These are the very same people who were up in arms against Iyaloja general whose appointment is an age-long tradition preceeding the migration of ibos into SW. They talked down and hurled invectives at Babalojas and Iyalojas in Lagos markets.
It came as a shock that same people opposed to the installation of Babalojas and Iyalojas would gladly accept the installation of one of their own without batting an eyelid. If that is not the height of hypocrisy, I wonder what is.
The fact that these people, in the spirit of greed, would disrespect their hosts and throw at them all manner of insults, disregarding the conducive and friendly environment, atmosphere to strive, economic opportunities and sense of belonging and identity the host affords them.
How do you maintain a social relationship with people who kick against a cultural heritage of their host but turn around to celebrate it when it comes in their favour.
Since Babaloja is alien to the ibos, so, why accept the title?.. One would expect them to reject it with the same vigour they used in kicking against it whenever a Yoruba man is about to be installed.

Will the Igbos ever allow a Yoruba man head any market in the East?

Ladipo market now has little to no Yoruba businesses there because of Igbo traders flooding the entire place. The mechanics and all that are Yorubas have been sent packing and yet Tinubu-Ojo thinks this move is the best?

Well I'm not surprised.. when someone is handpicked to a position instead of years of experience, they'll end up making a mess of the place.
Stop crying. Nobody stops you people from going to Igbo land or Hausa land to spend good money and open a big market...
The Igbos didn't get those spaces at ladipo or computer village or alaba for free, they spent huge money....and it's all good for the state's revenue.
They dominate these markets and it's appropriate to make one of them iya or babaloja.
Nobody will deny you what you deserve if you can muster some courage and go get a place in the east and dominate and open up big market.

The leaders of ketu yam market are hausas. They fought you yorubas violently over that positions but as usual, the Igbos are always your problems

The Igbos came into Ladipo first as tenants and divided the market into Igbo wing and Yoruba wing yet the morons we have as leaders see nothing wrong in that.

Can Igbos allow Yorubas own a section of their markets in the East talkless of being the head man in the market?

Instead of the Igbos to go and develop their region and make their markets more visible on the map, it's existing markets in South West they'll be targeting and how to displace Yorubas and take full control of the place.
Since you guys are opposed to the igbos going on their own, then you should stop the Lamentations cos Lagos like anywhere else remains a part of Nigeria where all Nigerians are free to domicile.
If you are serious, come out boldly and says all this garbage you are saying in public..you should be arrested

Babaloja of Computer Village - Mr. Adeniyi Olasoji.
Haha....oga , forget these useless iyaloja and babaloja.

You see ladipo , Lagos island markets , Trade fair, okeowo etc. Yoruba no get mouth there. I know isale eko like the back of my hand . it's not about population but who control the trade and commerce.

That babaloja is a mere ceremonial post...they bow to the big trading stores mostly owned by Igbos.

As in they take market in credit to sell for little profits.

Go to Docemo street, Obanikoro , Balogun, Nnamdi Azikiwe and you will learn Igbo control these places with Yoruba urchins collecting 100 naira for Igbo smoking change.

Guy man forget story. Everybody for Warri know him shed. Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw mutually respect each other's territory and culture. We have tried it the Igbo way before, it led to serious bloodshed and everyone was a loser. If an Itsekiri man can matchet an Ijaw man for threatening his territory imagine what will be done to an Igbo man from Biafra?

I think the Igbo man should have refused that title giving to him by the Yoruba people. Not everything dem give you you dey collect. Las las na long throat go be the undoing of ndigbo. Yorubas like to see themselves as above it all, that's why they give Igbos too much room in Lagos up to the point that it is a common joke among Igbos that Lagos is their heritage. Yorubas are good in many things but when it comes to learning from history, they are very poor. In Nigeria, the 2 tribes that are the most obsessed with expansionism are Fulani and Igbo. I still remember Kanu's first draft of the Biafran map he was so ridiculous the idiot included Warri. That expansionist arrogance. That deep seated desire to unfairly lord it over everyone else is in the heart of the average Igbo man not just Kanu. We know the slaughtering of Niger Deltans carried out by Biafran soldiers just because many of our people refused to join your foolish cause. We are very aware of history. Clearly, you are either a Yoruba person or someone with a bit of language of the tribe. When you wrote '"Golugo people".

Unfortunately for you. You may have also classified your parents and progenitors in such same brush. I hope you have not averred that your own parents are "Golugo" as a Yoruba Man. When thoughtless people imply things sometimes do not realize how it bounces back at them.

That goes for the "Golugo" person scion of the "Golugo" two that made him.

This is what happens when people leave substance for mundane Sundary expletives that aptly applies to them.

Re: Iyaloja Appoints An Ibo Man As Babaloja Of Ladipo Market by YungMillionaire: 8:36pm On Feb 11, 2022
Nigeria is a fake country. The only way a fake country can survive is for every nation within the fake country to mutually respect each others territory, culture and tradition. Me I have said my own they will say I am anti-Igbo. I am anti-Igbo yet my first choice for president is Moghalu? Use your brain. How many anti-Igbos do you see going around supporting Igbo presidency? I know Nigeria very well. As long as you are not overstepping your bounds territorially and culturally, Nigerians get along fine far better than any country in the world.

There are 2 tribes in this country that for some reason simply refused to respect others. We all know who they are. I spent last year castigating Fulani herdsmen and their enablers in power, Buhari and Mallami. To this day, Fulani are still overheating the Nigerian polity especially in the North. Whenever you hear the word 'bandits' in Northern Nigeria just know that its a Fulani. The level of disrespect and violence that has been metted out to Non-Fulani Northerners by Fulanis has completely degraded the relationship between Fulanis and the rest of the North. It will take several generations before things even begin to come back to normal. The distrust level is quite unbelievable.

Unlike the Fulanis, Igbos are not prone to violence. They are very peaceful people. However, the Igbo has one trait that makes him quite unbearable to say the least. One way to describe this characteristic is a' tendency to dance on the proverbial grave.' You go to Lagos, you make little money and you start saying rubbish like "...Lagos is the heritage of Igbo people..", " Lagos is no man's land..." "...we are going to buy up Lagos and make sure Yorubas become our tenants...", "...we own Lagos..." and so many other disgusting polity heating rants. Even in so called normal countries, this kind of speech is likely to result in disaster. Imagine what it will do in a fake country like Nigeria? In addition, you insult Yoruba people's tradition as primitive and irrelevant. Anyone that knows basic Yoruba history knows that the position of Iyaloja is as old as the founding of the Yoruba race. You said babaloja/iyaloja is a primitive institution that should be completely eliminated. You open your mouth and say that such an institution should be discarded simply because you have the highest stakes in a market or two. You have no respect (or at least even tolerance) for other peoples' tradition/culture. You believe that the only thing that counts is the power of your accrued wealth.

If I am lying, please call me out. I know Nigeria very well, I have lived in almost every single region. If Fulanis and Igbos refuse to change for the better, this fake country will cease to exist within decades. The value of diplomacy and mutual respect can never be overestimated at this time in human history. Global warming is gonna wreck serious havoc to food and water supply; and Africa will be one of the most impacted. Which means more and more herdsmen are going to move to the South, more of more Nigerians of all tribes are going to move to the SW especially Lagos. The ability to live and let live; to respect each other and solve problems diplomatically will determine if we survive as a country or not.
