Na stupid ppl go buy car from u at bogus price, the car wey dey car stands,no be toks abi,na from Pakistan dem import them from. Ole. Odd cars at bogus prices. Thief. 06 camry for 2.5m. Car wey dem dey sell 2m. I will never do business with any Nigerian. Thieves

I feel your plight bro... That moment you saved up to buy a car only to realize the price has skyrocket to a cost far above your budget. Well, if I were you I would channel my vexation to the insensitive government and double my hustle while I look up to God.
(AMDMAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INABILITY TO GET A CAR, THE GOVERNMENT AND YOUR FINANCIAL STATUS SHOULD ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS.... I CUM IN PISS)

(Then, AMDMAN we know the dollar/naira, import duty, land and sea freight brouhaha but please kindly look into the prices considering the fact that you have local competitors)

honestly. I know dollar is high now but most of his post recently are even more expensive than toks here in Nigeria.

Lol. The 'toks here in Nigeria' you're talking about are salvaged vehicles.

With the current exchange rate and what's now an over demand of used cars even abroad, that price he quoted is actually very cheap.

I agree. The cost benefit we used to enjoy from Amdman is gradually eroding...sad

Well, the emboldened can actually be circumvented by doing due diligence. Mildly accidented cars are not entirely bad too. Even Amdman advertises mildly accidented cars sometimes too.

Just saying though....

Thank you for your feedback.

As the prices dey do you, na so e dey do us.

Car prices here have gone through the roof due to low inventory and inflation. Then the least cost of shipping in 2022 is $1450 = N826,500. Then add clearing cost of N500k - N800k for a car of 2009 and below. The numbers just do not make sense.

Nevertheless we will keep trying different strategies to ensure that we are able to deliver at prices that give the common man hope.

But does it eliminate 'Escrow scammed me and ran with my money"?

1. The reason the prices are a bit lower is because the money is paid in advance. So you want amdman to use his money to buy a car for a buyer at the same prices those who pay in advance also pay?

2. You want to shift the risk to amdman, what happens when the buyer gets the car and escrow runs away?

3. Tell us how paying to an escrow is a less risk for buyers. Isn't amdman also trusted enough for a while on NL? Isn't buyer also sending the money to an escrow based on trust? Is escrow traceable or registered and VERIFIED with Nairaland to be sure money can be recovered should he/she elope with money? Check when the thread started and tell why should an escrow be more trusted than OP who has handled amounts NO ESCROW on NL has ever handled?
Does paying to an escrow have an insurance policy? How is it safer than paying to amdman who is as trusted as any escrow on NL

I just want to learn
Are you amdman’s spokesman

at bolded, you should be giving us Canada dollar rate not USD. People buy from Canada cos their dollar is cheaper compared to US. 1450 Canadian dollar isn't 826,500.

Please you should look for more good deals and make little profit to make this thread still active. (The thread is becoming boring). We have been a follower from day 1 and I have bought car from u.

Good luck bro

peeps4u post=110202626 :
I didnt miss any part of the convo sir.

I know how escrow works, and in this case escrow cant work unless the buyer is ready to pay more price than usual price. Would you buy a car with your money, clear with your money and wait till the buyer gets it before escrow releases the money to you and you even sell the car to the same buyer at same price you sell to those who pay in advance.

What happens if escrow runs away with the money?

I can't condemn anyone for having a trust issue, anyone has right to protect his hard earned money jealously. But anyone who finds it easier to trust unknown escrow who cant even be traced anywhere shoukd he run away with money over amdman who has handled hundreds of deals and more money any NL escrow could ever handle should simply go and buy at car lots which operate CASH N CARRY

Bro, calm down, pause, take a deep breadth and go back and read slowly and calmly this time, cos like the bolded implies, you did of course miss the major part of the convo you're fighting on

The gentleman was only trying to use amdman as escrow to buy the civic someone is trying to resell here, ok?

He will rather send the money to amdman than to the person who claims to have bought from amdman and will be reselling when the car arrives, so instead of giving you the seller the cash, give it to amdman instead and then amdman will refund it to you when car gets to the third party buyer

Hope its clearer now. I know we all love amdman and will jump at the opportunity to defend him most times but be calming down inugo

my brother, just ignore that guy, him and his other goat moniker. He is a hopeless troll. Also, I have found that peeps wey their talk talk and questions too much 90% of the time have no buying intention, no money, and are wildly ignorant. Tell them to bring one in themselves so they can learn, but nope they can't cos they ain't got the money to. Wankers. Lol
