For those who think they should produce the next President of Nigeria after Buhari, be it the South West, South East, South South or North, lets look at what the current Presidency has done for Katsina State Aminu Masari is the Governor of Katsina, the state that produced the current President. But below is the Governor going to beg an armed terrorist to stop killing Katsina people. Katsina State has become hell on earth with bandits in control of large swathes of the state. Governor Masari is now crying for people to take up arms and save their lives. The people of Katsina are tired of being killed. They are crying but have no respite So as you jostle to produce the President of Nigeria, just remember one thing. If the Presidency of Nigeria could not help Katsina, it wont help anyone, no matter who produces the next President There is a deeper problem to Nigeria than where the President comes from, and that is what we should focus on 7 Likes 3 Shares

The presidency is a very strong position especially in Nigeria but when it's occupied by a weak and bigotry person, it becomes weak. That's why wise people say that a group if dogs led by a lion will do more than a group of lions led by a dog. Buhari is weak, nepotistic, incompetent leader and he's surrounded by self-serving and praise-singing opportunists. Take that same office and give it to a strong willed competent and incorruptible person and see how he'll perform 3 Likes |

Igbos and scaremongering mixed with reverse psychology. Nigga, this 'modus operandi' of Igbos is busted and 'played out'. Especially coming from Nairaland IPOB inspector General who should never be interested in the problems of Nigeria or who leads her as President. Your whole write-up can only make sense to your fellow IPOBians and console their loser spirits. To other Nigerians it is obvious that Nigeria, as long as she remains one, and regardless of whatever problems she is facing, must have a leader. If nation can have leaders in war time, then what garbage are you talking about? Those who know Igbos, and you in particular, will understand that this is a loser 'consolation speech'. An attempt to make your fellow IPOBians feel good about the reality of how 2023 Presidency is beyond Igbos. 3 Likes |

helinues: He was born that way. Every Igbo that arrives the world after the civil war is automatically anti-Nigeria. The indoctrination of hate, from birth, against Nigeria and other Nigerians also helps to 'crystalllize' the ideology of hate in the minds of most Igbos including those who want to do 'one Nigeria' initial gra gra. That is why, despite what they claim publicly, it will be difficult to find an Igbo who does not hate other Nigerians deep down and is not overtly or covertly supportive of Biafra, Kanu, IPOB, UGM etal. 5 Likes |

Dsalvo: @ bolded is questionable. They are only anti Nigeria because their party is not the one in power. Take a look at when Super Eagles was playing, irrespective of tribes, political party or religion, we all supported Eagles. Since Eagles was eliminated from the second round, AFCON threads have been empty meaning those thousands of people that were on Eagles threads are not really lover of football but lovers of Super Eagles. 4 Likes |

DMerciful: Yes O. We are petrified of Igbos. Just look at how your political leaders and Governors have turned all the 5 States of the SE into mini Dubais and small Londons. Why won't we be afraid of such 'supremely talented' leaders? Wake up and smell the coffee son. Where you see Power Mike the rest of the world sees pathetic and empty chest-beating Jokers suffering delusions of grandeur. helinues: Bruv, Igbos are anti-Nigeria for many reasons including the bolded in your post above. Suffice to say they have displayed the same behaviour for many decades and even caused a devastating war because of their anti-Nigeria predilection. If the Yorubas and the over 250 other Nigerian ethnic groups are not anti-Nigeria when out of power does that not show you it is Igbos who can correctly be described as anti-Nigeria? It matters nought why they are anti-Nigeria. What matters is that they are a disruptive influence and a constant menace to all other Nigerians 3 Likes |

Dsalvo: Let's start from the genesis. Who benefitted from the first coup attempt in Nigeria? Who became the head of state? Who arrested Adaka Boro? What was his offense? Ojukwu declared sesession because his region is no longer in power even though some of his concerns were genuine. When GEJ was in power, Kanu of this same Ipob leader protested for pro Nigeria. He lead several protest then Then what quickly went wrong within that short period? Did Kanu lose faith in one Nigeria just because their preferred candidate lose the election? What exactly are Igbos agitating for? Between agitating for Biafra or Agitating for credible political leaders in SE e.g Abia state, which should be the priority? 4 Likes 1 Share |

DrGoodman: Not telling you it has. Point is that a democratic sovereign nation has to have an elected leader. OP is just scaremongering to make Igbos feel good about having no chance of producing Nigeria's next President due to their own offensive actions and inactions. Actions would include insulting other Nigerians 24/7, year in and year out, to then expect them to support your national political ambition. Inaction would prominently include refusing to to join the APC merger in 2013-2014 to now be demanding an Igbo be made the candidate of the Party today. Igbos are the architects of their own misfortune and they need to confront this reality sincerely instead of finding different ways to justify their wrongful ways, as OP is doing, that has led to serial failures over several decades. 2 Likes |

