OfoIgbo:This sounds like an impotent threat with no way of achieving it We all know that the only Eboe president we will see next year will be the president of OMATA Onitsha Market Amalgamated Traders Association You are not really as relevant as you think. As a collective you have a profound problem with narcissism |

hmohammed:PDP started the menace.. Nigeria was termed the happiest country in the world in 2011, while the 3rd fastest growing in the world aswell.. how is that madness? I think you are just more patriotic to APC than the country that houses the party. But you should understand that without a country, there would be no party. |

CoalcityBoi:You kept yourself and everyone else in Nigeria. Remember Azikiwe's stiff opposition to secession clause motion and Aguiyi Ironsi's Anti-secession Decree, Azikiwe's long speech discouraging Northerners' 1953 secession demand, and Ojukwu's violent sabotage of Isaac Adaka Boro's Niger Delta Republic declaration of February 23 1966 which was 15 clear months before Igbos ever thought of secession from Nigeria? |

Walkee:Blackmail got the SW the Presidency in 1999 - 2003. Blackmail got north the President with Yardaua taking that slot and Buhari emerging in 2015-2019 despite Boko-Haram and Sharia violence. Blackmail got south-south the Presidency in 2011 and nearly in 2015 with militants and Ijaw boys blowing hot air. If blackmail could get all these afformentioned groups the Presidency then the South-East is on the right track. They didn't do half of what the rest group did and so no one have any right to vilify them. A Nigerian President of Igbo extraction is the goal. South-East should not bow down. It's their God given right to ascend the Presidency just like others. |

Eastlink:The process is too gradual.. If they had done this earlier it will have remove deaths caused by ESN and the security forces as they would have been doing what Kanu was doing... International diplomacy... The Ohaneze should grow up and act up. Was the northern leaders action gradually. No. They have ruled more than any region, but when they felt GEJ will not had over to the north..they went abroad... Again the Igbo leaders should act up and save the region... If they acted up the young people forcing sit at home would see that their elders are working and they might sheath the sword.

Eastlink:no, blackmail didn't get anyone anything. In 1999, military and northerners wanted Obasanjo, Yorubas didn't even want him. In 2011 Jonathan won because he was already an incumbent and the oppositions was divided. In 2015 Buhari played smart by aligning with ACN and other small small parties. Go and check Buhari's votes since 2003. If ACN, CPC and nPDP didn't work together and build alliance there's no way Buhari would have won. Jonathan only became president because his boss died not because of militants |

Walkee:No Bro, as of now, they are part and parcel of Nigeria. It's when they are denied their legitimate right, when they're denied the presidency which other regions of the country except them have all gotten; that's when they'll vacate the country. |

Redcrafton:Elections is next year. The south-east has international diplomats in their ranks Amb Obiozor — the current Ohaneze Ndigbo President was former Nigerian ambassador to the US. Like the north who first cemented the political advantage to themselves before meeting the US ambassador and other european embassy, the south-east want to first cement theirs and move on to meeting the international community. It's a gradual process. |

Walkee:The clowns have a way of creating their own imaginary reality Obasanjo was put there by the military Jonathan got there because Yar'adua died unless they have secret information that militants killed him Anyway for fairness and equity Eboes should hand over the Akube and spare parts business to Fulani for peace to reign |

Essence20:Nobody is denying them their legitimate rights, as citizens of Nigeria, they have every right to contest and other citizens of the country have every right to vote for their candidate or not. They have rights to contest but not the right to win. |

| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Walkee: 10:21am On Feb 17, 2022 |
Essence20:becoming the president is not their right, it is nobody's right. You have right to contest the citizens all over the country will decide whether to vote for you or not. They are not the only people who have not been president. Didn't you attend primary school? Nigeria has 250 ethnic groups, how many of them have produced president? If you want to use geopolitical zones, have North East and North central produced presidents? |

Walkee:I guess you didn't follow the intigues that led to the afformentioned group becoming President. 1. The SW conflicts between Yoruba vs the rest Nigerians from 1993-1999. OPC led the onslaught from asking for Oduduwa republic to asking that the rest Nigerians vacate the SW. We saw that with "Oso Abiola", the hijack of a foreign plane, bombs going off, the several clashes between Yoruba vs Hausa and the dreaded burning of non-Yoruba youths by Gani adams faction of OPC. 2. For the north, the Sharia riots during Obasanjo's tenure. It continued till they used that crisis to stake their claim to the Presidency with Obasanjo denying guys like Peter Odili, Donald Duke, Rochas, Okonjo-Iweala etc the Presidency for Yar'adua. 3. The Ijaws began their destruction of pipelines, killing military & police personnels and kidnapping oil workers. And despite given amnesty under Yar'adua, the boys threatened to go back to the creeks if GEJ was denied the Presidency at the demise of Yar'adua. Similar threats occurred towards the 2011 elections and also in the 2015 elections. I bet you didn't know all these as your analysis focused on just the gentleman talks. Maybe history will write same gentleman agreement by SE and the rest Nigeria when they mount the stool in 2023. |

Eastlink:You don't get it... The Ohaneze are extremely slow. Even with the deaths caused by the Fulani herdsmen and the counter action by ESN, should have seen them going abroad for consultations, like the north did. This would have stopped the youths who have now decide to do it themselves. Is not only about 2023 presidency.. They should go to Chatham house, meet groups in (CFR) Foreign Relations in Washington...and other places. It will enhance the confidence of the youths...over there. Amb Obiozor knows all these. |

| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Walkee: 10:34am On Feb 17, 2022 |
Eastlink:none of these were catalysts for the swinging of the presidency. Was there no militants in 2015, why didn't Jonathan win? As for the 1999 primaries, Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo but Obasanjo won because the military backed him since he was a former military head of states. If Ekwueme had defeated Obasanjo in the primaries nobody would have stopped him from contesting in the main election and if he had contested and won he'd have been president. Jonathan only became president because yaradua died in office. Nobody gives a shiiit about militants. If Yaradua didn't die Jonathan would have never become president. As for 2015, ACN and CPC aligned and launched some of the most vicious campaign in the history of mankind against Jonathan, they made lots of promises and won. They didn't win because of Boko Haram. If Boko Haram was the reason Buhari won, why didn't he win in 2011? Was there no Boko in 2011? |

Walkee:Haven't you seen the Yoruba god Tinubu, bowing profusely to Buhari? Didn't you notice your people lick Fulani ass and falling over themselves to vote out the only ever SS president in 2015 in preference for a Fulani dullard and terrorist? Haven't you noticed that Ilorin, which ought to be a Yoruba territory, is currently led traditionally by a Fulani emir? Shouldn't the three questions I asked above be a guide as to which ethnic group idolizes the Fulanis in Nigeria? |
| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Essence20(m): 10:53am On Feb 17, 2022 |
Walkee:Yeah, they have every right to contest but it's only when they are given the platform that they will have a chance of winning. In the spirit of equity and fairness, it's expected that each of the major geopolitical regions be given a chance to the presidency. Others have had theirs, some even more than once. Last 2105, PDP zoned presidency to the north, reason why their primaries was dominated by northerners only. This zoning is meant to go round and is southeast turn, why are they reluctant to do the needful? Same in APC. |
