This was supposed to be my month, yesterday precisely on my birthday.
After two relatively good pregnancies, I was laid back and had no clue about how hard things are for some women.

Went for 6 weeks sac and they saw the gestational sac...told me to come back on two weeks to confirm. I never did. I had no morning sickness, no discomfort, only a bit of bloating.

At 12 weeks, I felt a gush of fluid at work. It was odd, so I went to check and saw a bit of brownish blood. Started having cramps a few hours later and went for scan....nothing showed.

I can never forget that feeling. Confusion, fear, pain, doubts. . I still cry to this day about it. Turns out I had a blighted ovum that had already started discarding itself.

Went for another scan and all they saw a a small seedling fibroid. I was asked if I was sure I was pregnant

The next few days, I was a zombie. It was a sallah period so I couldn't even shut down. On that day, I experienced the pain of a miscarriage, a mini labour and then passed the small placenta. That was it.

To God be the glory, I'm here today again at 19 weeks. Strong movements and all the pregnancy packages, but I thank God all the time.

Please, never underrate any woman's journey. Be it TTC, pregnancy, miscarriage or whatever. When you hear of such, symphatise and offer a kind shoulder if she's willing to accept.

Such things can even lead to depression and we assume it's casual or normal, it's not. If others don't understand us, which they don't, not even our husbands and family members, we women should be here for each other.

God will surely make it easy for all of us and we would carry our happiness bundles with tears or complications.

hmmmn... So sorry to hear about dis... Tnk God all is going well now... Was suppose to be on team February too but had a miscarriage at 5weeks + ..., it was very early in d morning, a discharge frm down below woke me up, rushed to d toilet n saw bright red blood, it increased as time goes by.... Did Pregnancy test a week later n it was negative.... Omo!!! I cried ooo but almighty Allah wipe my tears away n grant me my heart desire again immediately... I didnt want to hear story dt touch hrt again so, resigned frm my wrk to focus on my new pregnancy journey cs d job is 99.9percent physically demanding n draining... My ears were full frm my husband, family n friends asking y i resigned frm my wrk, dt am i d only pregnant woman on earth? Sm were even comparing me to oda preggy women wrkin... I told dem body defers n moreover i hv my reasons, ones bitten twice shy... I love kids more dan money abeg (me dt baby fever don catch me 100%)... Dey talk n talked, i didnt bulge... I was lik una don born una own children finish, abeg mk una leav me, i aint wrking 4 now.. C me now, almost at d finish line... I tnk God almighty 4 his mercy n kindness upon me... I pray God shld grant all women dt is seeking d fruit of d womb wat dey want, so dt dey can also carry their bundle of joy... I swear, it aint easy... Experiencing miscarriage humble me abeg, i was a shadow of mysef wen it happened, i cried on d way n everywhere i go not minding if people r even watching me.... May we nva experience such again.... Nva ever!!!!! Amen!!!

Well I'm 37 weeks today and baby is XX but I need to get some things. Money is a big factor and my last pregnancy so I'm not enthusiastic in buying things.
Like Is new Iron wrapper and Oja necessary or should use the old one I used for last baby? New plastic drawer or to use the one I used for two children. To get new bath set or use the ones at home? Since it's a 1st girl child , I bought clothes flannel, shawl , caps and baby bed, all new.

Mine has been wonderful, unfortunately I am down with covid19, and it just myself, hubby and baby.

With all these stories from general hospital, why do people still say they are better than private? I really dont get it. She even said she was screaming while being stiched. Does it mean they dont numb the area before stitch. I cant be reading all these weird things abd still carry myself to general hospital.....from stress of registration due to crowd to spending the whole day for antenatal to delivery stress. Not to talk of if theres an emergency. Except maybe for the cost

It's not about the cost and General hospital is no more cheap o....just 2 days there and we spent about 98k for normal delivery excluding the money for registration that I have paid b4 and compulsory blood donation. I used a private hospital that was expensive for my last pregnancy and my case was not handled well that I lost that pregnancy at 16weeks, I was bleeding heavily for close to a month...that's was why I had to use General hospital this time enduring all the stress from registration to antenatal days because I dnt want a repeat of what happened the last time. They have more doctors with different level of experience to manage every case.
Like the pregnant woman that died...she was referred to General hospital from a private hospital she was using when they could not handle her case but it was already late.

If u see the way my heart was beating reading this. Thank God for your life and that of the baby. Thank God for success of the operation. Ur experience is similar to mine. Except that my belly button protruded,(which we see as normal, me I was even liking it,cos my navel as always been the inner type.), but it is pulling the uterus, causing pressure on it, leading to inflammation. I ve been on antibiotics etc,operation was ruled out unless I want to bring baby out. I responded to drugs. I was discharged this morning.

Team April make I register officially, EDD 16th but elective will be on 4th April I really look forward to that day to end my pregnancy journey as I will be having tubal ligation too. I am tired,exhausted but have to keep pushing, 30weeks today 8weeks more to go not so keen on knowing the sex but I want a BOY hopefully by Monday I will know. Wishing us all safe delivery. Mama, please use the ones you have if they are still useable. I’m doing same . When I showed hubby my list, he asked if it was “list 1a” and when the others are coming�. The only thing I bought then that I’d buy again is breast pump but this time electric, then car seat, skin care,swaddling and receiving blankets, clothes and others like that.

When i had my baby in dec 2020. It was about 160k for normal there though i used hmo so i didn't pay. A lady i met there paid about 630k for cs. Antenatal is around 65k. Dont know about now

Seems in depends on location. For me i will choose general hospital always reason been incase of an emergency, it can be arrested immediately.
Like my case in 2017 when I gave birth to my son,the boy came out with cord round his neck and almost lifeless. Thank God it was a general hospital,he was immediately rushed to the NICU just a floor above the labour ward and quickly resuscitated. Dont know what would have happened if I had use a private which maybe no facilities on ground to arrest such case,it would have been a referral and maybe he might not have made it.
For normal delivery, last that was 2017,1 paid 3k5 and their CS is 35k(ABUTH Zaria).
This is not to discourage anyone from using a private,cause their are private that are very good and know what the are doing not like some that are just out to make money. I guess their delivery should still be around that amount or maybe 5k now.

Goodevening.
I've been following this page as a guest for a while but finally registered.
Pls I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I have a lot of spitting and odd taste in my mouth, I cannot swallow saliva please what can I do to stop this? Also how long does it usually last? I didn't have this with my previous pregnancies and I don't have any other symptoms aside from tiredness and headaches when I'm stressed.
Pls help. Thank you