helinues: You don't get it. Igbos are anti-Nigeria because they are incapable of loving, valuing or respecting others. They feel it is their right to lead everyone else always. Of course their anti-Nigeria fervour would be most virulent when not allowed to lord it over others they have disdain for. How many times have we heard Igbos of all ages, different background and different academic qualifications proclaim uniformly and emptily that "only Igboman can deliver Nigeria"? What exactly is such garbage utterance based on? How Igboland is London and Singapore in comparison to others? What exactly bears out Igbos claim of superiority? Till today, no Igbo has ever gotten even remotely close to Awolowo who, for objective folks, is still one of the most administratively and politically effective and brilliant leader to come out of Africa ever. Should the Yorubas then be blackmailing Nigeria about divine right to rule because of Awolowo or do we dedicate ourselves to gaining the support to lead others as we try to do always? 1999, and till date, the best political/administrative leaders of Nigeria were/are not Igbo. On the contrary, Igbos parade some of the most useless and most incompetent leaders Nigeria has known in the form of Orji Kalu, Theodore Orji, Chimaroke Nnamani, Martins Elechi, Uzodinma, Ikpeazu etal. Where is the misplaced megalomania coming from if not the result of innate their nature of disdain, disregard and lack of respect for others? They will never give Tinubu regards for his administrative and political talent uet they will be touting 'baby' politicians and bed-hopping mediocrities like Umahi, Obi etal as superior. Even on this thread some empty chest-beater claimed others are afraid of Igbos. Abeg based on what? Bro, Igbos will always be anti-Nigeria and anti-Nigerian because their arrogant and hateful nature, that prevents them having respect and consideration for their fellow man, means they can never submit themselves humbly to meritorious processes. They will always insist they are supreme and scheme to command others wherever they are even when no meritorious justification exists for that. The Igbos particularly hate Yorubas most in the world for the fact we historically burst their egocentric and megalomaniac bubble consistently. Being anti-Nigeria stems from having no regard for other Nigerians and having no regards for other Nigerians will always make Igbos anti-Nigeria. 3 Likes |

Re: So You Want To Produce The Next President? Better Look At This by EastisBae: 8:58am On Feb 04, 2022 |
gidgiddy: Even though I get your point, but you should also understand that with or without the president coming from Katsina, the state would have still been in the throes of rampant insecurity. In the same vein, anyone hoping that Igbo presidency will radically transform SE or Igboland is also naive. However, there are certain pecks that come with producing the presidency or being in the corridors of power, especially in a country like Nigeria. An Igbo president would easily make the dredging of river Niger possible and make Onitsha port viable. He could easily build another port before the bridge and ensure that all bottlenecks surrounding its usage by importers are removed. If that's the only thing he achieves for Igbos, then it would be worth it. Secondly, even though he may not give preferential treatment to Igbos, but at least he won't watch and see his region sidelined and cheated like has been the case since ages now. What caused the agitation for Biafra was the percieved injustice against Igbos, once such is addressed, the need for Biafra won't be there anymore because a common large market will always be favourable to us than a fragmented one. Here is food for thought, Do you know how rich Igboland would have been if the entire West Africa is one nation without discrimination against foreigners? Do you know we would easily dominate all retail, wholesale and supply businesses? Now, the economy of Nigeria is about half that of West Africa, breaking it further down will hurt us and our business interests. In essence, was Biafra agitation necessary? Yes! But should it come at all costs? No!! 1 Like |

helinues: Typical of treacherous two-faced afonja people, they like stoking fire among others while they cowardly watch from their enclave. See stupid questions, wasn't Ironsi the highest ranking army officer after the coup? Hasn't Nigeria experienced countless coups since then? So do you now blame the ethnicities of those that championed coups or call for their people to be exterminated? Who bombed Odi, in Bayelsa and killed innocent women, children and men? What was their offense? Who destroyed Zaki Biam and killed lots of Tiv people? Was it not Obasanjo? Which in your own sentiments should be blamed on Yorubas. Ojukwu never declared Biafra because his region was no longer in power. You really must be very ignorant or just too daft to pull of a propaganda. Dude, what happened in 1966 is still all over the internet and books for you to read and gain knowledge. The reason why Ojukwu declared Biafra was because of the genocide on Igbos living in Northern Nigeria! He complained bitterly about federal government and Northern Nigeria government's deliberate inaction to stop the killings. More dead bodies continued to arrive East in trains and lorries. Survivors kept recounting gory tales of their experiences and there was massive anger in the East. Pressure was mounted on Ojukwu to declare Biafra since Igbos were no longer wanted in Nigeria. The Eastern house of assembly held series of meetings before they eventually mandated Ojukwu to declare Biafra. Even afterwards, Ojukwu didn't completely close the door on Nigeria. He continued having meetings/negotiations in the hope that a solution would be found. The climax of it was the one held in Aburi, both sides came with top delegates and Kwame Nkruma of Ghana hosted it. It was there they reached agreement on what would have brought peace. However, on returning to Nigeria, Gowon reneged on the agreement. That was when Ojukwu/Eastern Nigeria popularized the phrase "On Aburi we stand". Now, the aburi Accord is what would have set the pace for a modern Nigeria where no section would feel cheated. Today, over 50 years later, the same Aburi Accord is what is being demanded for in the name of restructuring. So before you start regurgitating nonsense next time, try to know the basics first. 1 Like |
