Thank you. Unfortunately, its not available on Amazon/Kindle. Will endeavour to buy and read it though.
For now, what notable points can you share on here?
Also, how do you propose we restore it to its pre-1960 days? Correct me if i'm wrong, but was that essentially, 3 regions? This is showing itself in a different form today i.e. Arewa, Biafra, Oodua.
Each region had their identities before independence and the identities were impressed in the constitution. Agitations for biafra, arewa oodua etc republic is frying pan to fire. Are governors not collecting allocations, how have they impacted on itizens? Imagine these same people at the helms of affairs of an independent nation. Find out the allocations 2nd republic governors received and how life was meaningful.
Convert yearly allocations to dollars and compare performance then to now. Some may tell you population has grown but that won't take away their service to their people

Read Bernard odogwu, 'no place to hide'to start with. He was the head of Biafran intelligence

I wish no tribe to leave Nigeria until they repair it the way it was in 1960. The founding fathers agreed on independence to live together under certain conditions. If we can not revert back to that constitution no one is leaving!
'No one is leaving,' you said?
See your mouth...
Get ready to keep on battling secession groups in the North, SW, Niger Delta and East.
Na your body go tell you, Mr 'one Nigeria'.

I am not sure what your points are maybe you can summarize?

Anyhow you made the statement that Forsyth is a neutral. That is very important so you need to go and better inform yourself then come back
My last book was Alabi-Isama's "The Tragedy of War" and prior to that, I had read articles and reports of life before and after. So far, Fredericks accounts seem to be the most factual. Please note, that at this point, I'm only talking about the pre-war aspects.

Refer to my initial comments for my points.

I understand you, but I don't fully agree. The 3 proposed countries will in fact, foster their cultures and identities better than it is being done now. They will also have the federal backing and control to do so.
I can't speak for other regions, but for the East, the Politicians we know of today are viewed by the majority as Colonial Warrant Chiefs. They don't have the hearts and love of our people like Dr Michael Okpara, Ojukwu did, and today, like Kanu does in various parts.
These Politicians will have no place in Biafra.

There was no time the Itsekiris and Uhrobos were part of any Eastern Region.

I don't know about Idomas as you may be refering to Nigerian Eastern region spanning from Borno through Taraba, Benue to Enugu to Cross River.

Why should I refer to your comments for your points"? You seem to think tat you have something important to say.

All I know is that Forsyth was not a neutral he was a sympathizer of Biafra

You may be young with ideas and you see a promising future in your new country. I have lived long enough to see this country go from promising to failure! Many people fought the military to get this democracy. They had high hopes,as you are now, with expectations it was going to better, but they now realize what the military stole was chicken feeds and life was even better.
The elites in each region have so much money to sway political agenda,if this country is not firstly restructured, and we stay few years before going our separate ways it is going to be frying pan to fire

Please, for once, let's be civil in our discourse with one another.
Mods, my intent is not to discriminate or be tribal. I just want to have a discussion.

Firstly, I'm still in the first few pages of Federick Forsyth "The Biafran Nation", a piece written by a neutral ( A Brit) who experienced the war and I would like to share a few bits with you all.

1) My people of the former Eastern region, we might not all speak the same exact language in our region, but we are more alike than we have been made to believe.
Please, let us not continue to water the seeds of division between our people.

Why have we let others come in our midst to sow seeds of division. My brother's, my sisters. Please! Let's stop our collective suffering and understand that for centuries, our region had lived together and naturally, we know one another.

From Ibibio to Anang, from Igbo to Efik, from Itsekiri to Idoma, from Uhrobo to Ogoni, from Izon to Isoko, from Itsekiri to Ikwerre, please wake up!

By calling for our unity, I'm by no means calling for the hating of the West or the north. I would like to respect their Sovereignty. I'm simply trying to help my generation fix the mistakes of the past.

All hail the people of our great regions. All hail Biafra!

Here are some screenshots for those interested.
Most of those ethnic minorities does not want anything to do with Biafra, stop begging for alliance from an unwilling partners.
Biafra is a lost cause ndi Igbo should forget it and pay more attention to develop their own region as others are doing.
When we were in total control of Eastern region we never valued it then, our eyes and focus was in Lagos and other regions that made up Nigeria until we took actions that led to us losing Eastern region,we are still doing same thing today until we lose control of the 5 SE states currently under our control today.

Without wasting time to read the long note, I will gladly tell everyone here that as a worthy son of Annang land, I will always identify myself as a Biafran anytime any day.

Again, no one is fighting you. The people must decide. However, if we are divided in our region, Abuja will never allow the people to decide. Why are you finding it difficult to understand this, man? undecided Are you truly Ijaw?

Move on to what exactly!? Even though he misapplied the term 'Eastern Region' as he made mention of the Idoma, Itshekiri, Uhrobo, etc (who were not part of the legally defined geographical area then known as the EASTERN REGION, i know the message the OP was trying to convey! He was trying to highlight ethnicities of similar culture and values!

I love his submission! The day these peoples overcome the divide-and-rule antics of the hateful and cunning bastards that have overseen the destruction of a once promising country, that will be the day of their emancipation!

All hail Biafra (of the mind at least, that is if you don't believe in secession)! smiley

The Eastern region was a creation of the White man, without Nigeria, the Eastern region won't have existed.

Those days are gone, even if Nigeria is to divide, the Old Eastern Region won't still unite.

When Nigerians are ready.

I use the term "Eastern region" because it is what is easily recognizable by the people. It is a combination of a people with similar cultures and identities that lived together and coexisted for centuries.
I trust that the people know what I mean.

Have a great day!
Ijaws have not only been coexisting alongside tribes in the Old Eastern region alone.
