ASUU is not saying they are meant to award professorships

They are saying the award procedure was improper as only someone teaching in a university can be appointed a professor, and Pantami as a minister is not allowed to hold and benefit from another official position

Just like ASUU does not tell the university council and its Senate who to promote, it cannot tell them the criteria for promoting somebody to rank of professor. In law, you cannot withdraw what you don’t have. ASUU does not regulate appointments and promotions.

FUTO really messed up big time.
The issue here is not even Pantanmi being a minister but the fact that he's been an apologist to a terrorist group at one point in time, is enough reason to withdraw that title and degree from him.

I can beat my chest that FUTO VC don chop money.

This ASUU guys are bunch of jokers. How can a trade union think it can legislate for an institution that employs its members who to appoint into whatever position? Is this not madness? It's like children telling their father he has no right to appoint a manager of his choice in his own company he built before they were born and they are not even legally on the board of the company.

ASUU is right in challenging futo but futo isn't accountable to ASUU
