Nigerians Drag CBN Governor, Emefiele On Twitter With #TheEmefieleDisaster

The rumored plans of the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, to stage a surprising run for the Presidency became a national trending topic on Thursday as Nigerians from across the country expressed their dissatisfaction over the move – alongside Mr. Emefiele’s overall tenure as CBN Chief – using a scathing hashtag, #TheEmefieleDisaster.

Users of the platform who joined in the conversation accused the CBN Governor of executing a partisan agenda at the CBN aimed at retaining the support of high-placed members of the ruling party, the APC, who are keen on helping him succeed President Buhari as the country’s next leader in 2023.

They alleged that despite supervising Nigeria’s worst economic and financial performance in decades, including a spiraling foreign exchange crisis, he has remained untouchable due to his willingness to open the country’s vault to this exclusive class within the APC who are backing him for the Presidency.

Others noted how Emefiele has concerned himself with partisan activities unrelated to his official mandate as the CBN Governor, asserting that the deliberate inflation of his roles and duties constitutes evidence of his reign of impunity and abuse of office.

“Emefiele expanded his impunity by making an unannounced courtesy call to the camp of the Nigerian Super Eagles all the way in Cameroon; a visit that has left Nigerians wondering non-stop as to its relevance to his role as the CBN Governor,” one of the tweets read.

Rumors of Godwin Emefiele considering a likely run in 2023 has gathered steam in the past few weeks with multiple inside Villa sources affirming that the banker has emerged as the most preferred candidate of certain APC figures who consider his Presidency the best-case scenario.

The primary consideration, according to the sources, is that it allows them to honor the growing call for a power shift to the Southern region of the country without handing over the reins of the country’s economy which Emefiele has, allegedly, surrendered to them.

With all the economic disasters associated with this man and Buhari, don't be surprised that some people will still canvas for this man to be the president.
If you doubt me, ask yourself why people are still routing for Tinumbu and Osinbajo. Two people we know are integral parts of this disastrous government.

They should call out his soul spiritually,a very useless man.

I don't know why southerner behave like a foreigner in their own country. Give them any post in Nigeria and watch them turn to houseboy to their masters.

I remember how vibrant Sanisu was as a CBN governor, but this guy has been reduced to a bootlicker.

And the award for the most useless CBN governor in the history of Nigeria goes to ...

He can never take any decision on his own,no reform. Always going back and forth.

Buhari and his disaster cabinet crew❗️❗️☹️

Every sector and ministry are all
disasters whose 'performance' are
just the lies created by those in charge.

Biggest disasters are in the following

⏩CBN
⏩Agriculture
⏩Security
⏩Petroleum
⏩Works
⏩Attorney general
⏩Transport
⏩Currency
⏩Food security

All monumental failures❌❌❌

They play too much on twitter.

If you are a serious minded youth and you are not on twitter, trust me, you are not missing anything. It is worthless to you.

Twitter is a platform where people go and idle away and cyberbully one another until they have someone else to blame for their self imposed and self destructive idleness.

Sometimes I wonder how Nigerian elite sleep at night

Exchange rate was almost 200 to one dollar 8 years ago it’s going towards 600 now

If you had 200,000 naira 8 years ago you had 1,000 dollars

If you have 200,000 naira now you have just about 333 dollars

How on earth does one sleep at night

Does anyone know what this means

I will take making 200k in Nigeria 8 years ago than going to one America and going and be washing toilet therr and be shouting Nigerian the evil you have done is over

Go to the Uk and see people who have no hope except the holiday the HR give them to visit Nigeria and would only pay bills and die from the looks of things

Fam Nigeria was bad 8 years ago but at 200 naira to 1 dollar, it wasn’t this bad

Bakery sellers, small guest houses, shoe sellers a lot of people in Nigeria can easily make 200j profit in one month, this was equal to 1,000 dollars. This made them equal to some people who live in America and have a disposable income of 1,000 dollars after thier compulsory bills and taxation

This is what people don’t understand about what it means to have a strong currency

Once you have a strong currency you watch people japa leaving Nigeria to go and wash toilet outside Nigeria and you just laugh because you are automatically better than them cos even when dollars was 200 8 years ago . It was not a bad situation to be in

It is very very bad now, all the luxury hotels in Ibadan for instance charge 40,000 per night, I feel sorry for them cos that’s just 66 dollars, I thier mind they are expensive but they are not takes to those who destroyed the naira

200,000 naira still takes a lot of effort to make

So how 200,000 naira which was worth 1,000 dollars is now worth 333 dollars is incredible

Now almost everyone wants to japa

How do you destroy a whole country and it’s ambitions just within 8 years

Oh boy

This is the worst CBN governor in Nigeria's recent history. I have never seen a CBN governor this useless!

PS: Emefiele cannot run for president; who's advising these Twitter youths, BTW?
