It can't be like East own.. real cases we've heard where the landlords enter into tenant's apartment while he is away at work to oxlade his wife, some it's co-tenants or siblings that will be serving the wives hot hot.

I don't think this has to do with illegitimate children.

Maybe some clans permit taking in other people's children especially if they were born out of wedlock. I think the father of the lady takes the children as his.

Sometimes people would just want to create an annoying buzz to feel as if they are more African than the whole continent.

this is one of the mumu feminists counterpoint to female promiscuity and paternity fraud. Switching of babies during childbirth is one of the rarest of rarities on earth.
1. Women don't line up to give birth which would result to multiple children being birthed at the same time and place which could lead to midwives getting confused.
2. Newborn babies aren't taken from their mother after birth to be kept somewhere together with other newborns which could lead to confusion. You give birth, the nurse bathe the baby, with your own soap, wear it the cloth you brought and return it to you.
3. One nurse does not handle multiple women giving birth at the same time. Where is she going to get the other baby to swap with?
Newborns are handled very delicately and nurses quickly return the babies to their mother and give it all the injections right there in front of her if it's having complications.
Feminists and promiscuous wives brought this child swapping just to try and downplay paternity fraud.

This is why I love some cultures, there's no need for DNA test, the child simply won't survive if it is not a bilogical issue of that particular lineage. I know some Yoruba and Igbo communities that still practice it till date and looking at the cost of DNA and the issues surrounding it, the greatest solution here is a brutal and harsh deterrence.
