An honourable priest was trending about his analogy of davido charity giving vs the Nigerian pastors, he's not far from the Truth, even though the institution he's working under isn't pure but he's striving to use the platform well, I often listen to him on YouTube, I found his teaching to be more realistic than the brainwash we're used go. He's one of the few that supported the end sars protest, he said protest is the only way to get real change, if he catches anyone coming for church meeting, he'll chase them out.

My cousin in Nigeria told me his church had a crusade and one man came to testify that God healed him of covid, I opened my eyes, he said after two weeks he got cured, I said Haha, with covid, if you're not dead after ten days, it will go on its own, he was speechless when i told him. Ignorance is the mantra and it can be a weapon if used properly.

We have some of the richest pastors in the world yet they pay their staff next or workers to nothing, yet they claim they do charity on their own, They avoid getting taxed, I can remember one of the pastor almost lost his voice while he was threatening to curse the government when they wanted to impose tax on his church, that's just low, you need to see how they use court action and goons when they want to seize lands, they pounce on people like wolves to do what they want. Inequality at every corner of the society, there's enough wealth to go around.

You hear people that come to a developed country and brag about how things are, with jobs, carpenters, drivers, technicians, electricians all earn alot, this is due to dignity in labour, whatever Job you do, you shouldn't be ashamed and you must be able to take care of your needs, this is why entrepreneurs in this country don't rake in millions, just as you're getting into your car, your secretary too will jump in her benz, only reason why she may afford a more expensive version than yours was she spent future income by going on a monthly payment more like hire purchase. While you bought yours in cash.

Will anyone anyone here believe that you're no better than the man hawking gala or pure water, Just cos they're a pane of glass that keeps compressed air in, makes you think you're better than him under the boiling sun. Balancing weight of sustenance, maybe this is why we steal and hoard resources, to avoid the burning sun, trapped under that vicious cycle, with the priest with double chin and figure 10, saying if you commit suicide to leave your hell you'll be thrown into a proper pit with fire and brimstone. A man is forced to serve at the lowest rung of the society keeping the rich purse fatter. When he's dead, his capitalist relative will throw a feast with all assorted meat and drinks that he never had.

Recently the government released a bill, whatever job you do, everyone is entitled to paid two weeks holiday in a year, this is something Nigerians will fast and pray to get a job that offers this, when it happens they'll share testimony. Even if you work just a day in an hourly wage work, about 1% I think will come back to you for holiday payment, I got two weeks pay when I was off last year, I could have gone to Spain or Portugal if not for covid. The money will be enough as Spain is cheaper to live in than Ireland. Now there's talk of two weeks sick pay leave for every worker, whether you barb hair, bricklayer, security, dishwasher and so on. You see all these things. Want to leave Nigeria for here, yet people want to keep impoverishing us.

You see someone working full time, Struggling to afford food, getting nothing from working overtime, with no health insurance and possibility of pension, as soon as he looses his job. He's desperate and in big trouble, any of his child that puts the wrong foot forward gets the beating he will never forget, wife isn't innocent either as she married him for sustenance - a means to escape poverty impending doom, she'll likely carry the child and run to her parents or she'll start reconsidering the wink of the rich neighbour across the street.
She grew up with the mindset that only a man should provide, and he's not a man if he can't provide. Even though she's working and can support the family, the man has lost all respects because he's jobless, he might be taking the responsibility in the keeping the house. But in her eyes, he's no longer an equal. Women who even do the same work as men and are comparatively underpaid for the value they bring. This is the evil of Patriarchy.

If I have to go to Nigeria, I'll make it a point to pay everyone around me a living wage, I'm not saying I'll pay based on how they pay in Ireland, my commitment will be to ensure that whoever works for me will get enough to be able to afford a two bedroom apartment or I might hand them the rent, with no trouble paying for basic things like food.

Chiggsglover what you wrote up there is common sense, but then believe me when I tell you that if you try that in Nigeria the system will frustrate you.
The way of life in Ireland is completely different from Nigeria, and never make the mistake of coming back to Nigeria, we are going through trying times now.
These current fuel scarcity is the worst I have seen.

Very very sad, this fuel is affecting even some rich, I watched a video of Kate henshaw talking about it, yet some people will go and talk about Ukraine and Russia, when there's fire on the mountain in their region.
Thanks man

My heart goes go to the Ukrainians, they're no different from people In Africa and Middle East. How will they feel seeing how everyone is rushing to help the Ukrainians

In an ideal world where religion, race, tribe, sex and so on isn't segregating and compartmentalising us, Wholistically, Every life is equal and deserve equitable attention.

I don't care how blond your hair is, or blue your eyes are, or straight you have your hair, you're no better.

