Nigerians That Left Ukraine, Do You Regret It??? by Adelayke: 2:27pm On Feb 17, 2022
I've been Ukraine since March 2021 and I've been thinking of coming back home but I'm really scared because of what people would say...honestly there's nothing here, the agent deceived me and the only job here is call centre which is a scam job and if you can't do this job then your other option is to become an agent and becoming an agent, you would have to lie and decieve people to come here just like the way I was deceived....my documents would expire soon and I don't have money to renew because I've no job, even if I get the money to renew, is it really worth it?? I'm so confused right now that's why I'm here to seek advice, should I come back to Nigeria and try to process a better place or stay here?....please I need your advice, please help me!

You should try to go to better countries from Ukraine instead of going back to Nigeria. Some countries are meant to be a spring board instead of a final destination but the problem is, people like you op, act like you've arrived instead of laying low and finding out other means to move to better countries from there. That's most likely the reason why you are afraid of what people will say if you go back to Nigeria

If you can't migrate legally to western Europe or North America stay back in Nigeria. It is better to stay and suffer in Nigeria than to stay and suffer in some of these 2nd or third world countries.

It is not easy my brother. You're there already and if you can, renew your papers and start your life afresh.

You need to become an Entrepreneur, na necessity dey say be the mama of invention. Start something online like olx (jiji) on a small scale. Go to Facebook Marketplace, buy something and resell for profits, small small you build your reputation. Or you can start your own online Marketplace, work must not be when dey employ you.

Your peeps from here can lend you even if it's 50k to start or you can start for free and scale it up.

Publish books on Amazon, or some other market place and grow. You can even start a YouTube about life in Ukraine for foreigners and I bet you with the wahala wen dey there now you'll get noticed and grow.

If you quit now you'll never know what is there to be achieved in Ukraine.

I know it's easy for some people to say come back home, but 9ja be as e get. 9ja now, No cause for control, everything is under alarm .

However, in life we can be successful anywhere if that's where God is destined for us to make it.

If your spirit dey Ukraine stay, if e nor dey return. But if you believe in yourself, reset your life and stop blaming the agents that scoped you to travel to Ukraine, you had the power to research before you started the process and eventually leave Nigeria.

I'm not here to blame you though, but I in life we need to learn to make our own mistakes and then move swiftly to correct them accordingly.

My advice; don't quit. Renew and Rebuild. Ukraine is better than Nigeria.

OP, I am sorry to say this but Nigerians are too desperate once it comes to travelling abroad. Once you mention white man's country, all their senses disappear and desperation sets in. All these Eastern European countries have nothing to offer but we wont hear. Most of my country men are stucked there and shame is not making them to take the wise decision of coming back home.

Please for the sake of your sanity, prepare for your home coming. Don't get stucked and waste your productive years waiting for the elusive migration to the western part of Europe as people are deceived and meant to believe.

The country is currently facing an imminent risk of invasion from Russia, also it is not a well run country. Additionally, corruption and instability has been wracking Ukraine for many years. I suggest you look to other good eastern European countries like Poland, Russia and Hungary. Estonia and Czech Republic are also relatively good choices. Make your choice by choosing a good uni from any of the aforementioned countries and you may likely get a bang for your buck.

The extreme racism in Ukraine can make you depressed, most Ukrainians are even frustrated about their lives too. In Nigeria even if you are broke, you can still find happiness. And lastly they are so many opportunities in Nigeria especially in our Entertainment industry, it just depends on your life path.

Don't go to Ukraine oh. I won't advice my worst enemy to go there. Russia is way better, you'd be happier.

Their fashion industry is so broad, you can get a job as a model and may more. And Russia is more stable economically than Ukraine.

Ukraine is a fucking shithole, very poor with racist whites.

There are tons of opportunities everywhere in the world only if we try to look deeper and see things for ourselves.

The truth is that the young man left Nigeria without proper research. Now that's his own mistake, and I think we are all allowed to make our own mistakes

Secondly, Ukraine is not poor, as many people would want you to believe. Just like Nigeria, Ukraine has its own challenges and setbacks, mainly political. Corruption and many more is really hampering the countries progress.

Our only problem on this part of the world is that we want every predominantly white country must have it going great like Canada, the US or Australia, it doesn't always work that way.

My brother had his 3 kids in Ukraine and he's how in Turkey. He speaks the Russian Language better than English.

If you must leave Nigeria you should have a very good reason, and not because you just want to travel or because Ebuka did then Chinedu must follow.

There is Money in Albania, Armenia, Moldova, Romania and every other country you can think of, just don't travel without a plan.

In addendum, maybe he has plastered his "abroad pictures" all over his social media profiles giving the impression he has made it. grin

I don't even know how people do it, first time I found myself there: stayed on a lowkey, no pictures, nothing.

Abeg, I prefer to be under valued than over valued.

Nothing like propaganda. An average black person you ask who lives in Ukraine would probably tell you the same. Do your research man.

While in Russia there are strict laws Putin enacted that protects foreigners. Russia in the olden days in the same Russia in recent times.

You've got YouTube man, use it. Hear from your fellow countrymen.

First of, erase the thought of what people will say. To hell with people.
Trust me tou are way better than someone who never tried or never left.

My advice
Why not try free schools in Poland ... Coming back to Nigeria is the last option (Last being after you have tried other option). so exhaust other alternatives first. Living expense is cheap n jobs are pretty much available.

Regardless of whatever decision you go with ... Please hold your head up high. It's okay to try and fail hopefully you are still young enough to try again. Be proud of yourself pls. Pls consider Poland.
