Nigerian producers back then were wise. Since our movies were pirated a lot, the real money came from Ghana. So they had to include actors from Ghana to enable them sell into Ghana market with ease. Ghana was just a tool and few of their actors benefited from it. Now Nigeria had dumped them.

But in terms of spending it and in exchange of dollar
Ghana currency will be lower than our naira. they shud come and spend cedi in nigeria with $ exchange rate now very low.

Their musicians should attach themselves to the Nigerian music industry and make some decent incomes too , rather than preparing themselves to compete with Nigeria. That's the mistake they made.. The purchase power of the Naira is much bigger than the Cedi .And dont get carried away by the cedi,they just removed several zeros from the former currency.....let me explain it to you like in primary school,a pack of noodles is 2.50 cedis(200 naira),but in naira its 85naira.

Joke apart Ghana is more expensive than Nigeria and the good thing about them is that they have steady light and calm city. Can you believe before the light goes off they will announce it on radio to alert you before turning it off. If you have live in Ghana you will no that Ghana is better than Nigeria.

If you consider the nominal price (actual amount) of the currency, then Cedis is more valuable than Naira. However, it does not prove that Nigerians earn less than Ghana citizens. International organizations agree that Nigerians should deal with the double exchange rate in the country

Go and read about the redenomination of the Ghanaian cedis. They removed two zeroes from their money so take that into account before doing any calculations.
