The home as a unit for building the individual has failed but the church failed first. The nation has lost moral values and the situation is irredeemable! |

Another anti church report. How does going to church or listening to prosperity messages relate to ritual killings? How many of these so called ritualists can you connect to any church in Nigeria?? This is why I personally attack some senseless Christians. Obviously, this report was written by a southern Christian. You blamed your church, you blamed pastors and priests, but left out the main perpetrators of ritual killings in Nigeria. |

The problems of this contra-factive gathering called Nigeria is enormous and therefore are Education and Religion;in nigeria today private schools are everywhere everything with these privately owned academies is monetized, students are no longer learning how to cut grasses, sweeping of classrooms(monetized),students are not taught farming activities in a country of which hope for tomorrow is agriculture, what you see in private schools is eating of biscuits with food packs everywhere,if you flog somebody's child for wrongdoings the management of a school will show you the exit door(hiring and firing),without qualitative education (not issuance of certificates that is going on in the country), hard works and creative thinking why won't people resort to ritual killings.About religion almost every pastor in nigeria want the highest form of live for him and his family so they won't stop at nothing to coerce the gullible to do the untold. This is why emphases nowadays are on tithes and offerings and so much of moral decadence. Now a little business you are doing with somebody you are afraid whether you will be killed by your business partner(no truth) and we are expecting FDI. |

Adabestseason:A country whose constitution empowers its leaders and politicians to loot at will and instead of the deliberately oppressed, cheated, underserved malnourished citizens to rebel and call these moral underlings (that have been intoxicated with the drink of corruption) to order, instead claps their hands and choruses their praise while maniacal looting is going on. With all these rubbish how e wan take better? Never! Na yeye country. |

NwaNimo1:Here, the OP started by pointing out how prevalent money ritualism is. Somewhere in the middle, he discredited the assertion that money ritualism makes one a millionaire. After, he said people engage in it so they could get rich quick. I mean, why would it be prevalent if it is not luxurious? All I see is a confused fellow. 1st, you don’t believe ritualism gives money and you follow it up by saying lazy people indulge in it to be stupendously rich. Isn’t that conflicting? My stand. Money ritualism is real and true. And it is a menace that must be eradicated. |

The recent increase in ritual killing is ONLY as a result of the validation Nigerians give seemingly wealthy people without asking for evidence on the SOURCE OF THEIR WEALTH. Any Nigerian who tells others to mind their business and not ask for the source of the wealth of an individual is the sole creator of these evil monsters we have in Nigeria today. These people MUST be held responsible for emboldening ritual killers, kidnappers, armed robbers, fraudsters, assassins, corrupt politicians and their likes. This get rich ANYHOW or die trying syndrome in Nigeria is the only reason people find the confidence to perpetuate the evils that they do. If they succeed? They know they will get willing defenders in many Nigerians without any form of moral compass. |

It is too bad gadgethead:This is the main reason for the increase. The law enforcement authorities are not doing anything to help the situation. I have also heard unverified stories of them killing and harvesting organs of people they are meant to protect. If you post derogatory video about a politician-governor, senator, minister, etc. The originator will be tracked and fished out immediately. Where as there are many videos online and social media, circulating on whatsapp of ritualist killing people , yet they can't be tracked and arrested. It is evidence of the complicity, you don't need to look far. |

blackpanda:I had some very heated arguments with friends over the Obi Cuba pornographic display of ( ill-gotten) wealth. I told them that sooner or later, all of us in the society eventually suffer the Blowback for such vulgar display of material wealth. The vulgar displays of wealth, whether earned or ill-gotten, negatively affect the psyches of young, impressionable youths growing up in a wretchedly poor society. |

I am against the biasness of this report against christianity and it's core beliefs. 1. The writer actually intentionally left out the opposite major religion in Nigeria as if Nigerians practice only one religion. That pointed out. Do the Nigerian pastors preach that? No. When they preach prosperity, they are preaching hardwork along with it. 2. The writer intentionally criticize the Nigerian pastors living out the main culprit who are showing the Nigerian masses who look up to them as mentors that if they don't have this money, they are no where to be found. In these category, we have the Nollywood and especially the Musicians who are displaying excess wealth on the screen to their followers. These people are left out but the blame falls on the pastors by the so called writer. 3. The writer intentionally left out the parents and the guardians who are the real custodians of every child (either adult or youth) and pinned the blame on the pastors and deliberately forgetting that charity begins at home. 4. Lastly, the writer knowingly pass the blame to the pastors and on purpose left out or exonerate the individuals who carry out such barbaric act as if these individuals are babies or are force to do it or are not yet in the age to know the left from the right. This is misinformation and should be discarded |

Things have gotten so bad.... Well, it boils down to the government who can't care for the exploding populace, minimum provision of essential services.... Nigerians are really suffering.... |

The authorities and their swift response to crime and swiftly making sure punishment is served is of utmost importance. If the US, German or UK authorities are also weak and corrupt, ritual killings and other gory crimes will be a everyday occurrence in these countries too. Nigeria police have been known to aid and protect ritual killers in Nigeria |

mrcreator22:I feel you and you actually hit the nail on the head but the question is where is the home? Its no longer there in most of our cities.some years ago ,Nigerians missed the point when every bad person then like the like of tom polo, asari, avengers, egbesu, opc, etc and so many other associations and individuals that tasted blood became instant celebrities.their children and grand children are now adult with no moral values and blood shed in their lineage ,so what type of society do we expect.we never see anything,Hope you saw the viral video of a mother dancing in a party and her son of less than five years drinking from a bottle of beer, even if the content is not beer, what type of adult will the boy grow to be.An entitled, selfish drunkard who view women as cheap and less human because his own mum is cheap with entitled mentality and an enjoyment freak.I pray for the youth of today.!! |
