Mooh247:@the bold Check your facts right, most of the young military officers then that you mentioned above were not part of the coup that killled those leaders you mentioned back then 1966.the coup was master minded by Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu and Emmanuel Ifeajuna. Rather those military officers you mentioned were at the center of the counter coup, which was majorly a retaliation by vast majority of young military officers from the north, infact it was master minded by Murtala Muhammed in which Aguiyi Ironsi (the then head of state) and Adekunle Fajuyi were the only casualties for not bringing to justice the Military officers that were part of the first 1966 coup. I get where you're going but this your illustration is ridiculously ridiculous, cos first of all you altered what actually happened in history and secondly that scenario can't be used for the kind of narrative you're trying to draw here |

Mooh247: Dude I like your comments. You respond quite intelligently. What has sincerity, accountability, efficiency, effectiveness, foresight and a host of other characteristics of great minds got to do with age? How old was this same Obasanjo when ruled Nigeria between 1999 and 2007? How old was Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, the man he brought to cover up his mess, when he foisted him on Nigerians? Now his arch rivals; Tinubu and Atiku are taking over the center stage in the next political battle and here he is jabbering about old politicians clearing the political scene. 1 Like 1 Share |

Mooh247: Try they think bros So the past has to be the judge of the present? There's nothing wrong in what he said, this country at this point needed visionaries not missionaries Tinubu is only aspiring to be the president just to complete his political mission before he dies, that man has zero plans for Nigeria, he wants to go down in history as a past president of Nigeria, I'm a westerner and believe me I'll never root for Tinubu to be president, anyone rooting for Tinubu at this point only crave for what is going to fill thier pocket Peter Obi and Osinbajo partnership will do you and your children a very large good 1 Like |

Unfortunately the old politicians have tormented the younger politicians and took a way their self-worth. Imagine in 2021, of the vibrant young educated population in SW region non of them can challenge ancestor tinubu and other older people. Nigerian youths are afraid to even criticise the older politicians , and demand their positions. |

PressMyButton: Did MKO not work against Awo? OBJ and MKO issue might have to do with ITT money. MKO was a "civilian military'....made his money from bogus military contracts. He wasn't a good person self. It's like someone that stole from you and give you token to feed yourself just to buy goodwill. MKO mandate should be separated from MKO the person. Abacha and IBB were his friends until they fell out, he was part and parcel of the coup that brought IBB in. IBB made corruption official. |

This obasanjo was just jealous of tinubu to become president.. He's not happy about it.. I don't believed in youth presidency, unless the youth is a strong politician and performed very well in any administrative/political post.. I support tinubu presidency..I pray,May God support him and help him to succeed.. Amin.. |

Indeed, it's time for young people to take over the mantle of leadership, not just in Nigeria but in the entire African continent. We need new ideas on how to move the African continent forward. Coincidentally, I just wrote an article yesterday about the best books on leadership. Here are the Top 80 books every leader must read. It's the ultimate compilation of the best books on leadership. Read them to acquire knowledge from past leaders. 1 Like |

Thiwalade: You are still cast in that dark shadow of age-old tradition that believes only by age can one gain an experience to lead? Forget it, the world is fast changing, even the experience of yesterday might not be that useful today. We are now in the era of digital information. If you tell people lie, they will know that you are lying, same thing if you tell them the truth, they know, even though it might not be immediate. Do you think that all decisions taken by presidency came from Buhari alone? What are those special advisers, ministers and other arms of government doing? Today, you can learn a lot just by using your tablet and smartphone to guage people's reactions to issues. The world of leadership today is by who can learn quickly rather than those with experience. Knowledge can be expended with bridging any gap of experience in my view. What experience are we even talking about in Nigerian government today Is it the experience of stealing money or playing partisan politics? We don't even have any templates that we follow as a country rather than those that will serve the interests of some individuals. Nigerian youths are far better placed to change this status quo due to their willingness to learn new things and adapt the changes to their lifestyles, which portend great potentials for our country. 1 Like |