Alot of irish people have asked me of my thought on the war in Ukrainia. I asked them about their thoughts about the conflicts going on in Ethiopia, they said they weren't aware.

I'm glad Joe Biden pulled out his troops from Afghanistan, they shouldn't have been there in the first place.
If we have a new Nigerian leader that will change out country, the first thing that must be done is to reduce our dependence on the US dollars, with every transaction you make with dollars, the treasury department in the USA will cheer and pop champagne. Your country loses.

This was why Libya was taken out of the equation,
Sometimes when I hear this kind of truth, I get depressed, which way now.
China has their own issues because they didn't play the western propaganda and rely on the USA.

I was just wondering how people I'm the middle East and Africa will feel, seeing how other nation is rendering an open arm to them. The word REFUGEE isn't even used much in referring to them, they addressed as people in crisis.

Bunch of REFUGEE in boats will come from Africa and they will be shot at, turned away or silently taken out of the equation. I could see lots of sympathy from alot of Nigerians moaning and crying about the Ukrainians. Even in times or crisis will fare better than almost half of the Nigerian population that's not in crisis.

Is it not foolishness to be crying about someone's misfortune when you're in a bigger mess yourself. Some Nigerians don't even care about the conflicts in our continent, how many of you showed the same sympathy to victims of Ethiopia and tigray.

There's also footage of Nigerians and other people of colour being discriminated against, this was what I was waiting for, Russia would have been worse cos there's very little diversity there. There's also Nigerians that escaped for economic reasons, who said they rather take their chances there than to come back to Nigeria. If the government should make it visa free, over a hundred Nigerians have volunteered in a war where they'll likely be used as baits and would die like chickens. Think about it.

RTE news : Almost 12,000 pledges to accommodate Ukrainian refugees

This is from a country undergoing housing crisis.
Thousands are gonna be coming In, if you need to study, I strongly recommend elsewhere. The UK offers the same package that Ireland offers, I heard the cry of those that came to study last batch and even ending of 2020.

According to the report, Ireland struggled to get a thousand unit/accommodation for months during the Syrian crisis. In less than a week, over 12,000 have submitted to host an Ukrainian refugee, you can deduce as you want haha.

My advice would be to work within the 20 hours stipulated. The guidance is there for a reason and flouting it puts your future in Ireland in peril. When I was undergoing my MSc in UK, some students worked more than the 20 hours advised and felt they had gotten away with it, only to have their ILR denied, 7 years after, over them flouting the rule.

When you make any application in the future, your history will be reviewed and depending on the mood in the country or if the VO woke up angry that morning, this can be flagged up and used to deny your application.

The rules are clear, 20 hours during term time and 40 hours between December and January and from June 1st. Please adhere to it!

That's right, the rule was bent during the pandemic, its best to adhere to the 20hours rules, as we're out of the pandemic.
Thanks for this.

Scam awareness!

Just incase someone asks you do invest in crypto, pls be careful, you'll be introduced to a new platform with genuine coin or a platform with fake coin that will be abandoned in no time, dragging your holdings closer to zero

Crypto trading comes with enormous risks, position trading is super risky as you can be liquidated in a zap. Even with all the knowledge and forecasting they do, it's usually alot to do with gambling, your emotions is your worst enemy. And when your emotions is slightly against you, you can lose your entire holdings in a flash. I have experienced that.

You can trade bitcoin, only legitimate way is to buy now and wait, its low at the moment, when it's high towards 60k, sell, it's simple.
I made a mistake towards last year when it rose up, I bought at $37,000 for bitcoin and promised myself I will sell when it got to $70,000.
Crypto kept rising till it got to $69,000 and started to crash

Guess what, I LOST NOTHING cos I'm not doing position trading, my holdings are in tact cos I HODL. Haha
I will simply wait and sell when it gets to my target and Cash out safely,
This is the only safe way to go into bitcoin. What professional traders don't show you is the time they lose money, they only show you the wins cos the more people that trade, more it rises.

I expected bitcoin to undergo some fluctuations with the Ukraine crisis, but saw nothing, this is why emotions is our worst enemy.

Everytime someone sells their holdings on bitcoin, the price drops depending on size of the investment, same as when they buy. Usually people that trade bitcoin and look fresh in Nigeria are either buying and selling on behalf of people - third party or they're into scams. If you have to do permutations and analysis, and you deduct your losses from your profit, you can make a decent living, comes with lots of risks and expertise. These aren't the kinds we see promising us heaven on YouTube.
Just popped up in my mind, I would hate if mischief comes upon your hard earned money.
Cheers.

