Also, just to put your mind at rest, i know someone whose reapplication is three months though he told me his eligibility review has started.

I salute everyone and especially the experts on the great platform. We shall all be favoured by God's grace.

Please I have the following information and questions and shall require answers that can guide in my preparation for study permit application @makano etc. Kindly forgive my manners.

1) I'm a registered Civil Engineer with years of. experience and have worked with multinational before setting up my own company but have applied for 1yr Advance Diploma in Environmental Engineering which the class start May, 2022.
2) I have 4 registered limited liability (construction, Farm, Logistics and Bakery) companies but 1 (construction) is most active with contracts from govts (Local and State).
3) I'm married with a son
4) I have Landed properties.
5) I'm a director to my wife registered business name (enterprise)
6) I have pension cert of my previous place of work including payslips, confirmation Letter and also redundancy letter which was the basis I started my own company.
7) I have a building as Inheritance but with other siblings and I'm the coordinator.
cool I don't pay myself salary in my company but share profits periodically.

Here my question; Are the above information enough to support my application especially proof of fund and home ties?

What should I include and documents should be removed before submission?

Do I required to submit letter of introduction and study leave to be signed by the second director and Secretary?

Should I submit CAC for the company or just the active 1?

Please kindly guide on what documents I should consider for my application.

Thank you

Kind Regards.

My beautiful people. I feel so blessed and privileged to have joined this forum early enough. Right from the first stage of application for admission to the final process of visa application, I was guided, tutored and advised by so many wonderful and selfless people on this forum. Every single thing I know today about the Canadian study application process, I learnt from here.
This application is actually for my wife who is a first time applicant but I handled the entire process. Yes, there were times we were tempted to let an agent handle the application but the money that was being quoted was a bit too much for us so we opted out and decided to venture into the unknown by handling the application ourselves. I give God all the glory and honor for it has ended in extraordinary praise.
We utilized the NEW PORTAL for the application. I highly recommend using the new portal, it seems to be somewhat faster than using the regular gckey. Our timeline is highlighted below and please note we DIDNT pay any school fees

Application Submission - December 31, 2021

Biometrics Completed - January 4, 2022 (updated same day)

So sorry, I’ve been refused twice and still going for it… just order for your GCMS notes and make the correction for the recommended reason for refusal and fire again. You may have to fight some battle more than once to succeed. All the best

Whao congratulations

mama12345:
Good news guys, my PPR just came in at 7:46am this morning. It can only be God, I am still in shock. My story is a special one, my Bachelors is Law, I have an LLB, BL (Law School), and Masters in International Business, but I applied for Diploma, not even Post Graduate Diploma, but Diploma in Digital Business Management. I wasn't even aware of this forum when I applied in September, I just followed a YouTuber (Noel Abingwa) and learnt the steps and documents needed when applying for my visa through one of his Videos. I contacted him and he was kind enough to share his statement of purpose/ letter of explanation with me. As I started getting anxious, I decided to join this forum 30th December and it was so encouraging because I kept getting alot of support, more especially from @Makano.

I got this message below from Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship's Office, on the 18th of February 2022

IRCC records confirm that your application was received on September 6, 2021, and is being processed at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi. Criminality checks and medical examination results are passed, however, further review is required before an eligibility decision is made. This means that the case is no longer straightforward and will, in most situations, lead to additional delays in processing. Once a decision has been made, officers will be in a position to determine next steps in processing

Thank you for answering my questions, more especially in the past two days after the message I got above.

@Makano encouraged me that "If truly you are truthful with your application and you didn't hide any information from them, then expect a positive decision from them"

Thank you @PatrickOkunima @olasubomy @mrprolifik @VIKKYIFE @Teemenzo @Time2soar1 @Predator188 who helped give me answers to my posts as well.

I even ordered for GCMS notes on the 4th of January but its still not out.

My Time Line

Submission/AOR 6th September 2021
Medicals Passed 25th October 2021
1st Ghost update November (Not sure of exact date)
2nd Ghost update 24th January 2022
3rd Ghost update 19th February 2022
Passport Request 21st February 2022

My application took a total of 168 days , 5months, 15 days. I DID NOT USE AN AGENT

God did it for me. I cannot thank God enough. It can only be God

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 1:46am On Feb 22, 2022
I could only see one 'same day event' here, which is biometric update. And that's possible.

The person seemed to have booked medical exam in advance, and the date of his exam was a day before he submitted his application. He could have decided to submit his visa application the same day of the medical exam too, since he had booked the date in advance and he had the choice to submit his visa application any day.

