People like Amaechi would rather have Nigeria build world class train station and railway with Chinese loans to Maradi and Niamey in Niger republic.. those are the kind of people ruling us in this country.

Aren't they supposed to revive the Iddo train station down to Lokoja to Kano for ease of transport from West to North? No plans for cargo trains, nothing.
It's poor countrues with no economic value they want to spend Nigeria's commonwealth on.

NRC have a lot of colonial era buildings at Ebute-Meta and the buildings are still very strong and solid. I doubt if what the Chinese are currently building can last that long.

GEJ was a big disaster and I believe that's the reason he lost in 2015. He ran a wasteful govt. and was planning to continue the wasteful spending on railway to Niger republic when his own home state Bayelsa has nothing to show in terms of infrastructural development.

It simply means Amaechi couldn't think for himself to see the down sides of GEJ's railway plan to Niger republic. I'm glad the House of reps. have put the said plan to a halt. Lagos state economy is 10 times that of Niger republic. Even small Anambra there is doing far better than Niger republic economic wise so where is the sense in building "world class" railway there?

The last time I saw that building was in 1997 when I used to board a bus to the north during my secondary school days . There’s a bus park near it that conveys passengers to the north. The park should still be there i guess

It is Chinese fault because no company from West would do substandard project. There are so many substandard products produced by Chinese companies in Aliexpress. You cannot say the same thing for US products in Amazon.

Wasn’t the international terminal building at AIIA Enugu, also GEJs idea together with the ones in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano!? Yet, while the other 4 have long since been finished, the one at Enugu has been left to gather dust and cobwebs!

Yeah! Solid structures quiet alright, but why is the government still patronising the Chinese if it is feared they are building substandard facilities?

Meanwhile, Why do you think the Chinese will not give the nation substandard infrastructure when they can no more bear Nigeria's debt burden that the country is now turning to Europe for loans?

You want grade a, to z, you get it, your cash determine what you get and don't put all blame on the Chinese for producing substandard product, blame our importers too for cutting corners, blame SON for not doing their job all in the name of making profit at the expense of the masses.

Many people use Chinese products don't mean all their products are standards. Chinese companies flood markets with substandard products which are creating environmental nuisances. For your information, none of my gadgets were made by Chinese companies. Note that there is different between made in China for US companies like HP etc and made in China by Chinese companies.
European/American, Japanese, korean, Israelis and Australian companies are known for producing standard products.

Yoruba people are the cause. They are too slow in development.
