche had been foreclosed and accepted y cbn as bad debt.
This 2nd batch commenced 2019,between 2019 n 2022, more than 3farming seasons have passed.
Yet only 20percent of funds disbursed to farmers have been retrieved so far, n u have the guts to say when time reach cbn will get the funds.
To even worsen the issue, the price of local sandy rice is almost at par with clean long grain foreign rice.

I knew this whole rice pyramid thing was an elaborate scam. The very small percentage of the Achor borrowers loan that was disbursed didn't even get to the hands of the real farmers

So why say that the farmers scammed CBN when its the coordinators who stole and shared the money while releasing peanuts to the farmers and when the government enabled terrorist groups are not allowing farmers to plant? These scams and looting Hausa led government and terrorist enablers have as good as grounded agriculture in the north! The north used to brag before about how they feed the nation... Now they cannot even feed themselves! Which way for this country sef?

This was almost the same thing that happened during gej era, Jonathan started this program, 25b was take off grant, those who had capacity to cultivate rice were given the money. Instead ofnthem cultivating rice, most of them went to foreign countries n bought cheap rice, import and flaunt it amid funfare and whatnot...
That purpose of lifting thousands out of poverty thru farming was again defeated by those rice goons. Though we had surplus of rice in themarket.