Driving licence

For some of you that want to start driving or think the driving licence process is tough here.
Having the driving license
To start you need a learners permit, gotten through writing the theory test

To get the perfect score
Don't buy anything anywhere, you just need the theory tester, do it as often as you can its super flexible, and free of charge, I'm going after our educational system in Nigeria in future, how can you set questions, give exams and fail to give students a corrected mistakes so they can do better in future.

This theory tester will after every mock show you all your mistakes with detailed explanation. With this I got the perfect score only twice with the mock. And got 30/30 in real test. It's simple.

Thanks to the pandemic, after my masters exam was made online, I knew deep down it will only be a matter of time before they made the theory test remote, I was able to take it in the comfort of my room, sweeet!!!

http://theory-tester.com/tests/car-theory-test#question/1

This is not an ad ooo, I never reach that level yet. Haha
Since the launch of my thread, I've not gotten a single kobo. It's all free service.

Well said Chiggs. The driving licence is something else. I passed through a lot to get the Category CE Articulated truck licence from scratch to finish. Spent over €6000 and time that I cannot quantify. The worst is going through 4 practical driving tests(B for Car, C for Rigid truck, CE for Articulated truck and Walkaround test for CPC)

That's alot of money, it's what irish citizen will pay for a masters, the truck licence is hard, they made it that way cos of safety concerns, can't believe you even took car.

Omo you try oh! Kudos to you. For those who want to drive here and you have a drivers license from home, get a letter of entitlement from home from FRSC. It will reduce the number of tests required from 12 to 6 and your period as a learner from 6 months to 3 months.

It exempts you entirely from the 6 months wait. You can do ur practical driving test immediately after the driving lessons and driving lessons will be reduced to 6 modules. Its called Reduced EDT(Essential Driver Training).
Apart from the 6 months wait exemption, I would advise everyone to complete the 12 modules lesson as it will boost ur confidence and knowledge to pass the practical driving test. I passed all my driving tests in one sitting, no retest at all

First, sad to hear about Deborah that was lynched in Nigeria. I know based on experience that very few northerners migrate permanently, so I'm safe to say whatever I want. It is wrong to kill first. Religion is man made, let's get that clear.

There was a discussion, emoney sponsored portable to the UK, igbo were saying emoney left other igbo musicians and tool a yoruba. If you support that... I'm igbo myself.
I came across a fairly new concept, earth citizen, Earth Citizen is defined by the right to put your Earth citizenship First before Nationality. Your day at pennys. You think these are easy till newbies start getting groceries at spar,
These are few ideas to get you started, I would have done that but I'm only a humble keyboard warrior lol. Cheers.

Been kept so busy, this football player was under fire for kicking his cat. How is that a cat in the UK has more dignity and respect than a child in Nigeria.
He almost lost his place in the team along with his 75million naira he gets every week after the video went viral.

Thanks to the church, parents will proclaim, spoil the rod, spoil the child, this is disgraceful. The UK colonial masters won't beat up their child yet they beat us even to death during the slave trade. Then we now passed the aggression onto our children. Because they're vulnerable and young. Try to beat a working class woman, and see if she won't sue and flee. Beating of children, house wives and dependent partner is shameful. Yet we go to church and expect to go to heaven.

I believe there's good and bad in us. And claiming to be all just and pure will only result in discrimination and division. Just as the saying, the Brightest light cast the darkest shadow.

There's been so many death from domestic violence. The death of osinachi, the boy from Dowen college, bullying and so on.

These things affects us as a society, bunch of boys will go around and harass an innocent boy, beat him till he loses his identity as a Human being. Its always known that bully's come from dysfunctional and abusive homes and lack the necessary things healthy boys needs.

We always will have people with dysfunctional homes in the society, just sad when they have access to weapons.

First of all, every child In Nigeria has to be treated with dignity and respect, imagine the support a cat in the UK can get. Isnt that shocking. I will come after some of you in future. I was dating one Nigeria girl, the blood in my body dried when she gave me her views. I forgot to tell her the day I come from work and one eye of my child is missing just because the child broke remote or didn't close the door properly, I won't blame myself with whatever action I take.

That's the story of my primary school teacher with a partially closed eye. His uncle was flogging him till the belt got into his eye and blood came out. The reason for flogging can't be justified.

My heart goes out to peope especially women in marriages with an aggressive partner. They can't flee because there's no social support from the government whatsoever. You need to see the comment of one pastor Newman about Osinachi death, I have marked that pastor already. He likened her victimised suffering from her husband to persecution as Christians. With all the suffering in Nigeria, you want me to carry over Persecution, does GOs suffer Persecution with their convoy and posh lifestyle? Did any of us kill Jesus Christ? The real Jesus wasn't even White, he was mostly in the middle East/African.
