The northerners have special hate for the southerners, more especially the Christians. This is a religious hate. Sadly, they regard the southern Muslims are second-grade Muslims too. There is on need naming bridges and roads after anybody. The bridge already has a name "2nd Niger bridge". It has to stay that way. Trying to immortalize your name by naming a bridge after you when you didn't initiate and fund the project is sinister.
I don't know why the northerners hate the southerners so deeply but I clearly understand that the hate is passed on from one generation to another. Not all southerners are Igbos.
