Eligibility has already started, any further Document might delay your application. I didn't use any MBS, I didn't even submit my own account, I submitted only my mum's who is my sponsor and I got my visa. Everything is in the hands of God. Don't complicate your application.

My little suggestion please.

Semtu:

I want to send MBS certificates. Though I already submitted bank statements with my application, but since most people are using MBS, I feel I should just add them also.

Or is there no need?

Thank You Ketima for your advice.
Ketima:

Hello JNATH,

Proof of fund (POF) is vert very necessary in your application. Now you're stating that the person you wanted to use as sposnor isn't financially stable now. So how may we be of help in that regards? We don't give neither do we encourage formulation of proof of fund. As you know, sponsorship from parents, siblings has edge over 3rd party sponsor like aunt, uncle, in-laws etc. But it doesn't mean if you have sibling or parent as sponsor, your application will be approved nor if you have 3rd party sponsor, your application won't be approved. So what you will need to do is get a Sponsor since your can't sposnor yourself or apply for student loan to help you on that.

Long post alert

Good morning Nairaland Family. I have come to give back to the source that gave me hope on this journey since May 2019 2021. Its PPR GUYS!!!!

I dedicate this testimony to God Almighty, the one who got times and season in his hands. Though it was a long wait from getting ITA for SINP in October 2019 to rejection in April 2020 and starting the Study permit journey in November 2020 , but it happened when it was meant to be.

November 2020, I decided to explore the study route after an attempt at PNP with no success.

This is my First application (Self and Brother sponsor)
Age= 44yrs
Applied for Admission=== December 2020

Schools=== NBCC and Crandall University both in New Brunswick( i had a strategy for choosing schools in that province, they are immigration friendly to Nigerians and international students. PR is quicker both in study and after schoolon}) NBCC waitlisted me for PG in Business Analytics while Crandalll offered me uncondirional admission in February 2021 and fees fully paid as at June 2021.

Course === Masters in Organizatiinal Management ( already have Masters in HR from UK (online)

NSE for IELTS only ==== used the same IELTS for PNP. Account i used does not qualify for MBS( a call account)

Medical done May 3rd and my kids May 27th and submission for application was May 14th

Biomerics ======= May 26th
Medical passed =====. June 4th

Then the wait started and I also requested for GCMS notes 3 consecutive times, waiting for the 3rd before the PPR came.

Started sending soft mails to Nairobi and Beijing in August as my school session was to start in September. I took the advise from the group and sent to the MP in charge of Moncton but no good response.

I was really getting frustrated, at a point i had to stop reading through posts in group for my mental health.

PPR: February 10th 2022 for myself and 3 kids

God is faithful to his word and whatever He says he will do, He surely will

What i did...
I selected some schools of my interest, I mailed my credentials to them requesting if I'm eligible to study ... course in their school. Some replied and said no, while some replied and said yes.

I then went ahead with full application to the ones that said yes, stating that I had earlier made an enquiry and was asked to go ahead with my application.

With this method, I didn't have to go through any admission decline from any school.

Hello guys I my admission request just got Declined.

Great move! A Nigerian lawyer practicing and lecturing in Canada interceding for Nigerians on student visa approval refusal rate to the House of Commons.

Thought I should share to give some hope to our quest for the Canadian dream.

Do you get an email notification that your eligibility has started or you only get to know when you check your account?

Hi everyone
I changed my surname due to personal reasons, will this affect my visa application and family ties?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Nobody: 11:32am On Feb 11, 2022
mrprolifik:

Let's look at it this way.
If you get a new loa while still in Nigeria and withdraw your acceptance from the old school you use in getting the study permit approval then by law you need to inform IRCC that you have changed school , and you need to do this before travelling and you would need to submit a new application for study permit while still in Nigeria.
So to change while inside Canada it means that you must have gotten your study permit from the immigration at the port of entry in Canada using the Visa obtained with the LOA from school A( old school) . After getting your study permit you can attend your school for a week and then decide to switch to a new school using the link I sent you and in this case you wont be needing a new study permit. You just have to inform ircc using that link.
So basically u still have to be a student in school A when you land in Canada. After you collect your study permit. Then change.
I know a lot of school will refund part of your tuition if you study for a week and then withdraw.

It is safer to attend the old school for at least some days before you change . This is because if you change immediately you land without attending the old school you might get your study permit revoked and ordered to leave . So it's better to play safe. It's even safer if you attend the whole semester and in that case you can transfer your course unit to the new school if you are doing the same program .
thank you very much for this detailed explanation I understand perfectly

Thank You for your feedback. she will come in first before switching and she has applied to the other school too
mrprolifik:

If she changes school before travelling to Canada she needs to alert IRCC and that would mean applying for a new study permit. If she wants to change school when she gets to Canada , she needs to take some courses in the school she used in getting her study permit then withdraw and switch to a new DLI then alert IRCC in Canada .

If it's for Grad School(MSC/PHD), take your time to read all contents in the link below, apply them to your own field of study and Research Interests so you can have a competitive application.

Note that you need a minimum of 2.1 and a strong GPa in your last two years in the University E.g 400L & 500L

Await more contributions from others

You already have these three schools on your list, check the courses they offer to know if they have your intended course or any related one. If they do, copy their email from their website and send a mail to them, attaching your result/credentials and asked them if you would be eligible to study that very course with your result in their school. They will reply you, whether you fit in or not.

Google more schools also that have that same course and send them mails using thesame pattern of communication as you did with the above schools. I hope is clear to you?
