Thank you all for the plethora of messages about BC and my journey! Encouraging to see how keen you all are to make progress with your lives.

Forgot to mention, my university is called Trinity Western University, British Columbia.

I'll do my best to respond to those in my DMs ASAP,

Have a blessed week, and to those waiting on good news this week, IT IS DONE, in Jesus' name!

Happy New Year, hopefuls!

I am glad to see everyone's commitment to succeed in their quest to "japa" without delay. My Hebrews 11:1 God that favoured me in getting admission in days and getting my visa in 3 months will favour you!

Life in British Columbia is great! The weather isn't harsh like other provinces where it's still snowing and in the minuses.... I am wearing chiffon blouses with a hoodies to go out (just to illustrate).

As others have helped me on my journey to BC, I am committed to helping others selflessly. Feel free to send me a DM, as my busy schedule with this master's and work won't allow me to scour through this thread as much as I want to. My school has intakes for May for masters and every month for MBA, by the way. Please, I need my Naija peeps here.... China ti take over! tongue

Wishing you all God's immense favour!

The thing is that i am 17 and will be 18 by may. I would have chosen diploma because of the cost and i want to grad fast and begin work to earn pr quickly. I considered my age and made that decision. Thanks for the information tho.

I respect your decision. You are the one to know what's best for you. Bachelors degree is definitely better for your student visa profile. All the best

Good evening Makano, Lekiboboe and others,

My tuition fee is 34k for 2yrs. I have paid 17k for first year. I have 10m in my salary account plus $10k in another account.

Is my proof of funds ok or should I add the fixed deposit certificate of 3m.

Nice balance and money. You are good for funds with the extra 3m, but make sure you prove how and where you got all your funds. Canada is more interested in that.

Hello guys
I am a second time applicant
I submitted my application on October 14th
Medicals got passed October 25th
Eligibility started December 21st or so and I have ordered for my gcms notes

But I found out I submitted my imm5257 form twice in place of the family information form, so I quickly sent the family information form through mail the next day on October 15th

I have sent mails for update, and I got reply that my application is still under review. I don't even know anymore.

Is everything OK like this

As long the two previous forms do not contradict one another, you are good and it is not a big deal. If they do, you may need to pray o.

Having a sibling in Canada does not affect one's chances. We have seen applicants with two siblings in CA getting approval. We have also seen applicants without siblings in CA getting refused.

If you have a sibling in CA, you must indicate in the family information form. Doing otherwise you will be telling a lie, and if they find out?

Landing Gist

Ive come to give back to the thread that gave so much to me.

I pray that God answers the prayers of all PPR hopefuls and fulfill your heart desires.

Long post brace yourself!

Departure: January 26
Airline:KLM

Flight was scheduled for 10:45pm but I got to the airport by 6pm and I'm glad i did, Father Lord it's like a massive crusade was going on at the airport.

I had about 8 eight people with me, man never traveled before grin in the end only my mum and dad could get in and that's because I know someone.

So I was directed to the customs guys first, the people there were already tired, they just asked me if it's my first time travelling and purpose of travel, they opened my bag and just scanned through and said I should 'bless' the guys I dropped '5H' and move.

Next the person i knew led me to a shorter queue and made me understand that the line is for business class, I had economy. She told me not to talk about my ticket and went to work. Almost after she left someone started checking people's tickets and sent like 3 people away from the queue (at this point I was just calculating ehn) finally he came to me and said "what's your class of ticket" and I said "good evening" he asked the question again and for whatever reason I confidently said "KLM" grin then he asked that I show him my ticket i bought out my phone and took my time trying to locate my ticket then he left.

Immediately he left, the person that brought me to the queue came back and i told her so she went and talked to the guy. The next challenge was my baggage i wanted just 1 bag as i don't like carrying load and made the mistake of not weighing it at home (please try to do this it will save you stress) it was weighed as 44kg instead of 23kg so i had to split into 2 at the airport.

I was cleared and my documents were checked and was given my boarding pass then i went to say my final goodbyes to others that couldn't come in then proceeded to board. My backpack was checked then I boarded.

We landed at Amsterdam at 5:55am, and had to wait for 5 hours for the connecting flights. My documents were checked again and I boarded.

We arrived Toronto at 3:45pm local time, went to the self declaration machine and answered some questions the receipt was printed I went to join another queue, the lady there asked for my course duration and if i know someone in Toronto and then made some markings on the receipt then told me to join another line.

I waited for my turn and the man on the counter asked for my documents, he asked why I arrived late (resumption was January 10) and I told him that there's an option to attend classes online and I've been having online classes. He asked for my course duration and said he will give me 3months extra and that im welcome to apply for an extension if need be and then he issued my study permit.

Next i went to get my luggages it was so easy and went for the covid test make sure you register online.
I was done in 15mins and left. All along I was thinking "the cold sef no reach I'm gonna bouce it off" but my people immediately I came out of the airport shocked
My spirit and soul literally left me and ran back into the airport ooo but came back sha and we moved.

Advice: if you are coming in winter get plenty winter wears o, the clothes for Nigeria's weather are useless.

Documents:
POE Letter
Acceptance letter
Confirmation of Enrollment
ArriveCan receipt
Quarantine plan
Travel Authorization letter
Passport ofcourse
COVID card
PCR test result
Tuition fees receipt

I also printed my Statement of account just in case but I didn't use it at all.

Once again thank you to the gurus and everyone on this thread. I wish us all great successes in all our endeavors. Amen.

Congratulations. Canada will favour you in Jesus name Amen .

In as much as I would love to agree with you, the issue of hometies comes to mind..

Having declared one has a sibling in Canada, his or her homties in Nigeria would need to be buttressed more if not, getting a refusal based on home ties is imminent.

So in a way it affect one chances but can be used as a plus if there is sufficient home ties in Nigeria which can be proven efficiently.

Read a post of a refusal here and the vo stated in gcms that applicants as siblings in over countries (not the primary reason for refusal though).

Hey guys,

Please, because GCMS note is taking too long to get, I want to crack on with my application blindly, but I would like to know from the experience you guys have, what could be the reason for refusal based on "current employment situation", when the individual is employed?

Help me, please.

Did you write a detailed and concise study plan? Stating your background and future prospects?
Also did you include your CV,employment letter,promotion letters(if any),payslips,work ID,Study leave approval letter,business invoices (if in a business),business card.
If you did not,you may want to look in that direction.

Good morning guys. This information is for those who have been looking for available dates to book their medicals with Qlife and haven’t been able to get. There are currently available slot dates on their website from February 21 to the end of February, you can quickly go on there right now and do your medical bookings. Cheers.

Hi guys

I just got an admission for fall 2022 in university of Manitoba (M.A Economics)
But they gave some conditions I don’t understand
They said I must submit my official transcript and I understand that
And then they said I must submit my degree certificate with a letter from the registrar attesting and must come in a sealed and stamped envelope
What I don’t get is : are they saying my school should send my certificate along with my transcript
Cos it does not make sense for my certificate to be sent.

If there’s any alternative
And I might need to put in my application by March cos the school said I need to be in Winnipeg before mid August