Also, if one submits a paper application, one will ideally do biometric the same day.

I hope the answer helps.

Thank you for your response I appreciate it.

Does that mean I will take only the 2 kids (American citizens ) when leaving now or after I have gotten to Canada and I apply for the whole family. at what point do they get the study permit I am to apply for.

technix:
Hi aamey15,

I replied you earlier, but I am reposting if you missed it.

1. It is preferable to apply alone first and apply for family later.

2. You can submit your statement alone if that covers the required funds. If not, you can submit your statement and hubby's

3. Yes, you got adequate home ties.

4. No, it won't be an issue. Moreover, an EE profile is not the same as EE application.

**You might be aware that you won't need visitor visa application for your two children who are US citizens. And if they will require study permits, you can apply for them at the port of entry.

Best of luck!

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 2:37am On Feb 22, 2022
You have enough hometies: your spouse and son (assuming they are not going with you now), your companies, landed properties, study leave.

You will submit your marriage certificate. You can add the evidence of the active company and your landed properties. You are not required to, but you can add the study leave letter.

But I can't find any proof of fund here (you need a statement of account).

Anyone? GURUS IN THE HOUSE?
Ebukawilson13:
Hello guys,
I hope you all are fine.
Please i need your advice on this matter.
I left secondary school 2016 i got admitted into a polytechnic in Nigeria 2017, finished my Ond 2019.
I had 2 references 2020 covid year. I tried applying for admission into Mun Newfoundland but they requested for my Ond transcript which the school refused to release less i address the references.
Still in the process 2021 i lost my dad on February.
Long story short i retook those courses and I'm currently trying to get the transcript but they are saying that the result is not ready and it can take till September.

I already applied to another school in Canada with my O level result still waiting for their decision though.

Here is my problem; the 6 years study gap if I'm not going to include my ond years and delays.

Please how do i address this.
I really need your professional advice.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 3:24am On Feb 22, 2022
Sorry to hear about your experience.

For admission, don't include your OND if O'level is sufficient (and your OND transcript isn't ready).

But for visa application, include your OND (I assume you have the certificate or statement of result). So, you won't have more than a 3-year study gap even if you haven't been working. The VOs won't go to your school to ask whether you used OND to seek admission or not.

You are welcome.

You can take them when leaving now if that is more convenient. Just mention in your application and LOE that they are accompanying you (and that they are US citizens). But also be sure that the proof of fund you submit covers the required amount for the three of you.

Once you land in Canada, at the point where you will be issued your own study permit, you can apply for theirs. The officers will guide you.

Gurus in the building, please advise me

Add more money to the account, that will be sufficient for disbursement, i paid $9292 CAD yesterday which was converted to $7464 USD @ 419/$, that should give you an estimate of what amount you should fund your account with. Also, click on help on the website to see the process for form A amendment and contact your bank, that way your submission will be reviewed, no need to start over again.

Hi Deronke1,

Let’s the mathematics…
If you say 5million per year, meaning it a 2 year course, Right? IRCC requires a year fund though, subjected that you have a good source of fund.

Remove 5million (Tuition fee) from the 8million…
Is what you have left equal 13,000 CAD (Cost of Living) ?

If not, it is not enough
Canada race is more than having money in your account sef. You will show source of your money too.
So take your time to get things right…

Regards.

Deronke1:
Please is 8m proof of funds enough for student visa and sowp.
The uni cost 5 million per year
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 5:29am On Feb 22, 2022
At times, your eligibility review will not show 'started' until your visa is approved. You will just see eligibility review passed.

So, don't bother yourself with checking the status. Just keep praying and wait for a notification from IRCC.

Congratulations to you and your wife! I do have some questions, will send you a mail, thanks.

purespikes:
LONG POST ALERT
This testimony is on behalf of my wife, who is a silent member of this forum and has been following this thread consistently since Part 19. The Canada journey started in 2019. We started with the EE route by doing WES and writing IELTS, but due to age, we couldn't gather the needed points. Getting PNP also became difficult. So, in 2021, we decided to focus fully on the study route. As such, my spouse and I devoted time to gathering knowledge from this thread. The biggest challenge we had was how to convince the VO on her choice of program (Master of Organizational Management) considering her career as an Auditor in the public service with previous degrees in Accounting( 1st) and Policy Analysis (MSc). She also had lump sum deposits into her account. However, we took another 3 months to systematically build her account as a self-sponsored applicant and also gave detailed explaination on every lump sum deposits in a separate LOE. So, after settling for Crandall (she got admission into many colleges) we eventually submitted her application alongside a visitor visa application for my son.
