None. According to them I am free to marry from any tribe I find true love.....But deep down in me I know they would hold a family meeting on top my head if I bring home a northerner. They would wanna confirm if am with my real senses or under a spell before giving me their blessings.


As for me sha there're some tribes I won't even consider for marriage, most especially one from my state. I won't mention names, make e nor come look as if I dey hate.

My parents never forbade us from marrying any tribe but my grandfather before he died, gathered us all ( his female grandchildren) that travelled to the villa then that we should never marry from the north ( Hausas).

He claimed they killed all his brothers during the war. He was the only surviving son because he was already married during the war so they only targeted and picked his younger brothers who were not married then to join the army and they were killed by Hausa soldiers because they had no formal training to fight in the war.
So, his resentments for them made him vow that none of his children or grand children would marry there.

Even when Babangidas brother in-law wanted to marry me, I refused when I remembered my grandpas warnings.

On nairaland, two gentle Hausa guys have asked my hand in marriage but I turned them down because of this same issue.
Though i didn't tell them it was because of my grandpas warnings. I just gave them another reason.

For me, there's a tribe I forbade myself not to marry from but I won't say it here because majority of the people indicating interest are from there. So don't wanna hurt their feelings.

Pls any advice to a guy wanting to marry from nnewi

Like for instance you hear people say no neat cross river and co cuz their women will cheat and all those kind talk

So abg those anyone have something to say about nnewi
